This is a late review, as, this pertains to my experience with Al's for my wedding weekend which was in late October 2020. Now that the steam coming from my ears have worn off, and I've had a bit of time to adjust to married life and calm down a bit, it's safe to say, I can write a constructive review. So, for this store, the experience was pleasant, but I wouldn't say that it was great. I interacted most with Quentin (Assistant Store Mgr., I believe), and the store manager (Priscilla). My initial wedding date was April 2020, but had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Much of the communication then became me taking the initiative to call them and follow up with them regarding the suit rentals for the groomsmen, and any changes/updates due to COVID-19. I hadn't heard from the store in months, and only when I started to get the ball rolling were communications happening back and forth. We ended up having to postpone our wedding to October 2020. We ordered the Fantasy-Midnight Blue Tux (slim fit), but opted out of the vest and the bow tie, as I didn't prefer the vest and had ordered a specific bowtie from a different store. I acknowledge that we ordered the slim fit, however, we really tried our best to work with the groomsmen (as they all lived out of state) to go and get fitted asap, and despite having to switch up the groomsmen party at the last minute, due to COVID, we/I made sure to provide all the measurements asap. With that being said, Quentin, Priscilla, and any store associates, should have informed us that the suits tend to run small(er), and despite the measurements being provided, maybe we should size up a bit. I say this, because once we picked up the suits, none of the suits fit any of our groomsmen, they all ran too small. I think poor training and lack of knowledge definitely played a roll here. As a result, once we arrived to Austin, TX to the Lakeline Mall location, we encountered the biggest nightmare. PIcked up the suits, none of them fit, and then they ended up having to overnight us suits and pants the MORNING OF the wedding straight to our venue. Come to find out, after the wedding was over, they had overnighted us black pants instead of Midnight Blue. Of course, all of this will be appear in my wedding photos, and of course it's too late. I just wanted to reiterate that the process to order/receive suit rentals needs to change. Way too close, with little flexibility, and ultimately created a disaster for our big day. I honestly would NOT recommend using Al's Formal wear for wedding(s). Maybe prom, or if your renting just for yourself, it might be acceptable, but not for a large party such as a wedding.

After they misplaced our appointment booking and then canceled our fitting the day of, I started calling around to see who could get my entire party in and fitted in such a short time. The consultant, Prescilla, was amazing. She told me what she needed from us, gave us clear dates to avoid additional costs, provided a clear cost, and made sure we had a number for all the other groomsmen so they can easily get measured and place their orders. She provided the best customer service and I am excited that we have one more piece of the wedding done!

As I've said before, Barbie and I both agree that high heels are incomparably sexy (as opposed to sketchy) especially by Pleaser. Flip flops on the other hand just don't get it done on the superficial level, and if you're European you might understand that sentiment because we eschew flip flops o'er yonder. Are we always wants to work glamorous so if she's going to wear flip-flops it has to be something sparkly and perfect. There's only one brand that really makes that kind of thing and that brand is Skechers.  This is an excellent Skechers outlet with somewhat cheaper prices than all the other Skechers stores, but there are some Skechers stores which have a better selection and sometimes they can even match the prices. The one on Westheimer is best of all, for sure. They were really friendly in here and didn't mind calling around places for us. So we really like the store but there is a better Skechers in town. We like them more. We'll definitely back here to check for more sexy flip flops for Barbie whenever we're up here in Cypress. Barbie says: "Skechers Outlet is awesome. Super helpful. Very nice employees. They called around and helped me find my shoes." Anyway, if you slip me $10 I'll do a crappy sketch of you, but if you slip Skechers $25, you can have the sexiest flip flops imaginable! And for the record: I like painters, I like graffiti artists, but I especially like Skechers.

When it's time to buy tiny gifts, this store is one of my first stops. Keedo offers a selection of cute and cute/practical baby and kids clothing. I've found great bibs and well-appointed onesies here (hey, I'm a practical gal), but when the kids are of walking age I might be back. Keedo's a national chain, but it has more of a boutique feel. Prices are usually reasonable, and the quality seems pretty good. They claim to offer "100% cotton clothing that won't shrink or fade when tumble dried"...I haven't heard any laundry reports from recipients yet, but maybe I'll go phone around.

We had an issue with the Penney's card and Vicki helped troubleshoot with us. There was also a Puerto Rican sales rep and she was really nice as well. Spoke both Spanish and English and really good interpersonal skills. They had a great sale going on and both myself and a family member bought beautiful jewelry. One of the representatives was not as nice. She told me a gold bracelet was expensive and kept trying to push me to the gold plated jewelry. I didn't like that. I felt dismissed and profiled. She was blond with an accent.

Of course this is not that, and of course they don't sell those kinds of boots here (but they should). What they do sell are perhaps the largest array of Texas and Cowboy Style and Cowgirl too, boots, that you'll find anywhere in Greater Houston, probably anywhere in Texas. If prices or service matched the amazing selection, they might get that 5th star, but neither prices nor service are bad enough to go below 4, they're just a bit hit or miss. I do think it's a quintessentially Texas experience, and as you can see from the photo, Barbi absolutely loves it here.

I have been…read moreshopping here for years and honestly cannot find what's wrong with any of the running shoes that I have bought. They all seemed fine to me. Savings are anywhere from 25-50% off of retail. I usually visit here a couple of times per year and always receive friendly and helpful customer service. My only regret is that up until about 3 years ago, they were in a much larger store space that allowed them to display much more inventory.
