Employees need a training on customer service. Three times today employees were with carts and expected the customer to move their cart so they could get through. Not once did I hear "excuse me." Two of the three were young adults and the other one was old enough to know better. I wonder why I always take my business back to Target. read more

If I had to say that I have a go to Walmart, this would be the location. It's a 24 hour store, it is relatively devoid of creepers in the parking lot and copious amounts of road trash, and yet it still is the greatest show on earth, particularly after 11 PM. When I first started dating the woman who would become my wife, we had dinner at some swanky place in Pasadena. After three hours of lackluster service from a server who obviously had done three or four lines before going on shift, we decided to drive to the Glendora Walmart for a little people watching. Did I mention this was Valentine's Day, that I further mentioning that the fact she wanted to go to Walmart for people watching on Valentine's Day - our first Valentine's Day - was one of the critical reasons I gave myself for deciding this is the woman I was going to rest my life with? Anyway, if you have never been to a 24 hour Walmart on Valentine's Day, well you're letting the very best of life pass you by. Seeing people dressed to the nines wondering around Walmart in suits, cocktail dresses, full make up, and after obvious trip to hair and nail parlors, is one of the happiest experiences of my life. We relished in watching jilted women, who had obviously been stood up, and were now sobbing furiously, being consoled by their friends wandering through the vitamin aisle. Trust me, you've never seen make up run like a face full at Walmart at midnight. Other than that happy tradition, which we have enjoyed each year since we've been together, we frequent this Walmart for things like diapers, cut foods, and the occasional bag of fishing hooks or school supplies. It sure ain't glamorous, but it gets the job done. Currently, this location is under construction so the parking lot and store are pretty tore up from the floor up. Even still, there's always the good deal on everything to think about. And unlike other Walmart locations within 15 miles of this location, you have a less than average chance of getting brutally stabbed in the parking lot by an angry drifter using a stolen car antenna as a weapon. read more

Pickup associate gave us a 24 pack of soda that was open and missing one soda. He didnt notify us that it was open and missing a soda or else I would've told him I didnt want it. I didnt bother to check the groceries until I got home. I tried calling the pick up number but no one answered. The messages were full so you couldn't even leave a message. I had to call corporate and they refunded the soda and apologized. read more

DISCLAIMER: The five stars is ONLY for the drive up. I personally despise going to Walmart because...well there are tons of weirdos in there. I have been in this store twice and vowed never to go back in. They have amazing low prices and no one can deny that. Their customers are just...not right. Anyway I have used the drive up a few times even at the height of COVID. It was a disaster as pandemonium had set in and there was no parking, a giant conga line of cars and just overall madness. I think the masses have relaxed some and aren't buying up the whole store. NOW I have no issues finding a spot for pick up, the associates are pretty efficient and it's quick and easy for the most part. I must point out that they do a good job of selecting your produce! Target could learn a thing or two. My produce is picked well and carefully handled prior to making its arrival to my trunk. Target is a mess. Have the nerve to bring me some super bruised bananas we couldn't even eat and some smashed up peaches! Walmart it is for the produce! I was there today and kudos to the associates who are hauling all my sh*t to my car in 100+ degree weather with masks over their faces. read more

Ok, Walmarts in California just amaze me. There is one in Lake Havasu City, Az that is just awesome. Then I come to Walmarts in California expecting the same shopping experience and am always so disappointed. This Walmart is in need of some TLC. The store looks old and worn and the staff reflects the store. The merchandies is well stocked but the store is just kind of messy, bordering on dirty. Why is that? The parking lot is huge, so parking is never a problem. But acccess is only through one driveway so it can be kind of a pain to get in and out. read more

I dont care what my friends say, I shop at Walmart. Everyday lower prices on a wide variety of merchandise and food. Im so tired of the games at the other supermarkets - where prices vary weekly like a commodities market - must have a coupon, must buy 5 of this, do you play monopoly?, long lines. It takes you longer to check out at Albertson's Glendora than to shop! Walmart is a little more of a hassle, but it's worth the savings. read more

The new configuration and products is terrible. Along with the new self checkouts. They put in a bunch of registers but 3/4 were off or broken. asto items, example looking for English muffins - they aren't in the bread isle or be eggs (just one type), but on an end cap by frozen foods? Looked for hot chocolate mixes - they only had the large containers on the self and the small individual boxes on the fry top shelf stacked vertically so you can't see the type. Walmart is a mile from my house but I'm gong to drive the three miles to a larger grocery store for items. read more

No casualties Inform employee inside of fight and he responds with "they don't pay me enough to stop a fight" I respect the honesty (same) Ended up buying a bunch of stuff I didn't need due to low prices. I guess I did need a stapler. $147 later and not a jacker in sight. My truck was still there. I used to like this place always shopped here for mostly everything automotive , vacuums parts, certain clothing, toys and video games for my self , and others, even groceries last several years going back at least 20 plus years. One reason why I stopped shopping at their Wal-Mart Eastland in Covina area was they profiled me several times following me to register area same loss prevention type of bottom feeders who are mostly profilers. I work in retail for over 30 years same company I know how stores run. Now it seems i will no longer bother shopping here ever again or any Wal-Mart ever same treatment here , and besides being followed many times and watched, in the past when they did receipt checks they would always let the older White people just walk by , but when it came to mine let see receipt and sometimes inside their bag that I just purchased with items. Do yourself a favor just shop at Target, Costco, and Home depot I never had any issue at those stores ever!!! read more

Don't use this Glendora Walmart for delivery. Monday afternoon placed an order for delivery to arrive that same night between 9pm-10pm. 9:40pm I received a message informing me of delay up to a 2 hour delay. Finally at 11:40pm I CANCELLED the delivery. Fast forward 10am Tuesday I reorder my order from last night and add a few items. Delivery scheduled for 3pm-4pm. Received notice that delivery was a it's way. I sat at my kitchen table waiting to meet the driver then all of a sudden I received a message that my order has been delivered (no driver pulled up to my house). I ran out and notice a car pulling away for a house that is across the street and 4 doors down!! What the heck!! Not even close to the same address (numbers). 2 strikes. I will NEVER order from Glendora again. I've ordered from Covina and even Baldwin Park Walmart and haven't had any issues. Incompetent Glendora driver!! read more

I come to this Walmart weekly it's usually a more pleasant experience than other Walmarts in the area. Unfortunately today was not a pleasant experience the cashier MARYANNE working today on register 3 was extremely rude throwing items into the bags. Its was as if she is racist I watched while there was three different transactions in front of mine for Latin people she threw their items into the bag rudely and was very unfriendly, while for a white lady she placed them in and smiled and made conversation. Then was rude again to the next Latin transaction. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. I asked for a lead or supervisor and was not assisted to make a complaint I waited for 20 mins. read more

Okay! Every time I go this Walmart I have to see that same old cranky Rodney in the garden section. A checker accidentally rang me up for one bag of ice and I had 2. So when I went out through the garden section to my car, ole cranky was there to check my receipt. Made me feel like I was a thief and went on and on how the receipt said 1 and I had 2 bags. I finally was able to snatch it out of his old ass hand and said I'll just go pay for the the other ice. I usually have the best experience with Walmart Grocery Pickup. They are quick to get my groceries, friendly, & it's convenient. But, last week when I went, I'm sad because the milk that I received expired just a few days after I purchased it. My son had already drank some, so I couldn't exchange it or anything. I really wanted cereal, but the milk already expired. I went again yesterday 4/6/2020 (after Covid-19) & it was very different. I was used to being the only one or just a few waiting, but now it's madness. Not even enough parking spaces. Some employees had masks, some didn't. They tried to talk through the window, signed for me, & used their own bags, which I saw were ripped when I got home. Waited forever, even after checking in. I understand it's crazy busy now, so I didn't mind waiting, but I am annoyed that I wasted over $10 on a red velvet cake & then it was substituted for 4 disgusting, small pound cakes with nuts, which my son is allergic to. Not to mention red velvet tastes way better. This is insulting. This is why I don't like to check yes for substitutes, but I really wanted/needed paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, milk, eggs, & bagels. They had none in stock. People are going too crazy snatching them up to try & sell them for higher. While others are stuck at home with nothing. read more

Worst shopping pickup experience I have ever received. I ordered last night because I don't have time to in-store shop. I get there today on my lunch break between meetings and I check in. I'm waiting and waiting and then I look at the app and it says my order was picked up just a few minutes before that. So obviously they gave someone else my order. HOW? I literally entered the spot I was parked in, and the type of car?? Did you even ask the name? I left and tried for 30 minutes to try and get a hold of someone from multiple different departments from the store and NOT ONE answered. I get a hold of customer service and all they offer is a refund, no order replacement, NOTHING. I've always came to this Walmart location but recently I've noticed there customer service has been less helpful. And I'm not speaking about all the employees just interactions that I've had the pass few months and I understand the times we live in I'm sure people are tired and patience is thin. But literally I've had the worst experience tonight. I called a few days ago to the return department to ask what time they close I was told 8pm So today I went 15 before 8pm to do my return when I got there lights were off and they had a rope barrier around it so people could not enter. There was two ladies (not workers) waiting to be helped and I asked them if they knew what time they closed she said someone was helping them but they left. I flagged down another associate and I asked them what time they closed thinking I misunderstood them closing at 8pm she told me "sorry I don't know what time they are closing tonight" (I thought to myself what does that mean) another lady trying to get a return done showed up as well saying she called and they told her they closed at 8 as well. The employee then told me she would get the front end manager and for us to wait. She looked busy so I stood there patiently waiting thinking this is all a misunderstanding, she returned saying some man name Eddie or Edwin will come to help Maybe 10 minutes later two associates named Anthony and Daniel came behind the return counter and told us that they have been closed since 7:30pm the lady doing the other return and I both told him we called and we were told 8pm was closing time. The employee exchange words with each other, the original lady who was there before me was know becoming frustrated and the employee named Anthony told her (and in my opinion he was extremely rude with his tone) "ma'am I'm already am helping you, you know with the order you can't find" in my opinion there was no need for the comment 'you know the order you can't find' " the lady was already frustrated there was no need for the snide comment and the announcement of her problem to the rest of us customers who are waiting. Daniel told me he would help me with my return which I was happy to hear. I then thanked him and told him that the lady who told me to wait said she was going to get and Eddie or Edwin manager to help us, I told him I don't know if that information helps him but I gave it. He told me I don't know who that is let's just do the return. I felt his frustration like I said before I get it but hey I as a customer thought I did the right thing by calling to verify what time they close the returns to find out they decided to close early and the reason I say that is because at the end of the transaction Daniel asked me if this Walmart was my home store. I told him yes I always come here and he then said this which is the reason for this post, he said, " Yes, the returns is open until 8 pm we HAVE to say that when people ask BUT sometime we need to close early because of staffing in other departments. " I told him at that point that 'that is not my fault and I was told 8 I'm just going by what I was told' It's really poor customer service on that note to tell a customer "we have to say that but things can change and oh well" Even the tone of the two male associates were extremely unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable. When the return was done Daniel continued to comment because of my return he now has more work to do. I think I'll start going to a different Walmart from now on because there's no reason for me to feel uncomfortable like I did something wrong. 2.5 stars rounded to 3. This place needs to get its act together with regard to the pickup of online orders. I come here quite often for my kids' school needs whereby I order the items online and choose free pickup. In the app, there is an option to check in to let a store associate know you have arrived and ready to get your stuff. However, the check in has no effect because when you walk up to the pickup area, you still need to press the red button to call for help. Mind you, with the pandemic going on and plenty of people doing online orders, the pickup area is rather chaotic with several pushcarts filled with goods blocking the way to the red button on the wall. Somebody needs to move them before you can press for assistance. I have also tried doing Walmart Grocery Pickup 3x a few days before LA County went into lockdown last March. All my attempts were unsuccessful because I waited close to an hour at the designated spot and was told I needed to wait several more minutes before I could be served. Precious minutes wasted when I could have just walked in and gotten my stuff. From then on, I didn't do Walmart Grocery Pickup anymore. I am still a fan of this location and will continue to patronize because it's the one closest to us but my wish is for them to improve the quality of their services. Walmart owes it to the consumers who have especially boosted their revenues with all the shopping that's been going on even during this crisis. read more

I'm saddened that there are so many negative reviews on the pick-up or this store in general. Have you been to other locations? I had such a great experience, what I do recommend is going through your order before leaving and being patient. It's a pandemic, these essential workers are risking their lives every day to work to provide us a service and ensure we get our groceries. Let me start this off by saying, I have been coming here for years! I always check out the make up bile before doing my grocery shopping. Never have I had to pay before exiting the make up section with items. Today was no different except, when I went to exit the make up section a woman stopped me. She demanded I paid then and there for the cosmetics. She was very forceful and rude... Asian woman with stringy hair approximately 5 foot 2. I just dropped the products there when she became more rude when I stated I had other shopping to do. I'd say I've spent THOUSANDS on cosmetics alone in that store!!! NEVER has anyone demanded i pay. I came into this Walmart to return an air mattress. I thought this would be a simple return since I had the receipt with the box and purchased the item 6 days ago.. boy was I wrong! First the associate at the return desk named Pat lies to me about the return policy (no idea why possibly based off of my ethnicity because she helped the person after me with his item with a different tone). She informed me there are no returns on the air mattress despite me having the receipt (purchased it 6 days ago) and the original box. I informed her of the issue which was the mattress was not holding air and after I slept in it one night it deflated in the middle of the night and hurt my back. After hearing this she made up some lie about all air mattresses having a no return policy. Pat informed me that all air mattress can not be returned in store and to try to return it to the item to the original store (I've never heard of someone having to return to the original purchase store) or go through the manufacturer. I thought it was strange because no one ever mentioned a policy like this when I purchased the item and there were no signs up about this policy near the air mattress section. I realized she would not take the item back at which point I decided to leave and not make it a big deal. Driving back home curious and a bit annoyed about having to drive back over an hour to make a simple return to the original Walmart I decided to call a couple Walmart's. As much as I hate these masks, we all have to wear them but last night was the worst I've seen. People is each aisle including couples and entire families without masks, even while at the cash registers with plenty of staff around. I told two employees and a manager and got a wishy washy response that all they can do is offer a mask but that's about it. I'm just shocked at how staff can allow people to do as they pledge but at every other store in san dimas glendora area the employees really care and help us all follow these temporary rules. read more

While this Wally World is one of the only 24-hour ones in the area, it is sheer hell. Every time I go in here, all the aisles are blocked by rows of palletts, which is amazing considering that the shelves are never stocked. Go into any checkout line, and you'll see things like perishables sitting next to the magazines because people realized at the last minute that they either didn't want that milk, or couldn't afford it. Either way, I'm sure it makes it's way back to the refrigerator. Anyways, the place is always a mess, and of course there's that problem you have at every Wally World of the uncontrolled kids running around. As expected, Walmart proves to have some of crappiest customer service in retail! Visited the store this evening to make a return at the customer service department, and then purchase a few items. Arrived at 7:20 PM... the customer service desk was closed! There were five of us there each trying to figure out how we could make our returns, and someone came up to tell us that they had closed at 6 PM tonight. They don't normally close at 6 PM, they just decided to close at 6 PM for tonight because of "staffing issues". When I asked the guy "you know how ridiculous that sounds that you just decide to close early, right?", he replied "yes, I understand, but our priority had to be staffing the registers". And of course you can't make a return at the registers. So, Walmart management decided to send a message that they're more concerned about taking care of the customers who want to buy from Walmart, but don't give a damn about the customers who need to come back with a return. And that doesn't even account for someone coming in to pay a bill, purchase a cashiers check, purchase a money order, any of those other services that they would expect to be able to do mid-evening only to find out Walmart closed that area hours earlier than they should have. So, now I have to come back AGAIN to do my return when I should have been able to do it tonight. But I sure as heck didn't make any purchases while I was here. I decided, instead, to go over to Target and do it there! ;) read more

I will admit that I do like to shop at Walmart (although I love Target, especially their dollar spot strategically located right at the entrance) and had to pick up some wet dog food since we were out (my dogs will only take their medication with wet food, those spoiled little babies). Since my husband and I were in the area, we decided to shop at this location. I was surprised to see how ghetto this Walmart was, especially it being in Glendora (because Glendora is a nice city). Parts of the ceiling needed some major work and some of the customers just had that ghetto personality (we will just leave it at that...). I was able to find the pet section located at the back of the store and brought my selection of wet dog food to the front. The assistant store manager rang up up and was really nice and friendly, thus increasing my rating to 3 stars because of it. (This was well after 9:30 pm, so I wasn't expecting for any employee to be friendly and helpful at this time of the hour). Honestly do not see myself shopping here again though. read more
