Overall I was extremely disappointed (especially with shops like Aritzia setting such a high bar for quality and service in the mall). Express used to be my go-to for work/office attire and I've only ever shopped at this Express location - so I was surprised to find how much it's changed. Service: The service was absolutely *horrible*. There was no one offering any assistance or even greeting you. In fact, most of the staff was standing together just chatting and ignoring customers. I happened to be looking for something specific that another customer was as well, and I watched as she went to ask for helping finding it. The staff barely acknowledged her and the one person who broke away to help didn't even know where the item would be ! Quality: I'm surprised at how much the quality has dipped at Express. I've had the same pair of slacks for years that has held up well, never frayed, and was a thick solid fabric. I came here specifically to purchase another pair. While they still have the exact same pant, the fabric is lightweight and alr3ady coming apart at the seams in store. They also did not have much size selection which I was surprised to find. Price: Their prices are about the same as what they were in the past but with the decline in quality not quite worth it. Unfortunately there are better places to shop to get better quality and service at the same price. I was a long time customer of Express but I doubt I'll be shopping there again

Didn't get his name but he has a mole or some birthmark on the left side of his upper lip. I came in to return a bag and they told me I couldn't return it because there was a "mark" inside the bag. Asked them to show me and the sales rep was pointing at what appears to be lint or some fiber from the lining of the bag. But his manager was standing there with a constipated facial expression refusing to give me eye contact or acknowledge me. Will make any excuse to not give you back your money.

I am skeptical of the foot scan as my friend who is a former employee calls it "all smoke and mirrors." They don't usually have sales on their running shoes, as they only offer a limited selection of the latest, most expensive models. They have a treadmill in store. This location has a small parking lot that is very awkward to turn into and out of on the busy street. I think it's really nice the employees don't make commission, so there isn't pressure to buy shoes on the spot. I tried on seven pairs of shoes and didn't find any of them to be very comfortable. For a store that emphasizes trying on a variety of running shoes, their return policy is not conducive to that. They allow returns within 30 days, but the shoes must be unworn. You don't know if a running shoe feels good until you actually run in them.

I've purchased many Birks before, but they were all sandals. I knew what size I was, and this time I wanted an actual shoe (or, rather, a mule). All of the ones that are available locally are suede, which is not what I really wanted to invest a chunk of money in. Looked online to see what my other options were and found exactly what I wanted! But that meant I needed to go to the actual Birkenstock store. Located in the Rice Village shopping area, parking is interesting. Go into the garage (level 2 or 3) across the street for free 2-hour parking. Otherwise, it's pay by plate or metered parking anywhere at street level. Easily located and nicely kept, there was a huge selection at this store. It was not busy at all on a Monday around noon, so there were multiple sales associates to assist you. They do not swoop in and "get in your face" like some shoe stores. If you want something, you ask for it. They check to make sure they do have it in stock and then out it comes. Tried on what I came for, walked around a bit in them (since they are sort of stiff initially) and took the plunge. Everything is done via email and a hand-held device (sort of like a restaurant). Super easy to check out with your new Birks packaged in their box and placed in a large, sturdy shopping bag. Now, I know that Birkenstocks are not cheap. BUT. If you have a wide foot (as I do) and you want a shoe that will last literally for years, then they are so worth it. I only wish there was a store a little closer to home since it's at least a 45 minute drive from my home.

I just walked out of the store as an older employee (male, heavy set, around 60 Y/O) was very rude…read more I walked in with my 2 kids, they were walking a few feet behind looking at shoes not even touching them. The man walk up to them from behind and with a very demeaning voice asked if they lost someone or if they were with someone. When I turned around and asked if there was a problem he changed his demeanor and tone of voice and tried to be helpful but I just cut him off and told him I didn't need any help. After thinking about it for a few seconds my blood just started boiling and walked out before I caused a scene. Even if they were by themselves, which my son goes to this mall quite often with his girlfriend they should be able to walk freely without anyone harassing them.

I snagged some 70's style jeans that were originally $79.95 Marked down to $20 I paid $13. And a cute pair of green color downtown Khaki shorts that were originally $39. For $8 bucks. Service was very good as well. The manager and his team member looked up the two items different sizes online offers However I managed to located my size in the jeans in store. As for the green shorts I wish they had one size up, since the feedback was they ran on the smaller side. But it was the only pair in store, and online was only marked down 15-20% off retail rate (about $29). So I settle for the $8 pair. Still a score!!!!
