This is about the pharmacy. So I had to get a refill on a pretty generic heartburn medicine that took literally five trips (all in one day!) Trip 1: That will be 200 dollars. Trip 2: Sorry we didn't add your insurance. That will be 200 dollars. Trip 3: Closed for lunch from 1:30 to 2 pm. That's fine but maybe a sign to let folks know? Trip 4: Here is your prescription for 30 days. I can't give you 90 days because the doctor didn't write a prescription for that. Trip 5: Oh nevermind, the doctor did write a prescription for 90 days. That will be 600 dolllars. Oh you have a GoodRx code? Nevermind 30 dollars. Eventually I got what I needed, but CVS employees did not seem to care about how much I'd need to pay until visit 5, and completely did not see a prescription on at least 2 visits. One star. The store is great however. Well stocked. Fairly priced. Good selection of candy, etc. The pharmacy? Meh. read more

Super friendly staff, even during the stressful holiday rush! I lost power and needed firewood to keep my house warm, which unfortunately they did not have... However, I cut my losses and bought some snacks to get me though the night and ironically, the receipt they sent me home with was so long that I actually wrapped my entire house with it and now I'm warmer than ever! read more

There is one pharmacist who cares about his customers. For that gentlemen I give 5 starts, all the rest have been terrible with a capital T. I don't know how people in health care related fields can be so careless and rude to their customers. They keep insisting that my insurance is terminated even though I received brand new cards and a letter from my insurance saying it is active. It is active according to the doctors I visit and I had no problem at the dentist last week. When I call my insurance they tell me I am active and nothing is wrong with my insurance. When I tell the pharmacy at CVS, they basically cut me off before I can finish speaking to tell me there is nothing they can do. Today I asked for some additional information about the med I was provided but they quickly told me they didn't know and to read the attached instructions. They asked if I still wanted the meds even though I had to pay out of pocket. OF COURSE YOU IDIOTS I can't just not take my medicine, do you not understand how this works???? This is pretty much a standard representative for the franchise. We stopped in for a few items, needed for our travels. The store is well-maintained,; with the usual selection of items found in one's local CVS. The staff person was friendly, and our purchase was processed efficiently. We can't comment on the pharmacy; but as for the rest of the operation, we would consider it a solid option. read more

There's a reason we switched from CVS Fishkill to the Medicine Shoppe two years ago. Tried once again to get an RX filled at this CVS and can't get through to anyone in the pharmacy. My doctor verified the RX had been sent yesterday AM. CVS Fishkill, please don't bother advertising you have a phone number because no one answers it. My doctor called her and she had the option to call him back but refused. I am giving this CVS 3 stars not because they deserve 3 stars, but because my expectations for corporations who have local servicing retail shops like CVS are so low, they could be hitting the outer wall of the Christian Hell in the center of the Earth's core. Its bad enough that every time I come in, there is literally no one in the entire store who can help me find anything in case I need anything new I don't usually know the location of. The last few times I was here, no one knew what band-aids actually are, much less where to find them, and at another time I asked at the pharmacy if they had magnesium in gummy form and they emphatically said they do not sell them at all, and then as I was literally walking away from the pharmacy I accidentally noticed it on the shelf. Now as I understand it, when my doctor prescribes me a muscle relaxant for the rotator cuff injury I have been nursing since late summer, they would only issue me one third of my prescription, because they are trying to help with the opioid epidemic... because CVS clearly thinks they know better them my medical doctor who prescribes it to me, and believe in curbing and amending a prescription from a medical professional. The level of arrogance, customer and patient abuse, and mind-numbing lack of basic human compassion this exhibits is atrocious. Since when is my pharmacy knows what I need better then my doctor? Maybe next time my pharmacist decides to supersede my doctor, I should ask them to show me their medical credentials and give me a physical? Its grotesque. Last year my entire family had the flue and apparently they put a cut off on how many NyQuil bottles a person can buy because you know, we could get tracked if we buy too much NYQuil. They actually report you for it. Utterly disgusting and entitled. This puts an unfair burden on chronic patients, and abuses those in pain while people in tall offices oblivious to this make these heavy handed choices. its so painfully clear that they are cutting down on staff so that they could make sure the executives get their bonuses, and now they are abusing people in pain. I can only wish all the CVS executives will one day become chronic pain patients so they would know what this is like. read more

This is my and my girlfriend's favorite pharmacy. Just diagnosed with 2 forms of skin cancer on my face. MARIA and the store manager made sure I got the exact SPF product to put on my face, CVS Health 45 SPF ultra sheer lotion. I happened to be looking in the wrong section. I also looked for a bamboo toothbrush, which they had in the past. I forgot to look for Coppertone Sport SPF for my legs. Please take skin cancer seriously! read more

Agree 100% with the other reviews about the pharmacy department. Called to get a refill, I kept getting cut off and interrupted when answering simple questions like my DOB or name. I have 4 days left on my prescription and the guy refused to fill it saying it was too soon (it's birth control). I really tried to be patient but I had to hang up on him and say I would call another CVS. That guy needs to go. I've NEVER had issues refilling the prescription at my regular CVS. read more

This morning I had surgery and a prescription for an antibiotic was submitted to the Fishkill store. Since I am on mail delivery, the pharmacy sent it via US Mail. My girlfriend just went over to pick up the scrip, and they wouldn't even give her a few tabs to get me through until the package arrives. The attendant tried to argue on my behalf but a woman (probably the manager that was spoken of in previous reviews) got angry with the attendant in front of everyone in a long line and all of the other pharmacy workers, and the request was denied. Yes a 1...maybe I should give a zero..if I could I would....my 87 almost 88 year old aunt had a prescription called in by her doctor...we get there and I drop her off...30 minutes later I am sitting in my car in the heat waiting for her...I exit my car and go in the store looking for her..she is in the corner waiting.I walk in and sit down and a young woman never seen before asks me if I need help I tell her I am with her waiting for a script...long story short an hour later she has no script ready and the girl is looking at us like she has never seen us before even though she has spoken to my aunt 2-3 times and me twice and still asked the same QUESTION! She finally tells myself and aunt that they are out of stock! You are so right!!! One of the pharmacist there IS SO NASTY! She has refused adamantly to help me out in some very serious medication issues over the last few weeks for my elderly mother and me. She knows better that you cannot go cold turkey off certain medications like high blood pressure or antidepressants, especially dealing with the elderly. And she proceeded to dump her responsibility of calling the pharmacy insurance company on me. She gets paid to do that. CVS has never let me down when it comes to picking up something needed in a pinch, such as tin foil on Thanksgiving Day. The photo service is convenient, allowing you to print right from your smartphone or memory device. In addition, they also do passport photos - just in case you're thinking of flying off to Punta Cana to escape the horror that can be the wait on line at the interior pharmacy. The drive-thru pharmacy is an added bonus for its convenience, however, that can get pretty backed up from time to time as well. What would you expect from any pharmacy, really, when we live in a world where medicines are rammed down our throats at a rate equivalent to that of a frat boy hammering shots of Cabo Wabo in Cancun? read more

They have a ton of pharmacists, but none of them seem to know what what they are doing. Most are rude and not very helpful. I actually had a pharmacy member lose my prescription right in front of me, so I had to wait while they filled it again. Smh. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. Unfortunately, I just had to make another extremely frustrating trip to this awful pharmacy. This time, I called in advance to make sure they had both parts of my prescription ready for pick up. They assured me that they had everything ready, the way I requested it. When I went there, they had neither. One was in the wrong form; I had specified the form I wanted. The other, they said was out of refills. I had to call the doctor to get the refill re-authorized, and will have to make another trip. Their incompetence takes your breath away. When I asked to speak to the manager, to complain, they told me, as always, there was no manager present. I should never have brought my prescription there in the first place; now, it is difficult to transfer. read more

i cant speak for the pharmacy department but today i went in to CVS to get some makeup and i was blown away at how nice and helpful the staff is. Franchesca was super helpful when i was looking for lip products and dry shampoo, and the cashier Gina was incredibly sweet as she helped me update my CVS card. this was the first time i've been asked if i need help at a CVS (i usually go to different ones and they don't even seem like they have staff on the floor) and it was a great experience--thank you Franchesca and Gina!!!! read more

This review is in regards to the pharmacy only. I find the staff at this pharmacy location to be rude and unhelpful. Filling prescriptions here is painful, and in this modern day and age, that simply should not be the case. If you can use another pharmacy, I recommend that you do so. read more

Every time I've been in here I have been overwhelmed by the virtually otherworldly friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I don't know what they are pumping into the air in there but these guys never fail to help me find what I need, check prices, find coupons I didn't even know about and just be genuinely friendly the whole time they're doing it. All questions and requests that would be greeted with disdain at any other pharmacy are treated as friendly everyday service here. This pharmacy has very little respect for the terminal ill or people in serious pain. They are non human. Mean. Abrupt. The US Pain Foundation has placed them on the cruel list. They often make seriously ill people wait 5-7 days for medications while they slowly order them. I am from out of town and will need to fill my prescription for tramadol down there when I am there next week. There is a certain generic brand which does not work for me. I called to find out what brand they carry and they refused to to tell me which brand they carry. Every other pharmacy is wiling to share this information. Fishkill, NY branch: Hard to know where to begin! Tried to opt out of the texting service, got me booted from the entire pharmacy system! Called corporate CS, they said "sometimes the staff at the pharmacy doesn't know what they're doing". Well THAT'S COMFORTING! Got back into the texting system (but you get heckled to death with You want to refill this? You want to refill that? NO I JUST WANT A TEXT WHEN IT'S READY!!) Thought I resolved the problem thru corporate until I went to pick up my prescription and NOPE my insurance etc., is not in the system, so I have to wait 1/2 hour while they get their act together and put me back into the system (this time at the store.) Next month - I go as I got 6 texts saying 2 of my scripts were ready for pick up. Lo and behold, not only is there only ONE script ready (the other script was like they never even knew about it, but it was called in by my doc the prior week), but again I WAS NOT IN THE SYSTEM! No insurance of file - nothing. Was told to come back 1/2 hour later and they would look for the other script and put me back in the system. Came back again (because you know, I have nothing better to do than to go back and forth to CVS all day), and they still can't find my script from the doc. Told the guy "Give me my insurance card back, don't bother filling anything ever again. You just lost a customer. Rite Aid - here I come! By the way CVS - I put this on my social media and I am NOT the only one with problems with your branch and other branches. Had a prescription filled for percoset- for dental abscess. the quantity was for 24 pills.. When I got home and counted the pills-I counted only 14 pills. I called, and told them what happened.They told me they checked their inventory, and how it was double counted....blah blah.....of course they wont admit it. the pills were stolen. Worst pharmacy I've ever used. After a long wait (2 people on line, about 12 behind the counter) they show confusion at the fact that I don't need a new glucometer, just test strips. It takes them 20 min to understand "I don't need it. I have one, just test strips, please" (which fyi are not even prescription unless using insurance). Im am asked to wait multiple times while it sinks into their thick skulls. Eventually called back up to be told my insurance doesn't accept them as a pharmacy. Excuse me? I selected them based on that. Whatever, I am in a rush, as I'm 8 months pregnant and due for a sugar testing with my test strips. I will pay cash. They proceed to say, minimum 4 times, "Do you know how much this is?!?" even though same person already told me $200. Yeah, so what. They kept repeating it. So sorry you people work here and are poor, but can I get my strips NOW, I've spent thousands on this pregnancy, i don't give a crap about $200. It comes to $178, and they're still dragging ass to check me out. i was in there 45 min to get 1 box of test strips on a thursday morning that was dead. I got home, called my insurance, and they confirmed that was a lie, of course they take ALL national chain pharmacies, including CVS, and didn't know what they were talking about.
