This Kohls location has been in my neighborhood for a number of years. The last two times I went was to return Amazon items. I always look around to see if I find anything. They have nice things but super expensive. Women's clothing, cocktail dresses , shoes, appliances, and even Halloween decorations were extremely expensive. The store was empty but they had 2 people working the register and there was a line of about 5 people. Otherwise not sure how they stay open. I really wish they would offer more discounts or mark down more. read more

Beware of Kohls cash ripoff. Twice I returned an item in the store and was given Kohls cash instead of a credit on my card. When I tried to redeem one I was told I used the Kohl's cash in the store right after I received it from customer service. Both times I left the store right after my return. I spent more than an hour talking to several customer service agents. They all said that I used that cash in the store before leaving the store. They finally gave me $20 back on one card. Some how the person at the register must be able to get access to the Kohl's cash. The agents were not very helpful or nice. I don't intend to do my shopping at Kohls any more. read more

I should had posted an updated review last year. I had an impressive experience during 2019 holiday shopping season. After seeing improvement of online shopping on Kohl's website, I found coming to Kohl's Steeplechase store was a treat. Especially coming after work at night, it was peace and quiet. OMG. The whole parking lot was mine. Staff worked all day and still friendly at nice. I came like nearly 10 times in 2 weeks, sometimes during the day to return, pick up or just browse. I also found there were more stuff at Big 'n Tall department than the one on Westheimer. So you wonder why I seek out that size when I am not big nor tall. I found tucked longer shirt can securely cover my behind when I squad. So you know, I haven't been back due to working from home during CoVid19 pandemic. If I am around this area, I would stop by to recapture the good times. read more

Okay it's Kohls. I checked in while visiting there so I'm going to review it. I just honestly don't have much to say about it that everyone doesn't already know. If you are someone who just for some odd reason didn't have one close to you or bothered to stop by to visit one, then guess what..this review is for you. Kohls has something for just about everyone. Prices are decent and they are usually much lower than what is actually marked on the item. It's a good spot for shopping for kids clothing but just keep in mind that if you would rather buy something unique for your kids to wear that all the other kids in the area are not wearing then this place is not for you. This is like the go to place for many soccer moms in suburban areas. They have an OK shoe selection and some interesting items as for as household items like candles, drapes, kitchen stuff, etc. but it's not the first spot you would go to to find those items. As like most department stores they cater mostly to women so they have tons of casual women's wear but NOT for curvy ladies. And when I say curvy I pretty much mean junk in the trunk curvy not Britney Spears curvy. Hope this helps someone. If you have teens, you may be okay here for both teen boys and girls. Note that they stay open a bit later than most department stores other than Walmart. You can pick up some items at least till 10PM on most days. read more

I went in today trying to deliver a returning Amazon package & the guy there was so rude I've NEVER had a problem returning an item with showing a screenshot of the barcode (cause I don't get service inside) & this guy keeped insisting that I needed to login on my Amazon account which I don't understand cause I had the barcode with me & it isn't possible to bring up the code without service he made this big scene about it so I just decided to leave. I went to another location further down & I was in & out within 5 minutes with no complaints about using the screenshot, I hope I never have to run into him again the people they've been hiring lately are horrible w/ ugly attitudes don't apply to a job that requires good customer service if your going to have an attitude ! read more

Bought $200 worth of clothing. Cashier told me I would get 30% off my entire order if I got a Kohl's credit card. After all the information and set up and approval, the receipt was showing $9 off. ?????? Returned the next day to find out, it's not on ALL items, as there are exclusions. Thanks, cashier! Now I got a credit check on my credit for a $9 discount. It's sad to have to TRICK your customers to get them to get a charge card. Closing it once I am billed. Just pathetic. I've shopped here 3 times and it's been a less than pleasant each time. The 3rd time was one of those "final blow" type experiences. First time I went there was to get an accessory kit for the KitchenAid mixer. When I got it home, the dicing wheels were missing; when I took it back the clerk all but accused me of taking them out and returning it. "We have this happen a lot, you can tell when people ask for their money back instead of an exchange". It was the last one you spawn-of-chucky minimum wage drone, what am I supposed to exchange it for, a leather bustier?? Second time was for a sale on short sleeved shirts. The sale was to start Saturday AM, they open at 7AM. I got to the store about 11AM and it looked like a helicopter stocked the men's department by drumping a butt-load of clothes thru an opening in the roof. Shirts were scattered everywhere, every display had different sizes and brands mixed in and it was impossible to find anything. The store didn't seem to be so busy , I didn't understand why the place looked like a battle scene from 300. I left without getting anything. As luck would have it (or unlucky), later that evening I was with a friend when she wanted to go to the Petsmart to get something for her cat, so I wandered over to the Kohl's thinking "Gee, maybe they cleaned it up". Wrong. It still looked like a bomb went off. Third time there was a sale on Levi Docker's. Now I never forget a mistake, which is really cool because I don't have to think up new ones, I can keep doing the same one over and over - which in this case was going to Kohl's for a sale. The pants area was looking like the shirt area did months before. It was nearly impossible to identify which of the shelf units actually had the sale Levi's because they were scattered all over the place, mixed up with Haggar and other brands and sizes. There was an older woman sales clerk at the far end desultorily picking at the mess and I asked her if she could help. I was told that all the pants they have are there. No, really? I thought they'd be stacked with the cucumbers at the Kroger's next door! I did buy 3 pairs. Might as well make the trip pay! It really wasn't worth the time to search thru the mess. This just in: Kohl's cash has actually surpassed Monopoly bucks for the first time in forever, yet is closely behind the US dollar. I'm fine with Kohl's having their hooks in me, because when i need to i save lots of money going here versus other retailers. Name brand? Variety? Quality? Check, check and check. My wife and me have been shopping for appliances lately more than clothes. I've noticed that most of their merchandise caters to all budgets and some items are far less expensive than in other stores. Not saying everything's less costly, but most of it is. I visit this particular Kohl's at least twice per month and I'm always pleased. The store manager is the kind of guy who offers his help when passing by; never too busy for customers. I even over-heard one of their "huddles" and he's a very driven and humble guy. Great combo for any store manager. No wonder this location is one of the best. Barbie, your name is so appropriate, because you are a DOLL. This woman was a cashier on 2/16/2012 and she deserves a promotion. You sweetly sold me on why I should sign up for a Kohl's credit card and saved me $15 on my purchases that day. You answered all my questions patiently and kindly and let me in on your own Kohl's shopping secrets. With all my discounts combined, I got 2 pairs of nice slacks for $35. I left my fairly expensive jacket in a dressing room, and the attendant set it aside because she recognized it wasn't a brand Kohl's sold and hoped the owner would return for it. Thank you! For younger females, Kohl's offers great brands from Lauren Conrad, Vera Wang and Elle for low prices and high style. You'll find great business casual pieces here. It seems that everything is always on sale, and Kohl's has electronic signs that clearly advertise the sale prices. I hate seeing 40% off signs and then being the girl pulling out my phone to figure out what's 40% off $30. Kohl's displays charts showing original price and then the sale price which saves me doing the math and makes for a much more pleasant shopping experience. At Christmas-time, a clerk at the jewelry counter helped me find the perfect gift and get it for an additional 30% off after telling me about their store card. I also got Kohls cash, which I love. Shopping here made me feel happy and I always get great deals. I started doing some online shopping because they had some things I wanted that the store didn't have. Never again. My first order went alright, but my second one was a disaster. They lost my package and told me it would take 3 weeks for them to track it and if they couldn't find it they would just credit my card. I just wanted my order, but they do not replace merchandise if it is lost or stolen. Sucks. I had to do a return on one of the items from my original online order, so I went to this location. They re-arranged the store to put the Customer Service area at the front of the store. Too bad I didn't discover this until I walked to the back of the store and couldn't find them, lol. Customer service was quick with no questions. I actually can't remember the clerk saying a word to me except to say "Next" when the person she was helping left. I would have appreciated a little more courtesy, but I was glad about the not questioned return. read more

Extremely organized I came in to buy a bathing suite for my wife and usually we have to hustle to find a size before the store closed but since the store was kept so well we had a suite selected within 5 min. read more

I am not a shoplifter! Love shopping at kohls bc it has a petites dept and an awesome shoe dept. I live behind kohls so I'm a frequent shopper at this location. So sometimes i go in with a big handbag. Today when i was leaving... the store manager... he was wearing pink shirt followed me outside acting like he was putting away shopping carts but plainly could see he was watching me. I am writing this review because it has been months since I have been back in a store and I just went today to drop off an Amazon package. I just want to give credit where it is due. Not only was I greeted by the employees there right when I entered the store, but it was also spotless. They had antibacterial get and wipes for you in the front and a young fellow directed me where the Amazon drop off was (which was in the back middle). It did not stop there. The employee at the Amazon drop off desk was so nice and so informative. She explained the bar code scanning and shipping process thoroughly. Awesome customer service all around. Thank you! I've worked at 3 different Kohls stores in Houston, and as a consumer the best customer service comes from this store. Just to let you know ALL Kohls stores are messy the only exceptions are: 1.Stores that just opened,...(give them a month) 2. When the store is expecting a corporate visit 3.They do an overnight blitz, which is RARE do to low budget 4. I have been to their store in Massachusetts and let me tell you that they have amazing discounts compared to this one. Also, I felt like the store was extremely disorganized, most of the price check machines were out of service and there wasn't even any sales associate that would be able to help us. Will be calling corporate & asking for the store manager. Went in to pick up some boots white lady at the customer service working 1/19 around 10:30pm has to be the rudest women I've ever met. My dad handed her his ID In her hand, and she throws it back at him on the counter. That's no way to treat a client and one that's been with kholes for years! Then we try the shoes we picked up on and they don't fit. Went and looked for another but their weren't any we liked so we were going to check another store. My mom this time asked the same women if she can exchange it and she told her no, she was to return it again rude acting as if we were an inconvenience. My mom asked her if she paid with kholes cash if she will be getting it back, she told her no. Kholes policy clearly states that if you pay with kholes cash you can receive it back. Just because she didn't want to do her job which she was hired to do doesn't mean she can lie and speak to us that way. I told my mom let's go I'm tired of her attitude I'll call back in the morning and we can go to another location. My mom had a pair of boots she was going to purchase for my sister. She asked the lady if the registers were closed because on the side we were on their was no one there. Looked at my mom and went back to the conversation she was having with her co worker. A couple seconds later the co worker noticed she wasn't speaking to us so told us yes these are closed but the registers on the other side of the store are open. I just can't believe how rude this women was and the fact that she works in the customer service department. It was a horrible experience for both my self seeing someone talk to my parents that way. As far as Kohls go, this is probably one of the best I've been to. Well laid out store with the fitting rooms convenient to reach from where ever you are. The fitting rooms are also all very nice/updated with lots of hanging space (something that seems to lack with a lot of department stores) Lots of selection! Per usual, Kohls has their 'sales', so there were a lot of good deals. (Never ever buy something at Kohls that's not on sale!). Forgot my 20% off coupon, mentioned it at the register and still managed to get 20% off. Also, currently doing the Kohl's cash thing (10$ kohls cash for every 50$ spent). So it was a great trip for shopping at a great location! read more

Customer Service deserves 0 stars. However, I could not post it unless I had chosen at least 1 star. Sales Associate made fun of a Customer. When question was given to her whether she was working there, she said "no", laughed and then mockingly said: "Don't you see my tag?" How rude and ignorant that was! It is disgrace for the Kohl's Management to keep such an Associate at the store. Moreover, she was on the side of another customer who was recording on her own phone customers at check out. I received a birthday $10 reward and this store did not honor it. The associate name Olga was so rude telling me that I had already used it when I had just received the reward the day before. When I asked for the manager, Peggy, she was just as rude. Telling me I had already used it so there was nothing She could do. I am a kohls card holder and am part of the rewards program. This was my last visit to Kohl's. While standing in line with only two registers open, one cashier closed down, leaving only one open. Of course the one open had to have a price check (sale item not showing up properly). Finally after waiting another ten minutes a second register opened. My purchase had the same items that had registered improperly as the other customer. I was through waiting and paid the regular price. Good bye Kohls. read more

Horribly understaffed store. Most of the merchandise was marked "Buy one, get 1/2 off"; however, you could not find a salesperson to tell you what the price was!! Sale items were placed far away from the normal items and inaccurately priced. Then, when I finally did get a sales person, she could barely speak English. Terrible customer service!!! I haven't seen such a bad attitude in any other store. They literally almost kick you out of the store at the closure time, by rolling their eyes and rushing you during the check out. Returning or want to exchange something? They made me feel guilty and repeated several times that their system will not let me exchange if I choose something different... Want to start off by saying I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star. It was the worst by far experience I have ever experienced. I came in with my mother in law and boyfriend and 1 year old daughter on a Friday night 1 hour before closing there were no buggies that didn't have sand bags in them which was to help carry my daughter. So I removed a sand bag and as I went off I heard a lady by the name Lynette she was bitching and yelling that she couldn't believe someone removed a sand bag and got a buggie. So I kindly said it was me in which she was so rude by saying well those sand bags were there for a reason! She and the other girls one with long blonde hair and dark long hair were all so rude and giving me dirty looks. Also my mother in law witch works at a kohls in Missouri went to the Khios to order something online and it wasn't showing up so she went to the counter were the lady with long blonde hair was and she said that they didn't order things online and couldn't ship them to the store for us. She was also so rude and we felt as if she didn't even want to help us. We also didn't receive the discount we were supposed to get and in most Kohl's in the past would go out of their way to find the best deals and discounts. I will tell everyone not to ever step foot in this kohls again. You would think they would hire people that are some what decent with customer service! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE... read more
