Best off the rack clothing store in Houston for me. As someone larger around the middle and shorter than many men (5'6"), stores that carry what I need which fit me especially when it comes to suits and sports coats is limited elsewhere in town. This is a Men's clothing store for big and tall guys which is not inexpensive and not overpriced at the same time. Saleswoman Judy has been extremely very helpful to me during my visits to Destination XL. My attempts at building a decent wardrobe were failing spectacularly until the day I walked into Destination XL and met her. Judy goes above and beyond as a salesperson by not wanting me to leave until she is positive I am happy and have what I need. This is a really good store. Try DXL out and you may be pleasantly surprised at what you find from suits to smart casual clothing, ties, shoes, belts and undergarments. I only wish that I were able to spend more each month inside this Destination XL. Please remember to ask for Judy.

Chevis was very knowledgeable of DXL sizing and differences in brand sizing.

horrible customer service. i purchased via their website. the item was 50%. during the check out…read moreprocess, a pop up for a welcome 10% off came up, which i added. that made the item final sale, which was NOT stated anywhere in the purchase process. the only way i could have seen that is if i went back and clicked the drop down cart details tab. customer service continues to double down, sending me screenshots of the RECEIPT which does clearly state the item i purchased (past tense...) was final sale. i have opened claims with BBB and Chase. buyer beware! plenty of better shops to spend your money at.

Of all the towns in Texas, The Webster came to Houston. I get why, Austin likes its moneyed to be…read moremore low-key and Dallas isn't...ready. The vibe: If I was going to do a Teenage Millionaire starter pack meme (not the brand, the aesthetic), I would just grab a shot of this store (which I had to steal bc I didn't take one, but the building is really pretty and worth seeing). The experience: A lovely, polite female security guard let me in and I was greeted by one of the employees who offered me water, sparkling or flat. I think everyone working there was under 30. The staff was attentive and super helpful, and in no way pushy or pretentious. As far as patrons, it was just me and a fam from Italy with their kids ranging from 12ish to 16 maybe. Everyone was soooo quiet in a respectful way. Apropos, as a designer shoppe like this is my version of church. The stuff: It seemed inventory is limited to what influencers are wearing literally right now, but nothing too runway/over the top which was great. Mostly designer athleisure. It was nice to see the Balenciaga distressed hoodie in person, some Vetements tops, a J'Adore 8 sweater, that kinda stuff. First time seeing the Givenchy Antigona Lock-in-a-Box bag and it was understated, stunning, and edgy all at once (swoon). I was surprised to see actual price tags, because if you have to ask... They didn't have the slides I was seeking, so I tried on a t-shirt but wasn't feeling it. Because the store isn't connected to the Galleria, it was a nice respite from the crowds.
