I visit Walmart several times a week with positive results reasonable prices and customer service is good. HOWEVER, It's disgusting that they are letting dogs inside and see them in the carts ! I went in to buy a scale. I asked one employee where to look because it was not in housewares. She just pointed and walked away (no idea where she was pointing). I googled where it would be myself and it said pharmacy section. Asked 2 employees where it would be... neither of them spoke any English!!!!! I had to type scale into their phones. Hey, this is John. I'm trying to control myself because I'm so angry. We tried to order a heating pad, and a set of sheets from this store in Mohegan Lake. Then our credit card Would not go through. This was an error. I called and waited online forever after finally getting through the robots they actually had the nerve to tell me that I have to connect our savings account to their corporation in order to order anything. I immediately said that's a crazy policy. I'm not ordering anything from you again I will never do that. You have no right to have access to my bank account. You know the usual logical saying answer to such a stupid, Corporate response. Another question I had was why do you still have our credit card on file when we never gave you permission to have that They don't know. What do they know? Serves us right for ordering from this wretched store. They treat their workers horribly no health insurance all part-time I could go on and on, but you can look it up for yourself. We're waiting to contact our bank because both of us might have heart attacks about being so angry that any corporation would ask for direct access to our personal banking account. Every corporation knows everything about you is got nothing to do with national security as we keep telling you. They figure we're a little bit older, maybe we're nuts. Decent enough Walmart. I've been to Walmarts in multiple states (unsure if I should even admit that sad fact) and while there's some decent ones out there, most of them are usually putrid. If you've been to one Walmart, you've basically been to them all as far as prices and stock, with some small differences. The shelves were decently maintained and they had what I needed, so I can't complain. The same issues that most other locations have are evident here - from bad, unfriendly employees to long lines and limited cashiers. Another aspect of Walmarts in general are the customers and usual characters this brand tends to attract and it was no different when I was there. Despite how you might feel about the brand, the customers, the employees, the mismanagement these stores tend to have, there is no complaining about the prices and at times convenience. Considering other locations, this one is good in comparison. This is currently the only Walmart in Westchester county (upper Westchester at that, close to the Rockland border), so it does have that distinction. There are other Walmarts if you drive farther, over a bridge, or into Connecticut or Northern Jersey - but trust me when I say, that compared to some of those other locations, this is much better. Located in the busy Cortlandt Town Center, while there is plenty of parking, the lot can be madness at times - especially the spots closer to the front. A lot of terrible drivers were in this lot at the time I was there, so use caution and have patience. Overall, a decent Walmart and certainly better than some of its sister stores in a drivable distance. Yes, it's a Walmart and all the same issues these chains tend to have, but still decent and one I'd return to if needed. Bring your patience and lowered expectations with you and you'll be fine. read more

I was entering this store this morning about 6:05AM. I see Myra, who is some type of manager, although I can't figure out why. She was pushing an overfilled shopping cart towards the customer service desk where there were other carts that were filled. As I'm walking in the door, a shopping cart goes flying in front of me and she was walking towards self checkout. Problem is that she looked directly at me while I was walking towards the door! I guess 4 stars are generous, but I can never say I haven't ever found what I was I intending to buy at Walmart. The store is brightly lit, isles well marked with, currently, social distancing markers patterned among the isles. Certain items aren't abundant( cleaning products / paper goods), but you CAN find an equivalent substitute. The cashiers should pay more attention to what's occurring in front of them. She piled all my items on the top of the bagging carousel only to have items fall on her side clueless to this occurring. Had I not noticed, I would have paid/not received my items. Parking lot is becoming a medical waste land(gloves/masks) noting broken liquor bottles with glass shatters randomly around. Unsure if this is Walmart's responsibility. Walmart Lake Mohegan has the Worst. Customer. Service. EVER. Ordered an air fryer online on Friday, November 18 to pick up at Walmart Lake Mohegan on Saturday, November 19 between 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Received an email early this morning that my item "will be ready for pick-up" and to arrive at Walmart Lake Mohegan between two and three o'clock in the afternoon. Endured 2.5 hours of traffic and was then told by John Paul in the "Pick Up" area upon arrival at two o'clock in the afternoon that not only was the item not ready, but also to, "Come back in two hours." HUH? Returned an hour later, after 3:00 pm, and while waiting, received this email: "Sorry, your item isn't available. Your order has been canceled." This is absolutely outrageous. I asked to speak with a manager and was informed "Pat" in the "Pick Up" area was gone for the day. John Paul went to find a manager, and returned with "Curt," who wore a shiny yellow label under his name that read, "Coach." Curt was extremely rude, raised his voice, and snuffed, "There's nothing I could do!" before walking away. Curt could coach employees on how NOT to interact with customers based on his unprofessional behavior. I was stunned. Shame on Walmart Lake Mohegan. Stay far away. read more

I had to walk around literally the entire store to find what seemed like the only employee who was available to ask a question. To get a shopping cart I had to walk to the back of the parking lot because none of them were being returned to the store. Meanwhile this company made $166 BILLION in gross profit this year. Went to this Walmart with my 6 year old nephew to purchase fluorescent lights on 7/31/24. After getting the lights and walking back I was stopped by security asked if I needed help. This confused me because my nephew was just looking at life vest, which as a 6'4" man I could easily reach. I immediately knew that this security was following me and watching me in the store because after I told him no he proceeded to say on his Walkie "safety safety". Walmart sold me two pools and charged my credit card on 4/23/20. Once the item arrived and was awaiting pickup notification, the items got "lost". I'm sure the items, being popular and not easy to find, were siphoned off by someone who wanted them. A customer service rep. provided a trailer number of their supposed location and sent us on a wild goose chase to the Mohegan Lake store, only to be told there are no trailers there. I was told to call and speak to another manager the next day. A waste of time- 3 weeks for shipping, a trip to the store during Covid, several long phone calls that required a whole lot of patience and mystery remains. So either someone walked off with the product or the freight company is thumbs down. I would give 0 stars if I could. Everytime I'm here it's like no one wants to work. It's like you're bothering them. Also they say they close at 11pm however I went there to pick up medicine for my baby as he was running a fever. I got there at 10:50pm. Don't worry the price tags on the shelf MEAN NOTHING. Was in there today and bought a 10 1/4" cast iron pan. It was priced as 21.?? In the sporting goods area and priced at 17.92 in housewares. Sine they did NOT have enough cashiers (3 or 4) open I went to self service. I ring the pan up and it comes up as 19.90. WHAT. I CALL over the monitor and was informed that the price tags above or below the items do not mean anything it's only what the computer says, I informed her I had a picture of the item with price ,showed her the price, she said SO WHAT ITS THE COMPUTER PRICE THAT COUNTS. I said that's not right let me talk to a manager, and she said that won't help, I told her let's try because it's not right and this will CERTAINLY hold up the line.. she said if I Have too I'll mark it down.
