Unfortunately this is the closest Walmart for me. Customer service was lacking. The woman helping me return seemed disturbed that I didn't have the original box the item came with. I told her I didn't know I have to bring the original box, and she starts complaining that no one ever knows. So she starts looking for a box for my item and complains all her boxes are too big. I end up finding a bag in my purse that could be used for my item. I have to wait minutes for her to finish packing my item and she THEN processes the return. I'm not sure why she couldn't pack the item after I left. I then ask her, if I didn't find a bag, would I be able to return my item and get a refund. She said yes. So basically you don't need to bring any packing materials for third party sellers. This parking lot has carts parked crazy everywhere so park far! The few times I feel compelled to shop here have each reminded me how bad retail can be.

Very disappointing. The store is dirty, poorly maintained, store manager ineffectuve, today at the entrance like many times the dispensers for hand sanitizer remain empty. You are required by law to wear a mask but yet they fail to protect the consumer from their dirty shopping carts. Walmart remains open while small businesses remain closed. First problem, all the cars in the customer pick up parking section are empty. They are in the store shopping! Walmart employee response: "We can't be responsible for the parking lot". Why have the spots if no one is going to enforce it? Second problem ,one third of what I ordered was not included, ( was not charged). Third problem: I go into the store the majority of what was not included is on the shelves! I also purchased other items, go to check out - no paper bags. The cashier is hard selling their overpriced bags! There is a shopping cart full of empty boxes. I asked can I have two. - " no we cannot give boxes to customers." So Walmart the largest retailer in the US has no paper bags and cannot give customers empty cardboard boxes that they are going to recycle? I won't waste my time and energy on this store. So, to try to save some time and delivery person carbon I decided to pick up an order at this Walmart location. Big mistake, huge. I mention to the delivery runner that all of the cars around me were empty yet parked in the pickup spaces, and I mean all 6 to which she laughs and says they really shouldn't be. Ok. As I drive off, I decide to make sure everything is there before I exit and sure enough, the garbage can is missing the lid. Ok, park back in the pickup spot, still surrounded by empty cars, call and tell them the problem, she comes out and then this lady disappears for ONE SOLID HOUR. I have to make 3 or 4 phone calls where the people answering the phone refuse to come out of the store to process the return and act like I should have no issue waiting this long for someone to come out and help me. I literally met this 'service' rep lady in the lobby after I gave up after ONE SOLID HOUR of waiting and was going to return it at the desk. And honestly, there wasn't an ounce of politeness left in me by that time. The people that parked in the pickup spots had shopped in the store and left by the time this lady decided to show up and do her job. Who the hell has an hour to wait while you look for a garbage pail lid? And why the hell weren't you good enough at your job to notice it was missing in the first place? If I had an hour to wait, why wouldn't I have shopped in person, is that such a difficult concept for the 4 different people that answered the phone, including alleged manager Andrew, to grasp? It wasn't bad enough that the customer had to bring your attempted fraud to your attention but they also had to wait ONE SOLID HOUR for you to take any action? So, fool me once and so forth, this location is just the absolute pits for honesty and any shred of customer service. Just spend the carbon and get it shipped. read more

The worst Walmart I have ever experienced. The parking lot is filthy, the shelves are empty, I can't get help from the workers, checkout line took for ever. 2 cashiers were open. Two items that I wanted were locked up with the keys not able to be found by associates. This store clearly needs new management. read more

What can I say? It's a Walmart. They have cheap stuff and lots of it. They don't hassle you if you have a return, but don't expect expert help from employees either. It's in a convenient location, and it's open till midnight, so it's easy to spend your hard earned money here. You can buy everything from batteries to bagels, baby clothes to hunting gear. As far as Walmarts go, I suppose this is a pretty nice one. I've never seen anything remotely worthy of taking a photo of to submit to PeopleofWalmart.com, and I'm guessing that's because it's in Westchester. But still, it is Walmart. And this place, though recently renovated and changed around into something that I'm assuming is supposed to mimic classy non-Walmart shopping, can be really disorganized and dirty and overwhelming. This place is pretty much the standard Walmart by unfortunately this is not a supercenter like most Walmarts I've been to. The issues I have here are that some of the merchandise is not actually low price here like Electronics and TV's you can do some research online and find yourself a better deal. Also the store does not look clean floors are absolutely disgusting looks like something has been spilt a long time ago once they removed the shelves I seen worse but not the best either. Overalls I prefer Target over Walmart because they have a much better selection than Walmart. I may not be coming here anymore. read more

I cannot express how much I hate Walmart, as a store and as a corporation. Associates barely speak English and I need to be thankful I know enough Spanish to skate by. The employees are visably miserable and the store is always a train wreck. There's always a long line down the aisle when they have only two or three registers open but other employees are just standing around, doing nothing in the store, away from the scary register and pissed off customers. Terrible look inside, things are out of place and just look nasty. Being inside makes me feel like Apocalypse hit and that's the only Walmart left with supplies. It's dirty and clearly under staffed. I purchased a dvd cleaner, once I figured out, that it no longer work for a regular DVD. I decided to return it to the nearest Walmart which was Cortlandt. I was told by the salesperson at another Walmart that this DVD cleaner would work in my DVD but it's specified on the sheet that is only for Blu-ray DVDs. I went to return it and they would not return it and give me my full refund back because I had already open the DVD cleaner. I would have thought that being a valued customer, they would return it or either give me a store credit. They did not accommodate me with my return. I never had a problem with Walmart before as far as returning anyting that was already opened. Not sure if I were to purchase anything, unless I know for sure that if I open it I can return it. read more

She told me that dogs where not permitted in the store. She did not ask if it was a Service Dog. I displayed my Service Dog's Federal Disabilities Act (ADA) credentials which she would not accept. She also kept asking what the disability was. Not allowing me to enter and keep asking about the disability is ILLEGAL and Protected by the Federal Disabilities Act (ADA) I am with a ADA lawyer whom has suggested that I inform you first of what has occurred before we file a law suit against Walmart of Mohegan Lake and Kelly Ann. A response from Walmart within 48 hours is requested. read more

Recently very disappointed and frustrated with the photo department. One of the kiosks had already run out of photo paper, and the kiosk I was using soon ran out of photo paper as well. It managed to spit out 10 photos, but I was waiting on 9 more. When I asked an employee nearby if she knew who was working the photo department to help me out, she said someone would be there at 5:30. It was already 5:30, and my boyfriend had already been waiting for about 20-30 minutes after asking someone else. It seems to me that the managers are NOT on top of their employees and their scheduling, and truly don't care at all about genuine customer service. Not only that, but this store's incompetence and lack of attention cost them money. I left with 10 photos after 40 minutes of waiting, because no one came around to help, nor to print me a receipt. Not only is this store very poorly run (long lines, understaffed, under-stocked, broken merchandise, lots of merchandise missing parts/pieces/instructions/etc., terrible customer service department, and the list goes on....), but they also use and sell glue traps! Regardless of whether an animal is considered a "pest" or a "pet", no animal deserves to starve to death, break limbs, suffocate, or die of dehydration while they try desperately to free themselves from a glue trap. There are humane (no-kill) ways to deal with unwanted rodents or other animals, and any person with an ounce of empathy or compassion within them would not subject any animal to such terror, pain, and unwarranted death. I have seen mice on several occasions struggling to get free, squeaking in pain and terror, dead, and even decaying in glue traps. I spoke with an employee that had been reprimanded for trying to free a mouse from a trap and bring it outside, he was threatened to be "let go" if it happened again. I even spoke with management, and after several complaints by myself and others, I was told they would stop using the glue traps. This was over a year ago and the traps are still everywhere. If the idea of mice running around your Walmart seems unsanitary, imagine how unsanitary a bunch of dying and dead mice are! They do not "clean" these traps every day, week, or month no matter what they may claim. There are humane and affordable methods of getting rid of unwanted animals that don't involve torture. Tell Walmart to stop selling and using glue traps! read more

This might actually be what hell is like. I ordered something for my son online for store pick up. The next day I received an email saying it was ready, headed over and that's when the fun began. Waited over an hour to try and get an answer as to where my stuff was, took 3 associates (no manager, she said she was going to take her lunch break then help me.... wtf) to find out that they claim I had come and returned it? I tried to explain that I had just got to the store and it was impossible but they said I needed to sign for the original pick up and then for the return, I still tried to explain that there was no item there. They talked in circles for another 15 before I had to walk out. Still fighting with Chase to get refunded, and I'm pretty upset that one of their workers probably walked away with my sons new toys. Also customer service call center made no sense too, got 3 different answers during the 30 mins I spent with them. Save your sanity and don't even think of going anywhere near this store read more

Incompetent staff! Disorganized store! Lines are always long because they're understaffed. I always get stuck in the "express" lane because the staff doesn't care, so they let people with full carts check-out there and hold up the entire process. Very frustrating! Walked out with a bottle of suntan lotion at 12:34 PM. One person in front of me getting four boxes. Completely disorganized employee. Disappeared into the stock room for 5 minutes at a time. The last time she didn't realize the customer had already picked up the package himself and placed it in his cart. The worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I'm in my mid 30's and not once have I ever had an argument with anyone working at any of the the stores I visit. 1. I arrived to return 2 items that I did not use for Christmas. I have never returned anything at walmart as I do not shop there often. I see a bunch of signs that are talking about "Sending money or Money grand" or whatever, so I get off the line and I asked the lady working there if this is the line to return your items, she answered me with an attitude "Yes, why?" 2. It's finally my turn, I gave the "Assistant manager, I believe her name was Suzzane or Susana" my receipt, she scans it and scans one of my items and asks again "where is your receipt." I told her you have it, I just gave it to you, then she says that I purchased the items on Walmart.com and that the item is not showing up on her computer. I told her to scan the other bar codes because when I purchased the items, the cashier had scanned a few of those bar codes. Her answer was "No, those aren't the bar codes, only this one is the bar code" then she calls her co-worker and she tells me that they will give me $17 for something that I payed $49.99 for. Like are you out of your damn mind? I got freaking mad and told them that I wanted my whole amount and that they had my receipt and they can read the description of the items which were the exact same items that I was trying to return. The assistant manager then started to tell me not to get mad (which she had an attitude to begin with and then wants me to stay calm) or I will have to leave the store and that I purchased these items on walmart.com and not there and that they will give me the discounted refund for the items. Her coworker comes back again and says "You had an attitude since you were standing in the line." I mean really? How the hell you tell me I had an attitude? Because I freaking asked you if this is where you return your items? Forgive me for never returning anything at this or any other walmart before. And instead of having signs everywhere about sending money to people, why don't you post signs about "customer service/returns desk"? Then the assistant manager jumps again and tells her to just scan the items and if they don't show up then that's it there is nothing they could do. Basically telling me, take your crap and get the hell out of here because we've decided not to help you. The coworker does it, scans the items fast and then says these items aren't here and says there is nothing we can do. I tell the assistant manager that I wanted to speak with a manager and she says that she is the manager. Then I asked her "so then I stole these items?", because how the hell did I purchase these things here and they aren't showing up. She finally decides to check on the other bar codes, and WOW, guess what, they do work. All of this could've been avoided if they weren't so incompetent and arrogant with bad manners, if you had only checked the other barcodes right away when I told you to because I obviously saw the cashier scanning these codes when I made the purchase. I ended up getting a full refund for everything but they kept telling me that I shouldn't be so mad and that if I start my new year like that, my wole year will end up being the same way. Not once did they apologized for being so rude, making a mistake, not checking the barcodes or anything. I had never had a single issue returning anything anywhere and to be tag teamed by an "assistant manager" and her coworker it's unreal. One more incompetent than the other, All I was thinking was "how the hell did this person reach the assistant manager level." Yes, next time you don't want someone mad, don't scan an item that a customer payed a full price of $49.99 and then tell them that they will only get $17 back. read more

This Walmart is by far the worst Walmart I have been to. The employees mostly know Spanish, if I didn't take a Spanish course in school I would have no idea why they are saying. I still barely know what they are saying too... It's just frustrating that I can't ask about a specific item without getting into a long confusing conversation. The lines are LONG when I arrive at Walmart there is usually only like 4 registers open when there are a load of customers. This Walmart's shelves has barely any merchandise. The worst experience I had here was when two customers were fighting, because one skipped the other on the line or something, they were yelling like maniacs at each other. There were a few Walmart employees but they didn't do anything. Another customer had to go and separate the people fighting.
