We needed to buy our son his first suit. We went into this store and we were immediately greeted by a friendly and professional gentleman named Scott Kendall. He quickly found the perfect suit for our son then got 3 beautiful dress shirts that went wonderfully with the suit, then matched 2 outstanding ties. A topcoat, pair of dress shoes and a belt later, and our son was set to go! Scott really knew his stuff. Our son was beaming from the experience. If you ever get the chance to shop at this store, do yourself a favor and ask for Scott to help you. He was amazing. We were out of the store in about 30 minutes on CHRISTMAS EVE!!! Do not waste your time here! Between coming in to the store, picking out a suit, talking to the customer service, and tracking my order for 2+ months, I wasted around 3 hours of my time and came out empty handed. I came into this store and picked out a suit. They didn't have my suit, so they ordered it and said they would call me within 14 business days. One month later, I still hadn't gotten a call so called them back. They couldn't find my order at first but tracked it down after a long conversation with customer service. What did they track down? That the suit order had been lost. So they redid my order and promised the same thing. 14 business days - expect a call back. 1 month later, it was the same routine. I called back, they couldn't find the order, they finally tracked it down, and the order was lost. I took my business elsewhere after that. Frankly, I don't know how this place stays in business. read more

I went in to purchase a gift and the moment I stepped in the store, the associates were very welcoming and helpful. I was looking for a nice red color tie and the sales associate, Cynthia was showing me around since it was my first time at Jos. A. Bank. She showed me different selections of ties and even the sale and clearance. I had to take pictures to ask my boyfriend's opinion and she was very patient. It was an easy and very pleasant shopping experience. I did mention to her that my boyfriend will be needing new work dress pants and she took her time to show me the catalog and the many options I can choose from. She even quoted me the prices and I was actually very surprised that they were very decent in price!! I'm definitely bringing my boyfriend here to get him fitted! I went there because of the TV ads about buy one suite get 2 free and 3 free dress shirts. I called ahead to confirm that this store was in fact honoring this particular sale. the person answering the phone wasn't really sure he told me. (strange ) So he went and found someone that could answer my question. He confirmed that they was in fact taking part in the sale. (when we got there signs were everywhere so I'm not sure why the first guy didn't know for sure if the sale was going on or not??) So me and my husband came into the store and there was only one sales man there, and he was with a customer. so we began looking around. After a long time, We were never greeted, my husband had to go to the man and request help. The sales man seened annoied with this, he didnt seem to want to help us. When my husband asked about a suit the man threw in the price in his answer?!? WHY we didn't ask about price!? did he think we couldn't afford it!? after he saw we did intend to spend several HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS in his store he became more helpful, but then he was rushing us. Yes the store was closing soon but it seemed kinda rude to me to keep asking "so whats it gonna be?' Any way I think he was raciest since my husband is black... the man was rude! But the prices were good, ill go to another store next time...not this one!! read more

This place has horrible service. One guy was a snob. But its not just this location. We dealt with another location and they were Snobbs too. I walked in and the clerk was on the phone he looked at me and turned around another man walked in after me he turned around and saw him asked him if he needed any help and then said if he does need help just let him know and he'll be more than happy to service you. looked at me again rolled his eyes and turn back around. I then stated I could use some of your help he asked me to hold on for his phone call and then pursue to get somebody else to help me because I guess he just did not want to help me but the other man asked him for a pair of shoes he hung up the phone immediately and want to help this guy I think this is just most of their locations and them employing very snobby people it is honestly just horrible read more

I can't believe what a joke this place is. I see how they manage to stay in business pitching buy one get two suits free garbage. People will catch on sooner or later, especially from what I've heard from people I've recently talked to about shopping here. One of my friends got married this weekend and I had to rent a tux because I was a groomsmen, so here we go. The tux rental was an absurd $212, which, I can get a completely new suit for at various, more reliable retailers. You have to wait two days before your event to come pick up your rental which is quite ridiculous if you need to leave town or something is wrong with the suit. Everyone in our party (7 total) had mistakes with the rentals which is absolutely ridiculous and unforgivable for the steep price this place charges. The GROOM had several articles of his tux the wrong size, one guy had pants FOUR sizes too big, I myself did not receive shoes and I even asked the guy if I should have shoes. He walked over to the computer and looked at it and told me no, which I know he didn't read because everyone else got their shoes. They don't just say "Oh John and everybody else gets shoes and Ted doesn't." On top of this, there were threads and frays all over my suit. Then when we all got down to the location, we figured out that ALL of our bowties were the same color which was not what was ordered. If you've been in a wedding, you'll know that the groom and bride should stand out so the groomsmen were supposed to have mint green bowties while the groom had champagne. I will never recommend this place for any kind of service and they have lost me, as well as my entire party as customers. read more

And that he was the "best" 2 weeks later my clothes comes to me and i guess they must have got the clothes fitted for jabba the hut cause EVERYTHING was huge!! Made no sense.. So I went back showed them the clothes and the lady said "that's right! Ur a 17 1/2 neck"... I almost slapped the stupid grin off her face.. Cannot say enough good about Carissa at this location. Was following up on problems with my sons wedding party tuxs when as luck would have it I called the wrong location. His problems, and boy they were plenty was with the Cinco Ranch location. NEVER GO THERE, Arthur is horrible. Back to the positive...Carissa was able to get the alterations made for my sons tux (he purchased at Jos Bank prior) and handle getting the rentals, 11 in all, for his wedding. Hmm, where to begin... I'm trying to get a tuxedo fitted for a wedding. This one lady here has been trying to help me and the manager... Is not helping her at all. Literally having words with her. She keeps asking for his help and he stays for about 5 seconds and walks away. Been here for like an hour. To say that this is an embarrassment is an understatement. This customer service is worse than Walmart. It might be on par with calling Dell customer service. I will not ever shop here again. Especially for my wedding. read more

There is a manager there that does not like to work. He huffs and puffs everytime u ask for help and makes u feel uncomfortable to even ask a question. All their sales are a rip off, when they order a suit for u they make sure it dosent fit u so they can charge u fee to "custom fit" you. This fee is almost 50% the cost of the suit. So if u buy a suit for $200 you end up spending 300. My waist is a size 34 they ordered my size 42 pants and charged me $50 cutting fee. Do u know what happens when u make size 42 waist into 34......... U look like MC Hammer! This goes to all jos a banks...... Don't try to decieve your costomers, cuz u will never get them back. read more

My husband is in a wedding that required us to buy a tuxedo at a good price. Great. The groom ordered the tuxes in a group and when we received the tux, the pants had been ordered a size too small (which actually fit as though they were 2 sizes too small). My husband had bought another suit at the correct size within the past year, so it wasn't like the size was off between his measurement and the suit being ordered. The store manager at the Town & Country store and the sales person he assigned us to were not very helpful. When it became apparent that they didn't have the right pants in-store, the salesman looked at me and said, "What do you want to do?" ...hey dude. You're in customer service, not me. I shouldn't be telling you what to do. So after a few (I kid you not) DEEP SIGHS OF EXASPERATION, he decides to call around to 3 other nearby stores. Two stores said they were "too busy to help" and the other one checked and did not have the pants in stock. Another customer came in and the salesguy just...stopped. helping. us. to work with this new customer. I was getting frustrated at this point, and the manager came over to finish up our transaction. He also asked "What do you want to do?" and I had no answer, because I felt like our first choice (call other local stores to find a local match to avoid re-ordering and possibly more mess-ups) was still in progress but I guess not. So he says This puts us at getting husband's suit approx. 3 days from when we have to leave for an out-of-country wedding. I hope they don't mess this up - I will revise my review and/or add additional comments once we are done working with them. Bottom line: very poor service, and with their name I was expecting people who actually had customer service skills. read more

A few months ago I purchased a pair of black Johnston Murphy 10&1/2 from the highland village Jos. A. Bank and wrapped them as a Christmas surprise for my father. After trying them on Christmas morning he decided they were slightly large (heel slip) and wanted a smaller pair. Because our business is in West Houston we went on our lunch break to the City Center location to exchange them. The gentlemen that helped was very standoffish from the beginning and was treating us like he had better things to do. He opened the box and took the shoes out we were returning and immediately accused us of wearing the shoes because of a little glitter on the sole from the other presents Christmas morning, essentially calling us liars. After refuting his accusation he went to the back to retrieve a size 10, but because he was helping other customers he didn't return for 7 or 8 minutes leaving us both feeling forgotten about. The entire experience made us feel as if the employee was working against, not for us. And I would not recommend ever doing business at this location. read more

Took my suits to get tailored for an upcoming business trip, the only reason they are getting 2 stars and not 1 is because the salesman and tailor who originally helped me were very helpful and listened. I went to pick up the suits and tried them on, there were obvious shoulder divots on both sides. Being kind of picky I asked the manager what he thought and his reply was, "that's normal or else it would look like a woman's suit." This is the MANAGER. I brought it up again after changing and showed my original salesman and he agreed saying it wasn't right, the manager just scoffed and walked away to help someone else. read more

We like the quality of Jos A Banks, but lately have not had luck in finding the pants and jackets my husband likes. He has very specific tastes and knows what he likes when he sees it. On a whim, we decided to make a quick stop before going to a movie to see if we could find anything on my husband's wish list. Scott greeted us and right away found a pair of pants my husband liked, and then another pair and even a third pair of pants! Suffice it to say Scott was able to find pants, jackets, shoes and a belt that checked all the boxes with what we needed, but also understood what we liked and did so quickly and with good humor, plus we got everything on sale. This is location is still open. However, after shopping at Jos A Bank for years we're not going back. The service and selection has gone down hill since Men's Wearhouse bought them. Returned some shirts today and the salesman was rude, treating my wife and I as if we were a bother even tho there was only 1 other couple in the store. They will not provide a shirt to try on because I wasn't going to buy a shirt that day. They reluctantly gave an open shirt that was too large for me.I cannot believe they treat customers like that.
