It took a few times at the gas station to realize I was not getting my fuel points. After a visit to the customer service they added the fuel points to my account. So today, I tried 3 different Shell stations and none would recognize my card, so I drove to my Kroger and tried their gas station ( I had 1000 points). Same thing. So I went into the store to the customer service and she did something on her computer and she assured me that the card would work. I returned to the Kroger gas station and same thing - card was not read. So I HAD to go ahead and fill up as I was on empty. Back home I called the 1-800 number. What a joke! They of course said they had worked their majic and my card should work now. Well I had already filled up the tank, WITHOUT the points, so I asked for reimbursement for my gas purchase. They refused but offered a $16 credit for future gas or grocery purchase. REALLY?!!!!!

Ordered a custom 2 tiered wedding cake with graduation decorations and matching cupcakes in store…read more The baker was patient and helpful taking my order on her tablet and helping me to make adjustments. I scheduled the pick up for the following week. I arrived in store, quickly picked up my items (which were perfectly boxed for safe travel) and self paid at the register. Exited through the new screening portal thingy and the exit person politely and discreetly reminded me that I might not have paid for the 2 bottles of wine sitting in the top of my basket near my purse and I could go back and pay for them ‍‍. We both laughed and I headed back to the register. This could have gone a few different ways and I'm grateful she was professional and realized by how mortified I was at my mistake. I quickly self paid for the wine and was waived through by her without showing a receipt because the portal payment thingy apparently notified her that I had paid for all my items. We smiled and laughed as I left and I thanked her. I safely made it to my destination cake box seat belted in and safe. On the day of the party, I had a 2 hour delay from leaving the house and arriving at the party venue and Texas heat deciding it wanted to act out, promptly melting a few rows of my cupcakes in the car so don't judge those pictures, but thankfully the cake held up beautifully. The checkout system is easy and fast. They lean toward support of small restaurant business so you find those things in bulk. They tend to have more potato chip, pretzel etc. selection. They have a good selection of frozen food items. The bad: the place isn't as clean as Costco. It's not unusual to find empty shelves devoid of product with just empty boxes, or flats of product sitting in the aisle. Their prepared meals aren't as varied or good. The wine selection is inferior. The drugstore section has these rediculously long aisles so you have to traipse forever to find something. Member's Mark house brand is much more hit or miss compared to Kirkland Signature. The food court looks like a copy of Costco's offerings, good butva bit below Costco. Sam's gas prices are lower than the surrounding and equal to Costco but their pump area is filthy, where you could eat off Costco's. Costco fuel is Top Tier rated; Sam's is not. The people at Sam's are hit or miss, some good, some surly much like Walmart; I've not yet met an unfriendly Costco employee. Overall, it's a good alternative to other retail but is definately a big notch below Costco.
