I think most will agree that most Walmart locations are nothing like they used to be. Prices are still decent, but competitors and online shopping is killing the loyalty that many have had in the past. This store is mid-line as far as other local Walmarts, but I'm only rating their Tire Store now. I went in to get a flat tire fixed, and was greeted immediately and personably by Mike. He checked the tire in my trunk and said they would fix it and replace my spare within 30 minutes (I'm really not OCD, but I have a habit of timing things like this...sorry: timer is now on.) I watched as another gentleman took the tire off the rim to patch/plug it, and his expression told it all. He carried the tire toward the waiting area, so I told him it was my tire. He showed me the 8-inch metal cable that punctured the tire, and sliced a nice gash up the tread. It was clear it was irreparable, and he said the "office will take care of you". He was right: they showed me the list of new tire options on their computer, and the salesperson suggested a tire that was third from the cheapest out of at least 15 choices. The cost was still 35% cheaper than the same exact make/brand and size of the cheapest I found online. I was ready to roll at 42 minutes. I got a very good deal and service with a smile, and I'm a very happy camper. Nice job! read more

Everyone hates Walmart, yet we always end up there at the end of the day, don't we? They have a Checkers inside, which excites me as a fat girl. If you hit this Walmart near Midnight, there are no lines, the food is fresh, and there is unobstructed shopping to be done when in a pinch. That's what I was in when I went to CVS down the street and they didn't have that Sally Hansen Leg spray paint stuff I needed for my cruise, so hat's off you crappy human hating establishment! I have to admit that I've been to many a Walmart in my lifetime. And my expectations when going to Walmart are not high based on my past experiences. We don't live in the area of this Walmart, however we stopped because we are on our way to a relative's house and needed to pick up a few items on the way. As far as Walmart's go this to me seem to be cleaner, more organized, and just better in general. One of the staples of Walmart, is having customers wait in long lines, five six seven or eight or more deep, because there are only one or two registers open. My experience at Walmart is that they are always understaffed, and the staff is usually not too concerned about much of anything. I give this Walmart and average rating, because it is above average compared to every other Walmart I've been into. I'm not sure if this is fair or not, but it's my review and that's what I'm going to do. If you need stuff at good prices, and your expectations are managed, this is a solid place to buy things. read more

June 2019, I went to Walmart, 3801 Tampa Rd., Oldsmar FL. for an oil change because I trusted them the most and they will not try to push other repairs on people. I got there at 9 AM and I was 2nd in line for the oil change but they did not get it done until 11 AM even though there was 2 technicians doing just oil changes. My car is white and when I picked it up it had greasy handprints all over it. I was watching them doing the work where they use the same rag that is soaked with engine oil to wipe the transmission dipstick, several times over, to check the fluid level; Yes thank you for checking the transmission but do you have to ruin it with engine oil so it starts slipping. Walmart is the best priced place to get things done, but does reasonable service have to be so bad?? read more

2weeks out of warranty! I understand BUT make me take the battery out Carry 50lbs through parking lot then telling me it's out of warranty not good! Now I'm held hostage. When we moved to the area, I was so excited to find out that there was a HUGE Walmart nearby. However, this Walmart is consistently frustrating to my family and I. It is very difficult to find anything at all, and everything is very unorganized. Third time using the curbside pickup and I am a customer for life!! I am greeted with an ice cold bottled water and a smile...the associates are ALWAYS friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and insistent on 100% customer satisfaction. Today, Associate Nick was extremely kind and pleasant and quick to deliver my small order to my car. The check-in feature works perfectly, predicting exactly when I arrive for pickup; never more than a minutes wait. Produce and meats are always fresh, deli order is spot-on every time. Never a mistake. If a substitution is necessary (I've only had it occur for one item), they more than make up for it. I'm very happy and will continue to use this service at this location. read more

You know, it's Walmart. But if you ever find yourself in a Walmart, this is better of the bunch. Their supermarket section is actually quite good and I find myself doing more and more of my grocery shopping in this location. The hot mess that is Publix in my neighborhood is just not worth the hassle of it's parking lot. This Walmart has more parking then some states so no problem any time of day. Now it is Walmart so if you ever need real help with anything, you will be entering the Twilight Zone. Friendly staff, but it will be an otherworldly experience. The crowd, while still well stocked with "oh my" types, is not nearly as bad as other locations. Overall, this Walmart actually delivers and is clean and convenient. read more

this walmart was a little better than most walmart I've been to and thats saying something. they have a checkers restaurant inside so it makes it very convenient for people i guess to grab something to eat before or after they shop. They also have a smartstyle if I'm not mistaken along with smaller other booths like a cell phone store. the store itself was clean enough and the kind of selection you would expect from a walmart super center. overall we had a good experience in this location. read more

The aisles are blocked by stock placed everywhere, even during peak hours, making it difficult to navigate the store. Staff are not helpful at all. I have yet to talk to a single staff who knows where anything is/what to do. read more

I tried to input a receipt onto my savings catcher AP on 1/25 and I could not. Called Walmart Savings Catcher the next day and after being on the phone for 2 hours was told that my account was hacked and that all the money I had on it (over $100) had been transferred onto a American Express Blue bird card. Walmart fix your carts. I shop at your location only because I work near by and my office needs supplies you sell. I will gladly start driving elsewhere to purchase these goods. If I visit this location one more time and can't push a cart in the direction I want it to go I am just going to leave the cart ghost riding down an isle until it rams into a display and walk the other way. Side note it won't take long for the cart to run into a display because they are all busted. I can only hope that it is like an epic movie scene as I walk away and the entire display explodes or send cans of something rolling in every direction. Also I use a mac so I can not even send you an email about how crappy your carts are because it closes the feedback page every time i select it. read more

Staff not well trained and expect customer to follow "simple" directions such as "upload a photo of your receipt" to a web site. Could not transfer data from old phone to new phone due to lack of accessories, one of which they do not sell. So one part missing means fail and "go online to buy one". Do not have equipment to transfer data from old phone to new phone, you're on your own and too bad if your display is not working because no one knows what to do in that event. Staff polite and eager to help but insufficient training beyond making change. Too bad there was no alternative if I wanted to keep my phone number. read more

I have been to this store twice and both times were horrible experiences with moronic employees. First time I went in there was an item on sale in the middle promotional aisle. I tend to double check the prices on the Walmart app because I have had problems before where it has a price on the sign and get all the way to the register to find out it is not actually on sale. So I do so and the item came up about $75 more than what it says on the sign. I call an employee over to point this out to them and they refused to honor the price on the sign and just changed the price on the sign in front of me. Today I unfortunately found myself in this same store. I am a reseller and have a certified resale tax exempt certificate. I find 2 products that I plan on reselling and am told by the electronics employee that they cannot use the tax exempt on this item. Which is not true at all because I have been to about 20 walmarts in the central florida area and have never had an issue. He said let me check with the manager and walks to the back. Takes a solid 10 minutes before I say screw it and go to the front to check out knowing it is not a problem seeing as I had just come from another Walmart that I bought 4 of the same product and had no issue with tax exempt. I finally get to the cashier and the guy who went to find the manager runs up and says we can only do 1 tax exempt and one not. I say thats ridiculous I have never had this issue and just bought 4 at a seperate walmart. He said thats the rule and what my manager said. The cashier looks at me and says that doesnt sound right and she goes and gets another manager who tells me that they can do 1 tax exempt and one not. So you mean to tell me that 20 other walmart managers are wrong and not abiding by the Walmart tax exempt program. He said its coming from the store manager. I said OK well your store manager is wrong this is issued by corporate and the state of Florida. I bought the one and am going back tomorrow for the other and to get the employees name who was so gung hoe on not letting me buy both under a corporate and state issued tax exempt status. Got 2 orders delivered here that took over 45 minutes for the crew to locate, wasting my time and honestly not giving a good experience. 1st was tires, second was waiting for 30+ minutes for a grocery pickup that had said it was waiting for 15 minutes when I arrived. The people were fulfilling about 2 orders every ten minutes and after 30+ minutes of waiting there were still 5 cars ahead of me. I demanded they cancel my order and left. I could have easily not wasted my time and gas from the car idling by buying the groceries in the store. Not one person gave me a time estimate or asked me how long I had been waiting. Meanwhile a manager was sitting outside jawing with some customers instead of pulling a jack. I've worked stock at Wal-Mart and that isn't policy, that is a manger tho thinks he is above real work leaving customers out to dry instead of rolling up his sleeves. read more

If you enjoy standing in long checkout lines and being approached by people begging for money as you're walking to your car, then this store is for you! This is a constant issue for me every time I shop here. It's too bad because, honestly, the store is well-maintained. They also carry a great selection of food, etc. I just wish they'd either open more registers or teach the cashiers to speed up. If they bagged any slower they'd be going backwards! Then there's the issue with people coming out of nowhere in the parking lot asking for money. I'm actually surprised because this store is in a pretty nice location. You wouldn't expect to see this going on. If I felt more comfortable walking alone through the parking lot, I'd shop here more often. I know many hate Wal-Mart stating the prices, their discrimination or treatment of employees. I realize that some is fact, some fiction and all opinion. So here is mine. I love Wal-Mart! It's a quick and easy one stop if I have 10 different things that would take five different stores. This Wal-Mart is by my house, literally walking distance. It's easy for quick runs or big shopping days. The store is clean. It's organized and well stocked (unless is a stocking day) then it may be hard to find what you need. However, the people are friendly and usually willing to help you. I've only had a handful of issues in the nine years I've been going to this location. I don't do produce here as I don't find it fresh enough but all other groceries are fine and well worth being able to find all things in one place. Be wary of your account information when this store pops up!! This store recently allowed 7, $95 purchases go through using a fraudulent/stolen credit card, all purchases done within a 2 min span. There's something wrong with a business's practices when customer service is so 'quick' that verification of identity is no longer a priority. I've been told by a few banks that fraud quite often happens at Walmarts everywhere. So glad I take my business elsewhere. Protect your hard earned money and do the same. read more

I always shop here due to convenience and usually find everything I need, but I don't think animals should be allowed in the store unless they truly are a legitimate service animal. Today I saw a cute dog in a grocery cart being pushed by a healthy looking couple, probably in their 60's. This is where I put my food. It had no collar, etc. As I was looking for toothpaste, a lady walked by with a dog on a leash. It was sniffing over the toothbrushes, at dog level, while she was looking elsewhere. read more

I'm giving this Wal-Mart 3 because of selection. It definately has more food choices than the wal mart marketplace, and I've never found expired food; which happens a lot at marketplace. It is really busy during the day and the checkout can be a nightmare. Don't even try to shop for a weeks worth of groceries after midnight, they only keep self checkout open. You would think 2 of the 4 employees who were assisting there anyway could've just opened registers. I order a bike online n did ship to store, they Sold me the bike with missing pieces to it and when I asked them about the pieces the manager said the bike doesn't come with them! I showed the manager the description online of all the pieces the bike had included and she tried to bush it off! After she noticed I wasn't gonna leave without the pieces she admitted the bike had missing pieces and something happened to them back in storage and give me other stuff to make up for the missing pieces of the bike. I called the Walmart in Citrus park and asked about the bike the citrus park Walmart had the bike with all the pieces n let me return the other bike for the new bike they had at their. Having recently moved from Tampa and frequenting the many different Wal-Mart locations in the various not so nice areas with the less than desirable clientele I am VERY happy with this store. In comparison the cashiers are super nice and if you need something on the sales floor an employee will actually help you rather than saying they'll page someone, walk away and disappear. All reviews obviously are relatively speaking. BUT from having dealt with ghetto for 3 years this location is a breath of fresh air and clean so I would gladly spend my money here!!!! And I'm a fan of any Wal-Mart that has a wide and usually fully stocked case of ammo. Thank you Wally World for feeding my shooting habits LOL. read more

It seems like every time I go to the auto department here there is some type of issue. An oil change can't go smoothly for some reason. One time they don't have the proper tool (???), another time their out of the oil type my vehicle takes, the 2nd to last time ago, they put the synthetic AND the wrong weight because their book days my Tundra takes that type, although my truck's dipstick clearly has the appropriate weight printed on it!!! Today I dropped off my truck to get the oil change. After the initial drop off I wandered through the main store for an hour to kill time, and that's all I got accomplished... Killing time. I went to see if my truck was done and saw it had been moved to the finished area. I attempted to pay only to be told that the oil change could not be completed because the "tool" was broke. Seriously?? An hour later and they couldn't notify me OR have known that to begin with? I asked why I hadn't been called and was told by the inept associate, "I'm sure someone tried to call you." To which I pulled out my cell, confirmed they had the right number, and showed him I did that have any voice mails or missed calls. WTF? This place is great for our weekly shopping. As a supercenter, we can consolidate the number of stores to go in order to meet our needs. They have everything from pharmacy to groceries. However, I gotta admit that we don't purchase meat from them. We did a few times but the quality was not as good as meat from a supermarket such as Publix. So, even though we meet most of our needs at Walmart, we still have to stop by a real supermarket every once in a while. read more

If you decide to buy produce at this Walmart in Oldsmar you NEED to check your receipt. The cashiers are just picking out any prices to whatever they think the produce is. The cashiers are not fully aware that the produce sticker is all that is needed for the correct price to be charged. I purchased 4 well rated tires from Walmart.com and had the Oldsmar, Fl. Walmart tire center mount, balance and install them. There was a noise that got louder and faster as speed increased. I assumed it was because they were new and it would get better. I don't drive my wife's car often, but my mechanic looked at the tires and said they had a problem. I bought them 2 at a time. One pair had 30,000 miles and the other only about 15,500 miles. I had the alignment checked to make sure it wasn't a vehicle problem and it was OK, so I took it to Walmart for warranty adjustment on at least the lower mileage pair. After waiting an hour for it to be checked, the counter person told me what they found and called the manager in charge to talk to me. I asked what they would do about the premature wear on the lower mileage set and he leaned on the counter and he said " they're cheap Chinese tires and you bought them online!". I said I bought them from Walmart.com, but what you're telling me is you're not backing them and I can screw myself! As he arrogantly turned his back on me and went to a back room, he answered "if that's how you want to look at it". I called out there's no other way to look at it. The counter man was apologetic and polite, but that so called manager wouldn't work for me with that kind of customer service! All I really expected was a price break or credit allowance of some sort. Instead the 'man in charge' leaned on his counter and blew me off! I will never buy tires from them again. If this is Walmart's policy concerning faulty tires, they need a policy change. If not, they need to kick this guy to the curb. I need 4 new tires, but they won't be from Walmart! No matter how much I hate having to go to a Walmart, I just despise coming to this one. Whenever I do have to make a stop here (which is about once every six months) I notice how they never keep their shelves fully stocked. There are times when I have to go on a mission to try and find someone who works at a certain department just so they can check if they have any items in the back room. Another thing I hate is the fact that Walmart tends to never hire enough people at the register despite how long the lines are. There are about 30-40 registers and only about eight of them are opened. I also hate the fact that although Walmart attracts a lot of the lower class people, they should still consider keeping this place a tad bit more clean. I mean I just feel gross after walking out of this place. I don't recommend shopping at Walmart only if you absolutely must. I also do not recommend coming to this location only because of everything I mentioned above. read more

Please be advised that my husband & I wanted to buy a Christmas tree from the Walmart in Oldsmar on Tampa Rd. We had driven down from Spring Hill to get the tree, since we were told this was the only store that had it. Now We were told this particular tree was not in the store, but on a trailer. The young associate, an Elizabeth Nives, went out of her way to help us. She found a worker and got him to get a fork lift and bring us the tree from the trailer. She was one of the most helpful, happy and respectful Walmart employees we have ever dealt with. She certainly had the Holiday spirit and shared it with us.
