I had a great experience at Target. Went online to purchase a couple of baby gifts from the registry. They let me know the order was ready about an hour before. Also, you can let them know you are on the way and also once you get there for the fastest service. I did not say when I was on my way, but only waited 5 minutes while they gathered my order. Target has completely gone sideways. There is too much to mention, so I will actually mention something positive that needs to be brought back. Then maybe everything else will fall back into place?? Here we go ---- I miss the Target at Jones and 1960 in that big shopping plaza. I liked it because it was the last in this area that had the REAL Food Avenue. It was an actual tiny restaurant . They served coffee, tea, and soda, hot dogs, hamburgers/ cheeseburgers with all the fixins, cheese sticks, chicken fingers, french fries, fresh made DAILY sandwiches & salads, soup, nachos, chili, pizza (yes they had an oven!), those WONDERFUL soft pretzels in salt, parmesan and cinnamon sugar, a full breakfast (no pancakes but every thing else), of course the popcorn machine & icee machine... two flavors. Every bit of what I mentioned was served all day long. Target NEEDS to bring this back. read more

I've been to this location at least 20 times total on different occasions(because it is the closest location to me) and it is sooooo ghetto and not at all like other targets. The employees genuinely suck. Almost all of them. But they probably all hate working there because of the people they get (maybe?). The fitting rooms are DISGUSTING every single time I've ever had to use them. Multiple items in food are expired, have mold, or twice I've gotten ice cream and it was completely melted? So I told the cashier so maybe they could take them out since they're clearly not good to sell and got an eye roll and some serious attitude . This location is just so trashy! Honestly you'd get better service at Walmart which is shocking. read more

We avoid the target at 529 and highway 6 and only frequent this location for several reasons. Product variety, cleanliness and most importantly, service. Today's morning visit here to pick up my online pickup order was extremely quick and easy. I forgot to order a few grocery items and ran to get it to find myself needing a cart... because they had items on sale I wanted and because they started carrying specialty items that I often have to go to Whole Foods for. Self checkout was beyond easy, especially since my payment was setup in my app that just used my gift cards I previously loaded in. read more

The general consensus says that this is a typical Super Target. But I hardly agree. Am I from another planet? Hush no. I'm just not from this area and I view things differently. I agree with Todd M about only 5 to 6 cash registers open while there are several dozens. They made this store big and empty. That's typical for Super Target. The sad part about this store is unorganized shelves. I bought a belt labeled with my size. I only found out someone switched packaging on a smaller sized merchandise. I was already pissed off. Then, I found some garments with Star Wars. I thought it would be perfect for a party with #MayThe4thBeWithYou theme. But again, they were too small. So I had to return them. Somehow, I found that particular package was $3 cheaper than the Target by NRG stadium. Not sure it was material or location. Then, I started to learn about Modal vs Nylon. It was light and felt like silk. I would buy another Modal if i ever find one at a reasonable price. read more

I visited this Target about 7:00pm yesterday. The self-checkout line was completely closed and there was only one register open. There were 9 people in line waiting to pay. The man behind me went to customer service to try to check out there. They did not help him and he came back in line. They finally paged for help and opened another register. Why did they wait to open a second register? Why was only one register open with a such a long line? Really poor customer service! read more

Pretty sure i was walking by the register and i overheard the cashier say " why is she wearing that she's not sleeping in the house" im wearing sweatpants because i just had surgery on my lower abdomen and im not saying everyone doesn't have a right to freely express how they feel but it made me not want to come back to this target, because of this one employee. Target - Department Stores Near Me - Houston, Texas

A couple of weeks ago I went to this Target (1960 by Home Depot) and they had ZERO manned registers open, only self check out. Normally I am fine with using self check out but this time I had food, clothing and beer. The clothing required security tag removal and the beer required cashier over ride. The self check out was very busy and with only one cashier monitoring all 6 self check out lanes this added an additional 15 minutes to my checkout. Not to mention that if you have a large amount of items to purchase, self check only has room for 2 or 3 bags and is very awkward. I'm going straight Amazon now. I don't see the point in brick and mortar stores anymore if I can't even get someone to check me out with a cart FULL of items. read more

I understand the holidays get busy. But 6 hours calling back to back for someone to tell me why my order isn't ready is crazy. The lady on the phone in electronics didn't even bother looking it up. I sent my husband he waited outside the store while i was on the phone just for her to tell me it's not ready maybe tomorrow we don't know. Literally 4 minutes of him driving off i get an alert that my order is ready! Like how hard is it to get on the screen and just see if possibly my order might be ready. Like what is going on? MONEY HUNGRY with a lack of quality customer service. This store is a joke!!!! I asked the manager at the customer service desk for change after getting cash back from a self-checkout machine. The self-checkout machines doesn't offer an option on how you want cash dispensed (ex: four $5 bills vs one $20 bill). The manager was cold, rude, and unfriendly. She didn't want to help or acknowledge me. Acted as if she hated her job. She left a bad example for the employee she was training at the time. The employees at the Starbucks and the Pizza Hut concession stands are always idling around and talking with their friends that come into the store to only visit them. They will sit down on the job to have long conversations and eat with their friends in the dining area. They act as if they are eating at a school cafeteria with nothing to do, ignoring all waiting customers. Why are they even getting paid? The employees here are poorly supervised and monitored. read more

I bought bounty paper towels and she was saying it is so expense even at a discount to her co workers and said it is better to buy it from the dollar store. I had coupons and their computer kept messing up and said I did not buy it when I pulled out the items multiple times. She got so frustrated and gave such an attitude . Let me start by stating that I unequivocally despise Wal-Mart. This hatred started in high school, when I worked at K-Mart and Wal-Mart employees would come spy on us (I shit you not, true story-they wanted to mark their prices lower than ours). The hatred has grown over the years as I have found that they treat their employees like slave labor, have no respect for indigenous cultures (building a Wal-Mart over a cemetary? Come on!), and have had numerous lawsuits over sexist/racist treatment, which says to me there's a systemic problem. No amount of cheap tube socks excuses that for me. Due to my hatred for Wal-Mart, and the fact that K-Mart is no more in Houston (plus I got sick of them anyway, LOL), I started shopping at Target. Now nothing can tear me away, not even the fact that they took a great Beatles song and used it for one of their commercials! Wal-Mart probably does have better prices on some items, but even if they didn't exemplify everything wrong with Corporate America, I still wouldn't fight the crowds there. Target is a more comfortable environment, both in how the store is laid out and the crowd factor. It seems to me that Wal-Mart stacks things one on top of the other, all the way to the ceiling, which adds to the sense of claustrophobia. Target is almost always neat, spacious, and everything is easy to find. And you can find everything from the latest George Foreman grill to $5 DVD's to deoderant, even furniture. We recently bought a $30 bookshelf at Target that is sturdy AND looks nice (take that, Ikea!). Target is THE BEST place for children's clothes, as they are fairly well made, and for the price, perfect (if they start to fade, tear, etc., it's right when your kid grows out of them!). As far as groceries, I love the prices and just wish they'd expand the grocery department. The prices on frozen shrimp and tilapia enable me to eat my beloved seafood a lot more than if I just shopped at the grocery store. And my fave, Amy's Organic Burritos, are only $1.50 as compared to almost $3.00 at other stores! My only gripe is with the Starbucks in this particular Target; I once sent my daughter over to get us some Macchiatos right before 9:00 PM, and she was told "we're closed after the people in front of you" (there weren't other people behind her either)! I understand they want to get out of there and go live their life, but I've worked retail and I can't forgive that total and complete lack of customer service. I blame Starbucks though, not Target. Target employees have always been helpful and friendly in my experience. The store itself is neat, though the restrooms vary, depending on the day. The parking lot is also maintained well, and they come get the carts regularly, which I like as that means fewer carts outside to hit my vehicle and more carts inside for us shoppers. The service desk is always efficient and friendly; I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to return or exchange something. To be cliche and use a phrase that's probably been done to death: Target is on target (har!). Seriously. Love this place! read more

I went into return some items the day after the mask mandate was lifted from Texas by our wonderful governor Abbott and did not have a mask on and the first employee to see me greeted me sweetly and the employee at the return area did not say anything to me and was very nice. Great customer service Target! I normally avoid businesses that demand I wear a mask so I'm thankful that they honored my choice. read more

I give 3 stars because I love Target in general but I dislike this one for multiple reasons. 1. It closes 2 hours earlier than my old neighborhood Target and I really don't like having to go across to Walmart if it's after 10. Plus they basically stalk you if you are in there past 9:30. 2. The meat, produce, and frozen sections are never really stocked. Lots of free space and empty sections. I'm used to target offering a bit better quality meat and different things. Especially the deli prepared stuff. This one doesn't seem to carry or have much. Same in cleaning supplies. Just messy and not stocked. 3. The dollar spot. Ok ok I understand you want to get rid of one theme before stocking the new but what you guys don't realize here is that if you place they shall buy. SO PUT OUT YOUR FALL STOCK. But really, other locations have this one beat at this. Same for seasonal in the back. If you keep it condensed down you can start placing the new. It's quiet here for the most part which I like but at the registers there's always only 1-2 cashiers. And only one person for cafe and Starbucks. Each should have at least 2 especially during the day. With only 1, she's trying to clean and prep for next day all while serving customers which is not here fault it's just how Starbucks sets things up. Went in around 1:00 pm on a Monday. Not very many people there but the Starbucks of course was booming. There was 1 employee working the Starbucks and the Pizza Hut/snack bar area. After waiting about 5 minutes or so I was looking around wondering where the cashier went. I left the line with my pizza in hand and asked one of the other cashiers who was huddled with his co-workers if they could ring me up. The guy proceeded to point and tell me to go ring the bell and she would be right there. I waited and waited after ringing the bell, went to the Starbucks to get rang up and she told me I had to go back. About 5 minutes later she gave me my pizza and said she apologized that no one came to me. MY MAIN ISSUE WAS THE MANAGER CHRIS who had a smirky fake smile on his face. I told him they really needed to figure out the scheduling issue and get someone else to help that poor girl out. I pointed out the fact that 3 guys were standing around doing absolutely nothing but talking while I was waiting for 10 minutes. He had no sympathy or desire to genuinely apologize. I will try to avoid this location and if at any point I need to go back I will make sure to discuss with management again how terrible the service is most likely going to be. read more

What store expects to stay in business when they're out of stock on nearly everything? Seriously why did I bother coming here, out of my shampoo and conditioner, no cat food or litter, no arm & hammer deodorant, no motor oil, the grocery section is pathetic and open boxes and pallets just sitting around blocking aisles making them impassible. Employees are useless and nowhere to be found, men's clothing is even more of a joke. Walmart is across the street and actually keeps their shelves stocked, the management here should be fired and replaced immediately, clearly they are incompetent. Fleet of employees standing around accomplishing nothing while the shelves remain empty and un stocked this isn't a store so much as a cruel joke on consumers. Pathetic! read more

Don't think I have ever been in a bad target, a small one yes, but dirty or bad no! Great place to get lost in for a few hours. Love to walk and talk in Target after a big meal or mani/pedi. All the ladies in my family love getting lost in Target. With the surge of Target brand products it is almost as good as walmart. read more

I literally just walked out of Target and am writing this review. The ladies I dealt with tonight were just awful. I must preface this bad review with; I have never had a problem with this Target's customer service department with returns and/or online order pick up. And have been shopping at this particular location for 4 years since it is close to my house. I usually take instances like this directly to the manager or supervisor but I dealt with the woman in charge tonight and she seemed to care less about customer curtesy so I've taken to yelp to tattle tell, if you will. I look forward to hearing from the Target team regarding this unnecessary, and rude interaction I had tonight. I placed an online order for a backless bra during the afternoon and received the email less then two hours later that it was ready. I stopped in to grab my order, everything was fine. The woman (manager/ supervisor) was very nice, found my order easily and I was on my home in no time. As I was headed home I noticed the bra was jammed into it's box very awkwardly. I took it out and noticed it was the complete wrong style and size than the box it was in and what I had ordered. I quickly turned around and headed back into Target. For some reason the customer service desk lights were off and no one was behind the counter so I headed to the nearest cashier. I explained that I had just picked up my online order 5 minutes prior and it was incorrect. Apparently she was not listening at all because she first tried to look it up with my receipt to do a return. Then she tried to look it up with my card. She could not find the order. She then tells me to go and get the correct bra and we can just do an even exchange. I go and get the correct item and bring it back to her. Again the cashier is trying to find this online order. She walks over to the manager/supervisor woman ( same woman I received my online order from at the customer service desk) who is over seeing the self check out and explains what happened and that my order is not pulling up. The manager/supervisor says it is not pulling up because I had just picked it up and Target's system has not processed the order. I say " ok, so what happens now because I need the correct item. The one that I ordered." The cashier proceeds to tell me to come back tomorrow when they open at 8am when the order will be processed. I said "noooo, I want my correct order and I will not be coming back tomorrow." Thats when the cashier with a ton of attitude repeated the whole 'Target's system has not processed the order yet line 3 times. I said " that's great, I would still like my order." Cashier say's well you can buy this second bra and then come back tomorrow to return the incorrect one. Again, I said "no, I wont be doing that. Please get whoever you need to so we can resolve this now." The cashier walks over to the manager/supervisor woman and loudly says "can you come talk to her- she's not getting it." Manager/supervisor lady tells the cashier to take the next customers in line and without speaking to me the cashier starts ringing up the people behind me which was super awkward because I was standing at her credit card machine so the new customers had to stand at a strange angle to talk to her, because I was still there. The manager/ supervisor lady at the same cashier's bag stand takes both bras out of the boxes to look at the problem. I point out the incorrect bra's differences and show her the one I had gotten. The manager/supervisor then takes the correct bra, puts it back in the box, puts it in my bag and shoves it at me without saying a word. Completely opposite demeanor from not 10 minutes ago when I picked up this very same order from her. I take the bag and exit Target. Not sure if they had a rough night but those ladies were so rude :-/ read more

I haven't been to this Target in a while and man has it gone down hill. The employee competence level has dropped drastically at this location. My wife went in for a pair a jeans and upon checkout, there was not a tag on the jeans she selected. The bewildered cashier (Danielle) stumbled around for a while crumpling up the jeans and finally called a manager over who I can only guess felt my wife was dishonest when she said all of that brand were $27.99. (She was on the penny.) So the manager took off on what I can only guess was a coffee/smoke break as we sat there waiting. The cashier then just started checking other people out pushing us out of the way. Bottom line is we walked in to spend money here and were treated like it was our fault THEIR jeans were not labeled for checkout. Target will no longer be my first choice for all things, and I will never return to this dump of a store because of the sub-standard employees.. read more

Target is one of my favorite shops. Quick and easy and has everything. This location doesn't usually have many registers open but there isn't a horrible amount of wait time to ring up. Their grocery section has all the staples you need but is light on produce so don't go in with high expectations on that end. Aisles are organized and this location doesn't usually get too packed, so it's a clear winner over the Walmart across the street. The Starbucks inside is not normally super well stocked so I wouldn't bank on it having your favorite drink but they have concessions as well so if you have a little one with you you can grab them a drink or some food while you walk around the store. And it's only .20 to get them a crazy straw and totally make their day! read more

This Target is very frustrating to shop at. Their inventory is often very low. The vitamin section is not usually stocked the way it is suppose be. The clothes section, and shoe section is a mess. I would prefer to shop at this Target because it's close to me, but find myself wanting to go to other Targets because they are much neater and less stressful to shop at. read more

So sorry for the long review...but I must post this. I've shopped at this Target for the last 4 years. I have never had any store ever accuse me of stealing after I returned an item to exchange for a different style or for it being defective. I felt horrible and very sick to my stomach that I could not continue the remainder of my shopping. My boyfriend bought me some regular stud earrings for Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I love jewelry of all types, but my Bf had picked out a pair of earrings that had a frosty, stain glass look to them and they were spheres, with fake rhinestone on them. When I got them as my gift, they seemed like something that a 10 year old would wear because they actually weren't glass, they were just plastic. I just placed them on my dresser and left them until I got the courage to ask him if I could exchange them. I asked him and he said sure, that if he knew they were plastic, he would not have purchased them in the first place. This happened during the first or second weekend of January. I was out running errands and stopped in at this Target. I went in to the Customer Service desk and a nice young lady was there to assist me. She did her job by asking "What's the reason for the return?' and "Since you do not have a gift receipt, I can only give you the reduced sales price as refund and on a gift card would that be okay?" I said that's fine, as I remember from working in retail years ago, my store did that too. I got my $11 + change on a gift card and walked over to the jewelry dept. to select a new set of earrings. As I am browsing an employee had asked if I needed any assistance and I kindly thanked her and said no, I am just browsing. I had already picked out the ones I wanted but was checking out other jewelry as well. So a few more minutes went by and that same employee walked up to me and asked if I was the lady who just return a pair of earrings. I confirmed and then she asked me "And why did you return these again?" I explained that my Bf had bought them for me and they were not my style. She responds with "Well the earrings attached to the package did not match the description that rang up on barcode." I said, well, those earrings were what I received and told her that I don't think my Bf would swap out cheap stud earrings for a even different pair of cheap stud earrings? Maybe these were actually returned this way and put back out and that is what he picked up? She said, "Are you sure those were what was on there when you got it?" I then said to her, I will be glad to give you back the gift card that the funds for the return are on and take the earrings back. It will just be a loss out of my Bf's pocket. And she then said "I am not accusing you of stealing!" I told her, it sure sounds like she was and that I would never, ever steal anything and that I shop here are the time and have never had any problems until now. Needless to say, I could not continue with my shopping because they watch me the whole time. I ended up just leaving and going to a different location. I went back this weekend and while I was there getting a gift bag and gift tissue paper, I was followed down numerous isles by one of their employees. It makes me feel very uncomfortable and OFFICIALLY done with this location. I am a RED Card holder too. Why would a REAL thief have the RED Card that links up to their banking info constantly be a thief??? Most loss prevention situations I've experienced while working in retail used cash for everything. Why, because there is no paper trail. read more

Maybe this Target is in the process of restocking from Christmas but I was disappointed that many of the shelves were empty. I came in to purchase some make up items but found empty shelves throughout the cosmetics department! There was not much to choose from so I ended up buying only 2 elf brushes and a elf brow kit! I can never walk Into any target and spend less than at least $40 on stuff I didn't even come in for. With that being said, I obviously love the place!! We arrived at this Target at 9:37pm. As we were walking up to the store an associate (which I believe was a manager) who was gathering carts said, "we close at 10:00pm tonight." I said, "ok, thank you!" Then we went to get out two things and went to the register. I noticed the same associate opened up another register to get people checked out quicker. While checking us out, a woman walked into the store and got a basket and continued to walk off to shop. The associate checking is out looked at another associate who was standing up at the front by the doors and rolled his eyes and shook his head. I quickly realized he was mad that that lady came in as late as she did. He then something said to the other associate by the door that I didn't hear. Then another girl and guy come walking in and the associate standing by the door told them something and the girl said, "oh we know what we want, we won't be long!" I then noticed our cash register guy was looking over there and shaking his head. Point being, the manager of the store that closed at 10:00pm wanted everyone out by 10! Not just closed the doors by 10 and those finish shopping and leave. He was trying to not have customers come in and shop close to 10! That's poor customer service. If your doors close at 10, then I have up until 9:59 to come in. He apparently didn't care about sales for the company and just wanted to get home early. Horrible. read more

Last week when I went to this location I received excellent customer service from the gentlemen in the electronic section. I was looking for information on upgrading my phone and he was extremely helpful and kind even though I didn't make a purchase at that time. Very attentive. I always go to this location out of the others in the area because I know the service is better there. read more

This Target is horrible. The customer service is ridiculous. I feel like I'm shopping at Walmart every time I go there. Either the lines are long while the managers stand around, not helping or the cashier screws up checking my items and takes 20 minutes to get me through. Tonight, I had trouble with a cashier focused on other people as she checked me out. Then the manager told her not to honor my coupons. This is the worst Target I have ever been to. read more
