The young man helping me contacted Mr. Festari, who assured me the suit could be completed in time. Their material selection was excellent, with an initial measurement process that was quick and painless. True to their word, my suit arrived a few days before the wedding. I arrived for my scheduled fitting and was back out the door within a few minutes. The next day, the final alterations had been completed, and I returned for my suit. It fit perfectly. I came in for a navy blue suit for interview. They have both suits from the rack and tailor-made from scratch. I chose one from the rack which was then altered according to my personal measure. It was the best suit I ever had. A week later I brought in the other suit I have - a medium gray one previously bought from, well, somewhere else, and got it altered too. It worked like magic - before, the jacket was a squarish bag hanging from my shoulders and now it drapes and flatters the body shape wonderfully. I hate writing bad reviews, but I really have to here. I came into Festari for a custom shirt back in October 2016. Initially, I had a very good experience with with his staff, JR, and Rudy Festari himself. His store front looks great and the initial service I got was good, but that's where the great experience ends. I got measured and was told that the shirts were made in Houston and that the turn around time was very fast. I remember asking JR what company in Houston made the shirts, and he mumbles something like "Bond". Hmm, like James Bond. A couple of weeks later, I called inquiring about the shirt, only to find out that the shirts come from Hong Kong and would take about a month for me to receive it. Wow, really? I was under the impression that I was getting a shirt made locally. When I received the "custom" shirt, it was anything but custom made. The shirt cuffs and sleeves were about 2 inches too large and the body could have fitted someone twice my size. I came in and questioned the fact that the shirt was made in Hong Kong and not Houston and the response that I received was that they can get me the shirts made in Houston, but it's a more expensive option. That is definitely not what they told me. Moving on, Rudy Festari apologized for the poorly fitting shirt and promised to order me another one with new measurements and allowed me to keep the other shirt. I waited another month and a half and received the second shirt in the middle of December. Let me remind you, I ordered this in October. So, with the second shirt, a button hole is stitched horizontally instead of vertically. Sure, there are bespoke shirts out there with horizontally placed button holes, but they are always the very bottom button or the collar button. This button happens to be in the middle, right across my stomach. It is an obviously misplaced horizontal button hole. After waiting almost three months to get a 165$ shirt and a couple of visits to his store, I'm not looking to go through this circus again. I asked Rudy Festari for a refund. He proceeds to tell me that sadly he can't please all of his customers no matter what he tries to do, but he'll refund me my money and I can keep the shirts. 3 weeks later, no refund. I give Rudy a call and he again says he will refund me. Again, no refund. He also proceeds to tell me that the horizontal button hole is not a defect, and it is an intentional detail from the manufacturer. If this was true, why didn't the first shirt I receive have a horizontal button hole. Maybe that shirt was defective too. Hong Kong quality at Italian pricing. In conclusion, if you want to get lied to, and pay for an overpriced and poorly fitting shirt from Hong Kong, this is your place. Oh, I finally got the refund after a third reminder. read more

I found Festari's through another Yelp review, and decided to go there based on what it said. I have been absolutely impressed with the service, quality, and prices. I was looking for a store where I could get top quality tailored suits for a decent price. I was looking beyond Joseph A Banks and Macy's, but was not that impressed with Nordstrom's. Rudy was very helpful in picking out for me the proper cut and style jacket and pants. He then helped me with selecting other fabrics. I went in for a fitting when they arrived, and a week later my suits were ready for pickup. Rudy even called me while I was on vacation to let me know there was a slight delay, and would that cause me any problems. I was able to get one of the suits a bit early to make an important client meeting. I needed a nice shirt and a belt, but wasn't crazy about the fit. Rudy shortened the belt in a matter of minutes, and had the shirt tailored for me at no additional charge. I highly recommend Festari's, and have been telling my friend's about it. read more

I had been looking for a custom tailor for many years. I was tired of wearing suits from the department stores which would not fit correctly. While searching for a place to buy custom clothes I came across Festari and decided to give it a shot. I was very impressed with the way the store was laid out and also the collection they carried. Mr. Rudy Festari was extremely welcoming and cordial. Rudy and his staff helped me with the selection. Rudy was very patient, guided me through several fabrics and help me select the right one. It was my first custom suit and the collection was Coppley. I also had a custom white shirt stitched. This was the best I had ever felt while dressed in a suit. The shirt and the suit fit me perfectly. I was very happy that I had found the best custom tailor in all of Houston. Because I was so impressed I went back to Rudy at his new location and had custom trousers and shirts done. As usual Rudy never disappoints, and I had the perfect trousers and shirts. I also bought casual linen shirts from Festari, whom I believe has the best shirts collection. I also took my son to Festari. So I go in Festari this week to get a few tailored suits. I walk in straight from the gym with gym clothes on. I walk in with my book bag as I keep my ID and cash and credit cards in it. I walk in the guys look at me kind of strange like what is this guy doing in here. So I tell him I want to check out some suits shirts and other things. He brings out a few things and tells me I can't take my bag in the dressing room(Like I am going to try to steal something). I almost get mad but I shrug it off cause I know I am very well off. So I try it on and come out to pay. He asked how I heard about the store and I tell him I live right behind the store. He looks me dead in the eye and ask me if I live with a few people implying that I must be splitting rent with someone as this place is to expensive for me to live alone. Listen why do young African American guys have to dress nice to go shopping in nice stores but my white friends can go in shopping in sandals and cut offs. Like man I got a Roll royce and more than he can imagine but the assumption is that a young black man Intends to defraud stores soon as they walk in. Once he seen I had money he followed me to the car gave me a card and kissed my butt. I just wanted to share this with you guys. I been buying $1k suits. Given my appearance, I wasn't sure if I'd be taken serious in an upscale store like this; however Mr. Festari and his staff treated me as if I were a corporate executive. I must have tried on 10 suits (while my two year old was attempting to ransack the store), and they worked hard to make sure I found some perfectly fitting suits. I purchased my first made to measure suit from Festari last fall and have been disappointed with it from the day i made my order. I didn't think much of it until i purchased several more suits from other fine stores which is why i am posting my response 6 months after my transaction. I went to Festari to purchase a made to measure suit for a wedding. Rudy wasn't in so one of his associates helped me. I asked a few questions, one of which was "is this a fully canvased garment?" The answer was a "yes of course". We went through and got me measured and the sales person picked out an amazing window pane pattern, really pretty, I ordered the suit, bought a pair of cufflinks, a tie and was on my way. When i got home i did some more research on the factory that would be making the suit, Coppley out of Canada, only to find out that Coppley doesn't even make full canvased garments. For the cost of the suit, i felt like i was deceived, and i should have cancelled my order. I called to complain that evening that i had felt i had been misled and was pretty sure i just wanted my money back. Mr. Festari assured me that it was a 3/4 canvased garment and that he was sure i would be happy with my suit. The suit came in very fast, which i was happy with. But when it came in, it was extremely tight, even though i had lost nearly 5 pounds since i got measured. After 3 tries with the in store tailor i politely walked away with my suite and was just going to deal with the suit myself with my tailor. The suit was made in such a slim cut i really didn't have many options with my tailor. The pants were so tight in my thighs we had to have the pants let out with as much fabric as was left. The sleeves were so narrow that i literally have to work a french cuffed shirt through the sleeves to get my hand out of the bottom of the sleeve. I am afraid any work at the gym, and i won't be able to wear a nearly $1500 suit. Every time i put it on i wonder how much longer i am going to be able to wear it and am frustrated at how tight it is especially since i have bought a half dozen made to measure suits in the past 6 months from other stores that fit like a glove. When i complained for the last time, expecting the suit to get remade, the stores response was that they will make me another suit at half price. I didn't have any faith in the factory, so i passed and took my full priced business elsewhere. With Festari's reputation (which i know is stellar) i was surprised at their response to my dissatisfaction. I don't hold a grudge, i just will take my business elsewhere and will not recommend them to friends. The only reason i gave them two stars instead of one was that i know Rudy knows what he is doing, and his store is beautiful, i was just terribly measured and suggested the wrong cut. Rudy even said if he had measured me he wouldn't have suggested the cut that i bought. For $1500 and a "made to measure" suit, i really expected a lot more and have since taken my business and my recommendation to his competitors. read more
