This Walmart was nice when it first opened, but I feel like it has majorly gone downhill. The shelves are always empty, and whenever I try to find an employee to ask if they could help me in finding out if the particular item will be back in stock soon, they are NEVER helpful. Sometimes the employees have been downright rude to me. The order pickup is always so slow to get my items together that it is worthless to use. You may as well venture through the store of empty shelves on your own. As terrible as it sounds, they need more unhelpful employees on cash registers as the lines are always incredibly long. The self check out lines are always long too since half the machines usually don't work. Bottom line: save yourself the time and trouble and go to Target. read more

Today, November 19, 2022 & 6:24p I was at this Walmart- jewelry counter. We asked every employee they said they didn't know about this department. Then I went to customer service- for them to say it's been closed all day due to no one knowing that department. I was shocked, due to I worked here for years, and it's not hard. First red flag. Second red flag is when working in fabrics, to be the customer and offer to help show someone how to cut fabric, because I worked that department. And they said they wasn't trained. Is SAD. The customer service is not CUSTOMER SERVICING. The management is being the team friends, instead of being an excellent leader. They all walk around on their phones, and get mad when you interrupt them. The fact that I was thinking about going back, I won't! This is sad!! Back then Customer service was the top main priority. No matter what! The fact that they tell you what they're not going to do, act like we are interrupting their busy day while they are on the phone, when they are suppose to be helping. Walmart. Wow. This particular store SUCKS! From the many empty shelves to NEVER being able to find an employee when you need one!! Employees are not friendly and don't seem to really care about their job. The BEST couple-of-things I can about this particular Walmart are: 1) Thanks for being open late when I needed a car battery 2) It's a free campground for RVs and trailers 3) and it's got great outdoor smoking accommodations on the side of the store where you can find ALL the employees if you ever need anything! I don't go in often, but when I do I am so happy there is a Dunkin Donuts inside! Makes the shopping experience way better. Usually very busy, and the grocery department is often out of several items. Parking isn't bad however, for as busy as it usually is. What does deserve 5 Stars is the pick up program. It is the best life saver ever!! Order all your items off their grocery app, you can even add non grocery j Items! They come right to your car along the side of the building. Only downfall is you usually have to reserve a time slot the day before. If they work on adding more time slots during the same day, it would be amazing. read more

If you are bi racial- do not shop at Walmart. Everytime I come here I am singled out by an obese white woman - or just a white woman in general. My biracial partner and I came here for pillows, a sheet and water as I am expecting. Upon walking out, I noticed the obese woman checking me out (my tattoos??) and proceeded to ask for my receipt. Yet she let all the other people pass as well as the white woman with a huge amount of items behind us pass. It's fucking ridiculous and I feel, as a biracial person, singled out. Another occurence that pissed me the fuck off since we're here: we purchased a TV from the back and even showed the receipt and the woman proceeded to call the back to make sure. You're damn right I made a scene, took our cart and left. If I showed your dumbass the fucking receipt - the fuck are you wasting my time calling the electronic dept you dumb fuck?! Okay so this is actually two reviews in one. One for this location & the other for Walmart.com 43rd Street Location: This has to be the WORST Walmart that I have ever been to. You want dryer sheets? Out of stock. Frozen fruit? Out of stock. Fresh fruit? Out of stock. Salad dressing? Out of stock. Chicken thighs? Out of stock. You see where I'm going with this! Everything you could possibly want or need from Walmart is ALWAYS out of stock. If you're a female, DO NOT go at night because you will be harassed by every male employee that's "stocking" the aisles. Because this location never has anything I need, I was excited when Walmart introduced their free 2-Day Shipping service. I thought this would be better, WRONG! Walmart.com: I ordered the minimum of $35 worth of groceries to qualify for the 2-day shipping. First of all, only half of my items got here in 2 days! The other half arrived in multiple packages across a span of 4 days. They put everything in larges boxes. The items are only wrapped in paper and being thrown in large boxes forces everything to move around and get damaged. My cookies? All broken. My pancake mix? Busted. My Pringles? Busted & scattered all over the box. My tuna? Busted all my otter pops! Really Walmart? If this is how you plan on "beating" Amazon, please try again! Sincerely everyone! Look honestly, just spare yourself the headache and spend the extra cash to shop at Publix or even visit Wards Supermarket if you're in Gainesville. Cons: You will pay for your low prices with: - customer service that is minimal to non-existent to borderline rude. - long lines, even late at night, with no hope that additional registers will be opened. - empty shelves on many items. Despite having the aisles clean and the products organized on the shelfs, most of the employees I have encountered there have a terrible demeanor. Example: I'm at the auto sevice counter and I politely asked if I can purchased these items I had on hand? She rudely said "Sure!" Shortly afterwards she called another lady to come and help me out and her attitude was even worse than the first employee. She had the attitude that I was inconveniencing her on doing her job. Nice, new and big store in SW Gainesville but no auto department (crazy to me). This store has its Gator Zone in the store vs like a separate store inside Walmart like a nail salon some have. Sometimes I come to this store to see if they have more selection or at least more of the products I'm looking for. At times they do and others nope. I am usually able to go to Walmart and buy what I need and leave after standing in line of line of course forever and a day which is expected at Walmart. A store associate was blocking the main isle which leads from the front of the store to the back and I was needing to turn left from the comforter isle and wasn't able to because of an empty pallet which was on a pallet jack and associate ann had stopped and was blocking the flow of traffic and I asked if I could get by and she rudely said, when she got done helping the customer, she would move it when she could've found empty room in the center of that isle to place the pallet while helping the customer. This is the laziest Tire and lube express I have ever been to. Generally I purchase all my tires through Walmart but when they said they would have 1 off vehicle flat repair done by early afternoon 1 pm, I lost it 1 vehicle getting oil changed and a 5 hour wait??????? The absolute WORST Walmart to date. We went in tonight January 17,2018 to pick up a few things. My husband is by the front door next to customer service and see several t.v.'s on display so we called over a store manager so we can purchase two of them. As we are standing there we noticed they are priced wrong ok no big deal. The customer service manager(csm) goes to find the "store manager " because apparently they where priced way way wrong. My husband notices something is out of place with her so he takes pictures of the tv's and prices. The manager comes over and says I'm NOT going to give you the tv's for that price,I have every right to deny you and so on. Basically he was a rude @$$hole who threw his management position around. He also claims the collage kids come in and prank them and when my husband said how is that my problem why can't the security guard do something? He says oh I'll show you video feed,my husband again asked what that has to do with anything? All in all he was a nightmare so we called corporate and let them know. I spoke to the assistant manager and find out he isn't even the actual store manager and that the store manager Jack wasn't even there today. Also the store itself is a mess. A few things on my list tonite: 1. Avocados 2. Glade plug-ins 3. Vanilla scented candle 4. Noosa yoghurt 5. Clear mascara 6. Cucumbers 7. String beans Avocados were all hard, BUT..$0.85 ea (so it evened out). There was only one scent of Glade plug-ins & the shelving display was in complete disarray, so I had to sift through the other brands for what felt like 89 years. There were no Vanilla scented candles..imagine that...every other scent that exists on the planet tho. The only Noosa yoghurt was pumpkin and lemon..mmm..gross. Absolutely no clear mascara. The cucumbers were soggy and had felt and looked like they were left for dead. The string beans? Oh there were a plethora of the same brand, same amount of string bean..HOWEVER, they were all different prices ranging from $2.98 to $4.98. This Walmart sucks..this wasn't just a fluke either, they never have anything. The workers are unhappy and there's only one check out line at night (12am-ish) this Walmart is new and I expect more from them. Buuuuut..it's Walmart, it's ghetto. Oh and GOOD LUCK dodging the grocery carts that line the parking lot unorganized and continually in the way. I had to take an expensive air mattress I bought on line. Auto pump did not work. The customer service rep was mean. 3 different times I had to prove to her that Walmart in documented return policy will take it back. I felt like President Trump. I travel all over the U.S. for my job. 4. I am diabetic and Wal-Mart pharmacy can fill my prescriptions anywhere! (This does take some time). 5. Wal-Mart has been a family tradition since the early 70s when my brother worked there, he knew and liked Sam Walton. So, for many reasons, Wal-Mart is my go to! read more

I went to this Walmart to get beach supplies before a day trip. Even though it was the beginning of summer, there were no chairs, umbrellas or beach toys. Surprising but oh well. I asked two employees just to make sure I wasn't missing a whole display - one pretended to not hear me and the other just shrugged. I got a couple inflatable balls and went to pick up some drinks and snacks. Employees were stocking the shelves and yelling between aisles about how horrible all the customers were and how they hated working in that store. There was only one checkout line open but it moved quickly. The only friendly person in the store was the security guard. I hadn't been to a Walmart in a couple years, but I thought MAYBE because this store is brand new I would give it a try. Unfortunately, it is still a Walmart. Everything you might hate about Walmart (especially old Butler Plaza) this one fixed. Efficient parking lot design for fast in and out. Super wide aisles. Tons of stuff including a full grocery selection with national brands at excellent prices. Self checkout so you don't have to deal with slow Walmart cashiers with attitudes. Self checkouts are corralled with 1 line for like 10 stations so even if there is a wait (never seen it more than 5 people deep), you get through really fast and don't get stuck between arguments over EBT and 5 cent off coupons. Bonus: It codes as grocery on most Visa/MasterCard if you have a grocery bonus category. read more

Can someone please answer the phone! I have tried to call four different departments at this store and nobody picks up the phone.

Been ordering and opted for delivery service for the past 9 months or so. For the first several months all was excellent. The last three deliveries I have had many concerns. This last order I was sent damaged items, rotten produce, wrong product count of item ordered (I was charged for the higher count and sent the lower count) missed items (stated they were out of stock which I was charged for) substitutions were not even close to what I had ordered. So, I went to the store personally after this last order (yesterday 03/07/20) and all the missed items were on the shelves, I did not notice any rotten produce, out of stock items were on the shelves and the items I had ordered which were substituted for were also present in the store. And the poor delivery driver - my items were labeled with another customers name and vice versa). All items had to be checked before I would accept delivery. They have gotten extremely sloppy and obviously tremendously lazy while shopping and packing the orders. I did contact customer service this time and I was issues a credit for the items missing and damaged (yet to see that on my bank statement) and a $10 voucher off my next order. However, the CSR spoke broken English and I had to have her repeat herself several times. After this last complete screw-up I will be taking my very large grocery order elsewhere. read more

This is a fabulous Walmart. Fantastic prices, and they're even starting to get a decent assortment of organic and vegan-friendly foods. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. I'm taking off 1/2 star because they have trouble keeping their grocery items in stock--it's not unusual to walk in on a Saturday afternoon and find out their eggs are sold out (except for the super-expensive, organic free-range eggs). They even have trouble keeping canned items like cat food in stock. And I'm taking off another 1/2 star for their check-out lines which are too long (including self check out). They've taken to having a person standing out front of the lines, "herding" people to a different line. This simply does not make check-out any faster because by the time you walk over to (for instance) Customer Service to use their check-out, they already have a line of people who need to be there for Customer Service and take twice as long as regular check-out. I wish Walmart would simply open a couple more check-outs because "herding" people to other checkouts that have a shorter line simply doesn't work--by the time you get to the recommended check-out line, the line has already filled up with customers. If they open 3 lines right next to each other, everybody would be able to see which lines are open and which lines are shortest and could self-direct themselves to the shortest lines. read more
