A 24-hour CVS can be a lifesaver if you need a restroom in the early hours of the morning. While driving through Peekskill, NY on a business trip, I found myself desperately needing one around 5 a.m. I was originally searching for a Starbucks or Dunkin', but a co-worker informed me that CVS has public restrooms. Sure enough, I was able to use their restroom. It was fairly clean for a public restroom, but unfortunately the soap dispenser was empty--only hand sanitizer was available. I was too exhausted at the time to bring it up to staff. Note: I'm deliberately using the correct word restroom--not "bathroom," since there was no bathtub. At 17, during a senior class trip to France, I asked for the bathroom location in a restaurant, and a few French people responded that Americans use the word bathroom instead of restroom when looking for a public toilet, and I have never forgotten that! I have been using the word "restroom" ever since! I'm giving this CVS four stars, deducting one for the lack of soap. read more

This is the worst CVS I've ever been to. Every single person working here could not be slower if they tried. No eye contact when dealing w/ customers, zero sense of urgency or concern when there's 15 people waiting for their scrips. I just waited 15 minutes only to be told the scrip they had texted me was ready was out of stock. By the way, the guy in front of me went thru the same thing. The guy was like, "Yeah that's out of stock, it'll be ready Tuesday." I said, you just texted me to cone get it. He's like we also texted you it was out of stock, so he lied to my face. Add in their new infuriating policy of only taking messages and then calling back at their convenience?! Um, I work in construction. I can't take phone calls when I'm in a 25 foot tall ladder or under someone's house. I called yesterday and used the provider button and the pharmacist yelled at and hung up on me! In all my years- and Im 75- I have never met an employee of CVS that was more intelligent-helpful-caring-responsible than Wen. Normally nobody helps and puts the problem back on the customer. Not Wen. She called the insurance company and got everything straightened out. She didnt just say " well you will have to call and find out" She was remarkable. Wish you had more employees like her. I had a very rough start to my day when i walked in to pick up a print that i sent in 2 hours prior, and nothing was done for it to begin being printed. I was told by someone they had to wait for an order that came in after me to finish printing (400 photos) and there was nothing they could do. Vin came over and asked me what was going on, and was so beyond helpful. I needed the photo for a wake and was in a very big rush. He was able to print my photo at the same time the others were printing, and had it cut and ready in 5 minutes. He was an absolute life saver and im so thankful he was there to help me with this. He was able to ring up 3-4 customers in the time that he was also helping me. He was extremely kind and I'm so grateful he was able to help me out. Thank you so much again Vin! read more

I was in the hospital near by, my Dr. Called in my medication in front of me by leaving voicemail to your system. After few hours I went there and they told me that they did not receive any orders for me. And with a smirk on their faces they are " check with your Dr again" Most probably the kids who is working there deleted the voice mail. STOP messing around with people's medication/ health. read more

Always a long wait. Phone calls are usually not answered or you're placed on hold for a long time. Overpriced--prices are not competitive. CVS is a monopoly, so there's really not many other local pharmacies available. read more

Was shopping there and overheard a young lady at the pharmacy counter berating a lady for wearing a thin blue line bracelet. The lady happened to be a police officer. She respectfully replied to the employee that she was offended by her rude behavior. The employee retorted, that is offensive because of you know, the movement. Not wanting to hear another word out of that ignorant employee I decided to take me business elsewhere and left. I couldn't stop thinking how improper to say the least this employees behavior was. Drive through is the fastest way for your medication. Many times I've come after a doctors appointment and they will process my order right away. They offer different ways to refill such a texting-pretty convent. They also helped me Resolve an issue with my medication and explained it in terms I could understand read more

The prices here are not that good - you can get whatever you need at much cheaper prices at any of the neighborhood grocery stores. None of the good Easter candy ever makes it to half price, either. They also don't know the meaning of "have more than one cashier up front when there's a line" queueing theory. This CVS is better than the one in Mohegan Lake because you can get birthday cards en español. read more

Lines get long enough if you come at prime time. Pharmacy counter staff is neither friendly nor unfriendly but I guess if you deal with miserable customers all day that takes a toll on your mojo. Recommend with reservations, most other pharmacies in Peekskill are worse. read more

OK hate to have to update this so soon after giving them a little bit of a pass but I had another RX sent in electronically by my Dr's office last Friday and I noticed I never got a text update saying I had an RX being filled or one being ready for pick up so I called and they didn't have a record of it. I know my Dr sent it in because when speaking to them about it with them I asked a question about how it was being filled and they had to look at the RX in order to answer it. Called my Dr's office and told them what CVS said, same thing as a few days ago a few hours later I get a call back saying they are sure they sent it in but they called CVS to make sure and got the same story as I got from CVS so they verbally gave it to them again. I placed a photo order and wanted to confirm they received it (I knew it was too soon for it to be ready, just wanted to know it went through) because the last time I placed a photo order here they didn't receive it and didn't have the photo collage I ordered. This diva couldn't even be bothered to go look. She was smug and told me yup go wait on that line over there. You know the long line because they never have enough cashiers on. She was standing 3 feet from the photo station. She actually walked past it to go do something else. Absolutely AWFUL customer service in the pharmacy!! They left me on hold for 45 minutes at 11:00 at night and then told me to call back in a half an hour because they were BUSY... after all that they informed me that they couldnt help me with my question. Ok, I've been using this pharmacy for decades and it gets worse and progressively slower each year. My doctor called in 3 prescriptions for me yesterday mid morning and I had to call 4 times before noon today to find out what's going on. I understand there's a pandemic but this is the second time in less than a month this has happened. These medications are very important since I'm COVID positive and yes fully vaccinated so I am quarantined until mid next week. I had someone getting the medication for me and realized 1 was not eligible for prepaid pickup. So I called the pharmacy to see if I could give them payment over the phone and the girl tells me no my answer was that I have done this several times in the past less than two years with a family member and had no issue my answer was well if you'd like since I'm Covid positive I could come up there and pick it up myself. I have done over the phone payment at least 9 times since April of 2020. Bottom line, next time I'll just go get it myself contagious or not. read more

The store is great that they are 24 hours. However during peak hours- the lines can be lengthy. The pharmacy department is another matter. I've only met one pharmacist who wasn't a complete moron. I never see her anymore which means she got smart and left. All the others are rude, incompetent and the worst customer service ever. I thought they were supposed to be helpful, not rude and condescending. Transferring my remaining scripts. Had more then enough. read more
