I had a really big issue today with my delivery order never being delivered, that had nothing to do with Walmart's team members & everything to do with Door dash & I'll get with them tomorrow about their driver. I just had to come on here & say that I really appreciate the pick up & delivery team. (TIFFANY, assistant manager) & (MORISE) are awesome, god knows they had a busy busy Monday but they made sure to attend to me as quickly as possible. I watched them work as a team & they did a great job at making sure I had everything from my order before I left. Whoever* that women was at the assisted check out in isle 16-17 around 7:43 PM on this date at this location, is very rude and should be reprimanded for her attitude. I was simply minding my business waiting in isle 16, she comes and decides to start directing people to checkout lanes. When I turn my head she shouts "17" and says nothing else I didn't hear, I turn around again and she sounds it yet again while looking at me like I'm an idiot for not answering her demand earlier. I notice there was an employee behind me waiting to check out, I go to 17. I realize the people behind me in 16 made it out first, which is why I didn't understand why I was moved with my two items. I liked my spot in line and there was no need for me to move up to 17 as they were no where near done. I decided not to purchase anything this day due to her attitude. One checker that had to suspend my checkout to find the price of ribs. Went to customer service to checkout again after waiting behind three people prior. I was done checking out at customer service and the meat and price were not back, the reason I went there. I walked out without the groceries and paying and I will not return ever again. The customers were rude to me, and the check out on a Saturday with one person is ridiculous. One self checkout was open on a Saturday afternoon. Get off your yacht and fix your store! I thought this Walmart Super Center at Steeplechase area was the best store in Houston. But I was wrong. I couldn't find any store directory and aisle signs at this store. I only saw aisle numbers. I also find this store layout is not logical as it has narrow aisles and it does not appear to be customer friendly. I was looking to buy a specific toilet seat in the store after an extensive research on their website. I found them at the hardware department. So I picked one product I liked based on the price. Then, I need to know the price. I looked for a price check machine all over the place. I asked a helpful store clerk. Ah, it's at aisle 38. Finally found the price by scanning it on the machine. Shoot! That was twice as high as on the label. Obviously, they put these items on the wrong hook. Man, that was a major inconvenience. But I still shop here because the customers and store clerks are much nicer than those stores I frequent at Northwest and Chinatown. read more

Thanks for the help! Really needed cat litter and to save time because I work 12 - 14 hours a day, thought it might be worth it to order delivery for items that I haven't had time to get recently. The item that I most needed (cat litter) was marked unavailable, so I had to go out to get it, and upon going to Walmart, find that the item is in fact, right where it should be, available, on the shelf, and whomever is in charge of picking up orders did not feel like it was worth it I guess to just bring the item? No offer for substitution or anything. If you don't want to do delivery, don't work in delivery dude. And if you want to argue about working a job you hate because we are in a pandemic, yes I understand, but I am also trying to survive in a pandemic and you are costing me money by not doing the job that you signed up for. Wow, it's been a few years since I have been to this Walmart, and I will make notes of this visit. both going in and coming out we were approached by individuals asking for money. A few feet later a threesome were arguing heatedly. I did not see any type of authoritive manager figure or security. I did not feel comfortable in this store at all. Went to Walmart on 10/25 12353 Farm to Market 1960 Road West, Houston, TX store #03297, spent $548.21. $150.00 of this amount should have been my insurance cards. They were cashed out by Walmart and now Walmart has to put this money back also. Took 2 1/2 hours to check out yes, 2 1/2 hours , first the manager said it was my cards so after many attempts to run the cards the manager then said, they have a new POS system and they haven't gotten the bugs worked out so I finely wrote a check and it was ran electronically finely after 2 1/2 hours I leave but if you think this nightmare is over you will be wrong! I get home and one alert after the other goes off on my phone and I find out Walmart has billed my cards to the tune of $1992.84. Some information for you to know is that the manager cannot do anything about it! I have to call Walmart! Good luck getting the person you need on the phone I had to cancel my bank card because Walmart kept billing it. My wife's bank card was stopped at her bank and now she doesn't have one. So here we are its 11/4 and Walmart still hasn't refunded all my money they still owe me $448.21. Walmart is just not worth this kind of drama the only reason I went in the first place is my insurance gives me a monthly food alliance and Walmart is the only large retailer that takes it I don't think I will be going back to Walmart I will just go back to using it on line. Now they owe us $29.00 for fraud and $10.00 for a new card and about $500.00 for the two hours that was wasted and there was not even a chair to sit down, we stood all this time. For some reason when I want to get away from the "elements" I come to this location because it is not ghetto like the one on West Road/I 45 almost where I live. The are building a brand new one 5 minutes from my house (249) and I can't wait till they get that one started. I will however know that even though even more convenient that the surrounding neighborhood is going to bring the new one constructing up down like a Titanic Mart. Walmart Auto Center Houston, 1960/Eldridge. So apparently this is where the "Walking Dead" come to "work." This was among the worse customer service I've ever experienced. Employees in the Auto Center completely ignored customers, not even a "Hello, someone will be with you soon." You have to stand outside the store near a little podium and multiple employees just pretended as though several customers were invisible. There were cars in the service bays but little to no activity, employees appeared to be wandering around aimlessly. We stood there, just waiting, for about 15 minutes without any acknowledgement. Another customer who was already waiting when we arrived, tried to get their attention, but was also ignored (one guy did look up, but didn't respond). I would not recommend the Auto Center to anyone. This is not a general complaint about Walmart; I've shopped at Walmart many times w/o issues and previously visited their Auto Center in Pearland (a few years ago) and had no complaints about the service. read more

Whats the point of having almost every open lane be self checkout (there were only 2 open "manned" lanes on my visit, each with 10 plus people with cart fulls), and accepting WIC when you can't even use WIC as a payment option at the self checkouts?! And having employees who seem untrained on the self checkout machines/how to fix errors? Not to mention, having merchandise on the floor that has supposedly been recalled so it can't be sold? I am going to update my original review to increase the score here to a 3. My primary reason for changing is that most Walmart's (including this one) have installed self check out stands that greatly speed the exiting process. Usually the wait is very short if there is one to self check out and if you prefer working with a manned check out station they still have those. Also, I have not experienced any problems for a long time getting a buggy upon my arrival. Finally, the staff have been helpful when asking for directional help in finding something. I went there on April 27th at about 8:30ish am and received awesome great service in the automotive department! I didnt get the guys name but he was a Caucasian gentleman early 20's blondish / brown hair , slender build guy that installed an air filter in my car and a cabin filter. I had to go exchange the air filter I purchased for a different one and by time I returned he had cleaned the corrosion that was on my battery post! I thought that was very professional of him to go out of his way to clean my battery post. He also informed me that they had my battery for 99.00 bucks and to make sure I replace the battery post too , since the corrosion may have damaged them. He also put a preventive spay on them to help keep the corrosion away.. He did install them and had a great attitude and displayed Class A service!! He should be recognized by management for his outstanding service. read more

Your CSM, Lettie, needs an attitude check and a class on Customer Service. She was helping check out customers and her light was off. I assumed her lane was closed and stayed in the lane that still had their light on. Instead of approaching me and letting me know she could check me out she just shouted from behind the register "HELLOOOOO??!" When I told her her light was off she just stared at me and checked my items out. While doing she so was popping bubbles with her gum and shouting at one of the employees in a very rude tone. She did tell me thank you and to have a nice day but no one needs to be shouted at. There are better greetings for CSM's to use. read more

For the SECOND time I have gone in the fitting room and come out 5 minutes later and my cart with all my items in it GONE. The fitting room person has no idea who took it or where they took it but I am expected to re-shop for all my items?! AGAIN? Waste an hour of my time because your staff doesn't pay attention? DO NOT SHOP HERE! My 60 year old mother was doing some late night shopping, not too late, and she was attacked by another shopper! I was MORTIFIED as I got the call telling me what happened. My mom and another customer were shopping late at this Wal Mart. There were little personnel around. This customer wouldn't let my mom go down an aisle and was blocking off the aisle with a cart. As my mom passed by, this irate customer hit my mom on her back. Hello! My mom is 60 and is 5'1. As my mom turned around trying to defend herself, this customer kept hitting her in the face with some Wal Mart products. My mother in a daze, finally screamed out for someone to help her. It took minutes of this happening before management finally came to help. To top it off, my mother said that the managers were laughing in front of my mom when they got the attacker off of her to add insult to injury. She was SO HUMILIATED. Instead of Wal Mart trying to rectify the situation, by calling the cops, my mom had to call the cops herself. As she called 911, the 911 operator told her that she had to keep the attacker from leaving, so she did this on her own. Wal Mart employees didn't even offer to help. When the cops finally got there, my mom called her lawyer and her lawyer told my mom to ask Wal Mart management if they could save the camera footage so that she could have that for evidence. She was NOT asking them to give her the tape, but the manager there said that the tapes would have to be subpoenaed for them to release the footage. Again, she only asked if they could save it, not give it to her. She was fine with that but she requested that the tapes not be erased for the hour that the attack occurred. Then as the cops arrived, the story changed and the manager claimed that there was no video footage at all. They claimed that they didn't have the cameras or that the cameras were not recording, one lie after the next. This is SOOO SHAMEFUL. How can they tell her one thing and then tell her another when the authorities arrive? Who would want to shop at a Wal Mart like this? Cameras or no cameras. If they had cameras and they were not recording, then all Houstonians could shop here and steal what ever they want? So they either told my mom a lie, or they don't have a security system in place if this happens to anyone else. If this is the kind of "Customer Service" that Wal Mart employs, I will make it my mission to tell everyone I know not to shop here! read more

The one stylist they have in Pro Style is in need of people skills. I stopped by to ask a question or two about getting a flat iron and was turned off completely by the one hair stylist on hand to answer my questions. Apparently she didn't want to be bothered, because she answered exactly two questions and continued styling the hair of the customer in the chair. Needless to say I will trying my own skills at using a flat iron or searching for more personable, skilled natural hair stylist. read more

Needless to say, I hadn't seen any of the reviews before stopping at this store. That being said, my experience was nothing like many of them. I was at my chiropractor's and had some time before lunch, needed a few things, so I went into this Wal-Mart to get them. It was my first visit. I found what I needed. The employees that I interacted with were pleasant and I was checked out quickly with only one customer in front of me in line and there weren't any excessive lines at the checkout. I am definitely not afraid to throw Wal-Mart or anyone else under the bus. But, they have to deserve it. I avoid the store that is closest to my house if at all possible due to experiences similar to those described here. The store's performance on the day of my visit could be an anomaly. This is a pretty bad Walmart, even by Walmart standards. I spent a year or two working for different grocery store chains in my youth, so I usually know my way around these things. That being said, the organization of this Walmart is beyond rhyme or reason. Unless of course the reason is to confuse the crap out of you and force you to walk up and down the main isle as many times possible. For example why would you put the ice cream on the first isle, it'll melt by the time you get to the back. Next up is the selection. They are missing tons of items I can usually find elsewhere. Last time I was there they didn't any Hot Rotel Tomato Sauce for my Queso, only the regular stuff. The only time I would actually go here is if I am on a time crunch and need some weird combination of things, like peanut butter and a car battery. Speaking of automotive, the oil changes here are quite cheap. Finally there are never enough checkout lanes open, and there is only one good checker. read more

I went to Wal-Mart located at 12353 Farm to Market 1960 Rd W to get an oil change. They tell me after they serviced my car that I had an oil leak. It wasn't until after they serviced my car that I started seeing oil in my parking space. Why would they change the oil? For one, the oil is going leak out. And two, if I have to get the oil leak fixed the oil change was a waste of time. They are now costing me over $200.00. I use to love shopping at Wal-Mart. read more
