Caitlin at drug world is so fantastic and approachable!!!! I had 2 urgent requests from my children at a camp nearby and she was on top of it!y child's slides broke and it was the only pair he had, after the camp measured his foot, Caitlin hand delivered Crocs to him and now he is able to continue playing and having fun! My little one had long hair and wrote to me that she is out of detangler, Caitlin sprung right in and now my daughter has what she needs. Bought a travel nail clipper from here that turned out to be clearly defective - returned to the store 3 weeks after buying with the receipt and original packaging - not for a refund, but to pay the difference on a better, more expensive one - only to be flatly refused. I was told they had a 2 week return policy (not on the receipt). This was during the holidays when a lot of people travel. Just unacceptable, small minded, non-customer friendly experience. read more

Drug World of Cold Spring does not fill prescriptions on a first come, first serve basis. They are very clear that it is company policy to decide how they want to use their inventory. My doctor called and they told him they would fill my prescription- then I went to the store and they said they could...but wouldn't as they are expecting more regular customers to come in with prescriptions and they were saving their inventory for those customers. My 10 year old was with me and was in complete shock as the way the pharmacist behaved. The owner did call me and apologize for the way the pharmacist behaved and assured me there was no religious, economic or other discrimination underlying their decision not to fill my prescription. Nonetheless, they will still not waste their inventory on me. So much for trying to support a local business (where I have shopped for 10 years). I will never step foot inside drug world ever again. read more

I went to Drug World Pharmacy to pick-up a prescription and then I realized that I have a technical problem with my insurance company. I spent a week waiting for that problem to get fixed..."Nada". After a week I met with Jo'Ann Marie Caban, RPH at the pharmacy and she gave me the best help I can get to fix that technical problem. Stopped in here so my husband could get his eye exam for the DMV which is apparently a new thing and we were pleased to find it could be done locally. Service was fantastic and everyone was super friendly. What really impressed me was the amount of merchandise they carry. Everything from cards to gifts to toiletries and lots of extras. I fell in love with a beautiful handbag and a lovely journal. I had no idea they had so much and I think the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back! Wish I'd known sooner! read more

I was in New York on a trip and was severely sick with a chest racking cough that was going to ruin my trip. I stopped into this cute little pharmacy and asked for help getting ahold of my doctor in California. They dropped everything and got on it. It was difficult because the cough medicine I needed refilled was a narcotic. They handled it with ease and kindness. While I waited I walked around and bought several super cute things. I got a darling bracelet and a few cute gifts. This store had so many things I liked! Good buying guys! Anyway, after just a few minutes I was on my way. Super kind, super caring and I wish they were in my home town, I would love all my rx there! Love this place ! read more

I experienced a severe back problem when I first moved to Cold Spring so I set up an account over the phone thinking I would need the delivery service. About a week later i got a call telling me my prescription was ready.I HAD NEVER GIVEN THEM ONE! One other time I figured I would use them for a re-fill and they couldn't find the order.Totally mixed up. I continue to use my fantastic pharmacist in Fishkill-15 minutes away-THE MEDICINE SHOPPE. I recently moved to the area & figured I would give this place a shot since they were so close to my new home. I've never used a small local pharmacy before and was skeptical in general. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they do carry the meds I use and even offer delivery. I was most impressed by the owner who picked up the phone after being on hold. Mark just wanted to introduce himself to me and acquaint me with their service and who my pharmacist and manager would be. Small town living obviously has its perks! read more

Drug World is my go to store for prescriptions, gifts, cards, jewelry,etc. It's a store that has it all. The personnel are wonderful people. It's a place you know everyone by their first names & they know you. The manager, Sharon, is an amazing employee. She works very hard making sure that the employees are doing their jobs. Sharon displays the products with great thought so the customer can see them upon entering the store. Sharon is pleasant and kind when taking care of customers. I give Sharon 5 stars for being a great Manager. read more

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. Have we been to the same store? I've been filling prescriptions at Drug World with no problems since I moved here a year and a half ago. I use the automated phone service for refills and they're always ready at the promised time. The staff is generally friendly, pleasant, and efficient. My only complaint is that the selection is smaller and the prices are higher than in large chain stores, so I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here. I live within easy walking distance so it would not be worth my time or money for gas to drive to the CVS Peggy C. mentions. read more
