With all the reviews mentioning rude service, that wasn't our case. Yes, there were no floor associates at this Macy's located inside the Jefferson Mall in Yorktown Hghts- so if you had any questions, you're fending for yourself on this one. Regardless of what is offered- and the little bit that's around, this location is depressing. Quite honestly, this is more about appearances than anything for me. The layout, the empty spots- where even if you've never been here, you'd imagine racks full of clothes PC (Pre-COVID) or before this company started closing some stores- just brought my mood down. I get it, this Macy's is all this neighborhood has and I get it. But we managed to purchase our goods at a good price and headed right on out. read more

Well, in the many years coming here, which has been a long time, I've never seen it this dead. With the mall in its condition, in terms of it being in the dying stage (almost becoming a deadmall), it kind of makes sense. The layout of the store looks like didn't get a major renovation, even though it might have gotten a minor. Most of the departments seemed to be in great shape for the most part - not too messy and even well-organized. I'm happy to see it in good shape. Not too many workers were found on the sales floor, which wasn't a big surprise for the most part. With it not being too busy, I can see making that slide. I don't see this Macy's lasting too much longer in how it looks and its foot traffic. read more

Luggage at 50% off plus another 15% and THEN another 15% coupon! This really brought the cost down for the Samsonite wheeled travel suitcase we needed. The luggage section was pretty well organized by product line, and I did not need any sales assistance, so this was a pretty quick in and out. read more

My wife never liked this Macy's, but I held up hope, until yesterday. Generally, customer service here is not very good. In the case of our experience yesterday, it is horrible. We waited for help at the makeup counter for a while, then gave up. We returned later and got the attention of a sales associate chatting with another at the perfume counter. She came to help a couple of minutes later ( no rush). There was another customer waiting nearby and the sales associate told her, "You'll have to be patient. Someone else will be here soon." She was dismissive and I think that was rude. Certainly not concerned with giving the customer the best experience. I chatted with another gentleman also waiting for makeup, he was totally disgusted with the service at this store. The sales associate took care of my wife's sale, requiring some extra effort along the way. Overall, a terrible experience and a strong argument for shopping on line. I lost my case and have given up hope. My wife has been right. This Macy's misses the mark. read more

This store is showing it's age. Rugs are dirty and torn where counters have been moved or removed giving the store a rundown, disheveled appearance. Add to that the fact that you have to go looking for a register that is staffed by someone and it makes for a less than appealing shopping experience. Why do I go? Because as a 55+ year old man (OK, 60+), there aren't many places left to shop in Northern Westchester. read more

Took the wife to Macy's cosmetic department to replace three things that she ran out of at the Clinique counter. We were never happy with the service as the sales ladies were always pushy and trying to sell you more items than you wanted. This time it was even worse. The saleswoman was rude and insulting, basically telling my wife that she had ugly skin (she doesn't) and needs to buy more (expensive) products. Of the three products, she only got two because this particular sales person had little knowledge of the Clinique product. This ruined our day. The odd thing is that all these ladies are old wrinkled and frankly not pleasant to look at themselves, yet they put on airs like they are all top models. Where is the management in this place? If you exist, get some sales people with interpersonal skills so you don't lose customers for all of Macy's like you have now lost us. read more

out of all the macys, this is quite honestly the worst. it's small, disorganized and you can hardly every catch a smile on the staff. i only go here because it's close to home. other wise i go to danbury, palisades or poughkeepsie. read more

Shopped here today, and got some GREAT bargains. Victoria in the petite department was very friendly and helpful. She even offered to find and order something for me in another size that I can't wait to get delivered to my house. I'd give this store a 4 star rating, but I was unable to use the Macy's ap when I was shopping because the Macy's free Wi-Fi signal was too low. I think that Wi-Fi signal boosters would solve that problem. I'll be back. Not a huge Macy's by any means, but they have a nice selection of merchandize in this store. Happy Shopping. :). read more

I got caught up in the china and crystal department marveling at the selection, design and tradition (and PRICE) represented by the fine housewares on display. Then to the men's department for a white dress shirt and the department in such a state of disarray and the merch picked over and strewn about the floor, I figured I would do much better at Marshall's. Which was, in fact, much more organized and cheaper prices. Macy's management needs to take some of the midtown flagship store's reno funds and hire some badly needed staff at this lagging behind department store. Had a great experience with the manager, MJ (Mary Jane). I found a dinnerware set that was a floor display, so had to be re-packaged, since it was the last one in stock. She stopped what she was doing and helped pack it back into the box for me. This is terrific customer service and I applaud her and the level of service that Macy's trains their staff. This is the worst Macy's ever! I think they get all the leftovers from the other stores. The petite department is strictly for those over 80, elastic waist pants, no style. Countless racks of clearance items that are mostly garbage. It's an insult to the neighborhood. Go to Danbury or NYC if you want to find anything decent. read more
