I love Wal-Mart! And this is probably the only Wal-Mart I will actually set foot in! I come here all the time at all different hours of day and night. The staff can be rude, but their human and don't wanna be at work just like you so if you don't make their lives hard they won't bother you. I've had some great experiences at this Wal-Mart and will always shop here. They're in store pick up is a little slow, but definitely effective! I noticed they finally have security in the store! Which is great one of my bad experiences there was a man couldn't find is phone and threatened me and my friends and accused us of stealing it. The staff definitely tried to help out, but mostly no one care what was going on which was ridiculous. Until a lady with an attitude told the guy he left is phone in McDonald's. Which I thought was hilarious. But the staff didn't really do much I mean they aren't technically supposed to, but if a fight breaks out in your store you need security measures for sure, especially in a family store with kids around. So I'm happy they have security now. Walmart always has what I need and even if I'm just their looking around I always find things I want. I definitely like Walmart over Target. read more

I would give a 1/2 star if they had one due to my experience tonight! I entered the Fishkill store at approximately 5:30 tonight and took about 15 minutes to select my items to purchase. I could not use the self-service checkout because it now limits purchases to 15 items. I had a few more items than the "20 Items or Less" aisles would allow, so I was forced to get on a line with three customers ahead of me, all with a lot of items in their carts, especially the lady in front of me who was buying a great deal of back-to-school items, an entire cartful! There were only a couple of other registers open, so it did not leave many other options other that to hope the elderly man ringing the register would move the line along quickly. Not so!! He was constantly chattering away to the customers in front of me, making a much slower process of ringing them out. Six other customers came behind me, and after seeing how slow he was, moved to other lines, and left way before me! I tried to look for another line, but by then, any that were open were also filled with many customers and did not appear to be moving much faster. But that was a bad choice on my part, I should have moved! It took me over 45 minutes to check out the few items I wanted to purchase! And to make matters worse, when I went to report my ordeal to a manager, another cashier up front pointed to a lady walking by and said she was the manager on duty. I explained what had happened to her, and she gave me a rude explanation of it being a busy time of year, and that happens, can't be helped! Well if they know that, why not have more cashiers working to ring up the customers?! And do not have an elderly cashier who prefers to chat rather than work efficiently! I have nothing against employing someone who is elderly, I myself am 66 and work at a privately owned market as a cashier! I can tell you, they would never tolerate that kind of slow, inexcusable service! But Walmart seems to care more about their profits, keeping staffing down, so as to keep payroll low, even at the expense of very poor customer service! I would highly recommend the Fishkill store manager look into employing more efficient, faster cashiers, and more polite and concerned relief managers. The ones they have are not getting the job done! read more

Desperately needed to pick up a last second Christmas card so I got here at 5:45pm (they claim they close at 6) so I get to the door and no one is allowed to enter after 5:30 apparently. So that's not being open until 6, that's open until 5:30. False advertising. REALLY bad for business. read more

The only reason I go here is when I absolutely have to; I do not get there meat or produce here its often looks poor quality. And the bathrooms!!! DO NOT USE THEM!! I would rather wait and use the gas station bathroom then use there's. The last time I was there I had to go really bad and I walked in and walked right back out. The stalls where dirty toilet paper and paper towels all over the place and the garbage pale was over flowing. I went to complain to the service desk and the woman was rude! I went up there and told the lady the bathrooms where dirty and she responded "I already know" don't recommend this place to anyone read more

Maybe you shouldn't have "site to store" right by the employee check in and break room. It's incredibly frustrating to watch every store employee see you standing by the counter not getting any help. At least 15 mins to get something picked up EVERY TIME! read more

This store lacks in open cash registers. Always a problem but tonight was the worst. For a Super Walmart to have 3 cashiers on and one of them is ten items or less, is crazy! So bad and forget about help. One worker said I can't get a register open only the manager can. So he was asked well where's a manager- can you get one? He responded you know how those managers are just off somewhere. He never tried to get help. We ended up leaving our cart and walking out. Very long lines with some very angry people. Unfortunately Putnam County doesn't have a Walmart. This Walmart needs some serious help. read more

I have been a loyal customer for years, so much so the employees say hello to me every time they see me. I have also been using checks for my purchases. My husband fills out the check with everything accept the amount. For over 5 years we have purchased groceries weekly using this method of payment. One Sunday afternoon, a cashier decided my way of purchase was not acceptable and called her front end supervisor. I have had no trouble at all in the past and this day all of a sudden it is a problem. The "lady" was very rude when I stated that I have shopped here for over twenty years and have used my husbands check. "She " replies oh so for twenty years you used these checks? I said no not exactly that long. "She " was trying to embarrass me with "her" tone. I offered to call my husband, but "she" replied how do I know it's really him? Look "lady " I've shopped here for twenty years using money ! Not food stamps! I am a decent person .My husband called your boss who let me come back purchase my groceries using that check. If you treat all your customers like you treated me you will be fired soon! Speak to me with disrespect again and I will make sure you are. read more

Are you kidding me? Hess Trucks are on sale at Walmart for 79.95! They go for $31.00 on the Hess Toy Truck website. Walmart is taking advantage of the fact that many Hess stations have closed and consumers now have to buy them online. So much for the 'lowest prices' Walmart! Checked this store specifically before driving a half hour to purchase Canon printer ink cartridges that were needed for online training in a new job I am starting immediately. Website for Canon 245 & 246 clearly shows it as in-stock and available for purchase. Upon showing up found ALL the Canon ink cartridges were OUT-OF-STOCK with little signs recommending I order it on-line, acknowledging they knew it was out-of-stock. I had passed a Staples and could have bought it there, but thought I would pick up some socks while in Walmart. Staples was closed for the day, please get your act together. You screwed me royally.
