********UPDATE: Honestly, after reading reviews below and realizing this is not an isolated incident, I do believe they have purposely disconnected their phone or muted the ring somehow. There's no way they're not aware of this issue. Which means they've actively chosen to avoid doing anything about it. I'm going to take this way further up the line, I'm going to get someone's attention that can actually do something about this. If anyone is interested in helping me do this, or has any names or dates of specific employees/incidents, email me @

******END OF UPDATE
Honestly.. I would give ZERO stars if I could. This place, in regards to just their customer service ALONE, is a joke. I get that it's WalMart, right? And honestly, no one likes working retail, I personally have promised myself I'll never work retail again, I do get it. People do suck, and dealing with their petty problems is not worth the laughable pay rate for any & all of the employees there. But.. for once I do somewhat agree with the sentiment of "Get a better job" in this instance. Although considering the current effort (or better, the lack there of..) level put into a job like WalMart Customer Service, I have a feeling that no one there would really be able to cut it at a job where you'd actually have to try.
The date is Friday, December 9th, 2022. The current time is 7:01PM (Pacific). I am literally typing this minutes after spending the last 30 minutes trying to just get someone on the phone from this WalMart location. The store is currently open, just to be sure it was open, I drove by it real quick because I realize that the internet is not always reliable.. meaning, just because my phone tells me WalMart's hours state it is open right now, doesn't necessarily mean that is 100% accurate 100% of the time. But no, driving by, I see clearly that the store is very much open & really not even that busy considering it is the holiday season. "Not that busy" is rather important to note in this case because...
I CALLED THIS STORE PHONE NUMBER(S) FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES STARTING AT 6:20PM, AND EACH TIME THE PHONE RANG AND RANG AND RANG FOR WELL OVER FIVE MINUTES EACH TIME AND BECAUSE NO ONE FELT COMPELLED TO ANSWER THE PHONE... THE SYSTEM EVENTUALLY WOULD JUST HANG UP ON ME!!! I FINALLY GAVE UP AT 6:56PM AND HERE I AM!
I try really hard not to write negative reviews. I consider myself to be a very reasonable, understanding, and most of all EMPATHETIC individual. I do know how frustrating a job like this can be. And I will admit, my days working retail found me, at many times, wishing I could scoop my eyeballs out with a melon baller rather than answer a ringing phone.. God only knows who was waiting for me on the other end of that call, and what really dumb & annoying "problem" they had for me to have to pretend to give a s*^t about. But here's the thing.. I ALWAYS ANSWERED THE CALL BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT I WAS PAID TO DO. We all have to pay our dues when it comes to employment, we all have to suck it up & smile while the "Karen's" of the world got in our face and screamed at us for our "incompetence" because we couldn't process a return she no longer had the receipt for and was well passed the 30-day return period for, yet somehow it was still our fault, and we took it like f^%^king CHAMPIONS because at the end of the day.. that $8.25/hour was ALL WE HAD.
I am someone who FIGHTS for the right of these employees to make $15-$16 an hour to be minimum wage, I fight for people to earn a living wage, and roll my eyes at people who make comments about how someone "flipping burgers" or "working at walmart", in their eyes, doesn't "DESERVE" to earn as much money as them because of whatever privileged ass reason they pull out of their arsenal on any given day... I know that working at WalMart probably sucks in all honesty, and it sucks that the way the world works is that someone has to do it. It really isn't fair, and I wish we all had cushy six-figure-a-year jobs that allowed us to work less & spend more time with our families.. but that utopia is never gonna happen, unfortunately. At least not in our lifetime. So.. while we have to, treat your job as if it's your career no matter how much you hate it, and things will honestly start to look a lot better for you, promise you that.
