This pharmacy has gone completely downhill since change of ownership. The staff is not very knowledgeable and at times has even lied about whether a prescription is filled. my family member was very upset and was not getting any cooperation from an employee and while she slipped with a swear word which she did not call the employee and apologized immediately, said employee lied and said he was cursed. The pharmacist reaction was to tell me my family member was "mean" ( a word often used by second graders!) and that we could not call to check to see prescriptions were filled and it was the responsibility of the doctor! The sympathetic pharmacist told me my family member could no longer use the pharmacy and told me he can go elsewhere. What an absolute disgrace! I'll somehow find a way for that pharmacy and the pharmacist to have a complaint against licenses. read more

I use to love this pharmacy there was a sweet young girl at the counter who was incredibly helpful, always making sure I could find everything and just keeping the personal connection that's needed for customer service and a wonderful female pharmacist I believe her name was Ruby who would always take her time to answer any questions I had and in the last few times I've gone in recently I noticed both women gone and that's a shame because ive felt beyond rushed now when I go in. The older lady who helped me with supplies had a bad attitude where I'd rather look for stuff myself and The tall male pharmacist left me waiting for over twenty minutes to ask a question while I could see him walking around basically ignoring me and when I tried to ask the young ladies working with medications they told me It was a pharmacist question and I'd have to wait for the man to come back just for him to tell me that he didn't really have time since he was very busy yet I continuously saw him on the phone! truly service has gone down and it's such a shame because I've raved about this place to friends and it's so upsetting to know they won't be getting the service I once was. What a shame I'd say a new manager is in store before the place really suffers. read more

Maureen was wonderful....accommodating and so helpful. I was in a time crunch for a compression sleeve before a flight. She did everything possible to make it happen in a timely manner. When coming in for a fitting, she gave me quality time even tho I knew her time was limited that day. read more

Horrible customer service, rude staff and poor business mindset as they wouldn't let me exchange a knee brace I purchased for my son, that didn't fit him with my receipt when all I wanted was a different size. Absolute worst pharmacy experience ever. The pharmacist lied to me about an RX being on back order because they didn't want to honor my free co-pay coupon. As much as I like to support local businesses this is the exception. The pharmacist at CVS knows my name transferred the RX and coupon and filled the med in 20 minutes ($0 copay) that was supposedly on back order. Oh and forget about a call or text from Robert Jacobson they probably still have dial up internet. read more

This Family Pharmacy is a precious community anchor. Sevice is caring and professional. The pharmacist takes amble time to explain medications and their side effects and benefits. Also the pharmacist will answer questions as best as possible regarding insurance coverage and very supportive to each customer. Besides medications, this pharmacy carries shower chairs, walkers, and a good assortment of surgical supplies. It is not a chain store with employee turnover. the pharmacists and staff have a generous portion of patience and guidance. Plus their prices have been much lower than most of the other pharmacies! read more

For years Jacobson's has been my go-to pharmacy despite their somewhat limited hours compared to the chains, because Greg was so wonderful; he helped me get my prescriptions when I moved out of the area and always provided excellent, caring service and guidance on non-pharmacy items. Plus I like to support small local businesses. A couple of weeks ago however, my husband went in to pick-up a prescription, admittedly an inexpensive one, and was told "you shouldn't pay for that with American Express, their fees are too high". I'm aware AmEx merchant fees are higher than other credit cards, but it was Not the place of the cashier to tell my husband that he Shouldn't use his AmEx card. If she had asked him, nicely, to pay cash instead of using a credit card that charges them a high fee, I would still be a customer. Since Greg left their service has declined noticeably making it a no-brainer to switch to another pharmacy with more convenient hours, location, and polite staff. read more

I needed a medically necessary post-surgical compression bra but had to wait a week for a call back to schedule an an appointment yet another week away. So, if you can wait days or weeks for what you need, this is the place. I now need to exchange a defective bra, but was told I would have to wait for a call back - apparently only one person can help me and she not back in for the next few days...:-( Very poor customer service based on my experiences...I wish I had gone elsewhere. read more

I try to go out of my way to support small businesses over the large chains, but I can't support this business any longer. Time after time I've had problems with renewals, wrong prescriptions, lack of supplies on hand, etc. it's just not worth the aggravation anymore . I've picked up prescriptions that were not what I usually get, only to be told "that's what we have ". Off to CVS we go. read more

I switched pharmacies because I was told by friends and family how good this pharmacy is. I have been on the same medications for years. Where ever the owner went (Greg) this place has gone down hill and it's only been a month. I was told false info about my doctor sending my medication in. She called it in 2 times. I was treated horribly by the pharmacist. I can say I wasn't very nice back to him and be honest about that. But he has zero sympathy, and is down right mean. 2 weeks ago I would've gave them 5 stars. read more

Have to agree with the first reviewer. This is the kind of nightmare that taints all of health care... angry, hostile people who cannot be bothered to be concerned with the customer. On the plus side, if you need surgical and rehab kinds of stuff, like footpads and ..... more footpads? the place is full to the max, just dont expect ANY help and bring your reading glasses if you are of that age, because the nasty old woman behind the counter will DEFINITELY tell you to read the label yourself. "You CAN read, can't you?" (for best effect, imagine a taunting shrew-like voice redolent with sarcasm and loathing). this woman is such a jerk, actors should go to the pharmacy, ask a simple question and then study her delivery for when they get cast as TOTAL ASSHOLES. Given the time luxury of buying here or getting it on Amazon, (ie., you aren't bleeding out, but could use some gauze pads) Amazon is infinitely, 100 billion to the nth times preferable. read more

Greg has sold the business and Jacobson's is no longer what it used to be. Be very careful. I have been given expired medication and even the wrong medication. You must examine what you've been given and ask questions....which they don't like, by the way. read more

They charge accounts before providing invoices to confirm that amount charging is correct. They charge accounts on multiple dates with suspicious amounts without explanation and without permission. Invoices are "created" by one individual and if they are not there you are told you will have to wait for one. Not to mention you are charged before you receive the requested invoice even when you explicitly give instruction that they are not permitted to charge your account before an invoice is received. This is especially problematic when you need them for insurance reimbursement. The equipment rental process is archaic, hand written "documents" with very little information, and they forget to ask for customer information initially and have to call several times to ask customer for it. They are rude and will harass you about payment, even after you have asked for detailed information about the amounts they want to charge for rentals and fail to provide it. Although they are located across from the hospital I would not recommend using this business as there physical location seems to be the only reason they continue to have business. read more

Excellent specialty pharmacy, great selection of canes, wheelchairs, shower accessories. Pharmacists are are fast and get your Rx done. They will special order anything you might need for your daily needs if you are post surgery or just need aids for a certain disability. read more

I get some scripts filled here occasionally and I've never had a problem. The turn around is always fast and staff is always professional. The store is clean and there is always ample parking. I also like the local feel... it's nice when staff remember you as a customer! read more

I am sorry that this reviewer experienced such rudeness but I have to say I go in every week and have got to know all the staff well. The pharmacists, especially Greg, are amazing and go that extra mile for you. The front desk staff are helpful and friendly. We have been going to Jacobsons for years and the only complaint we've had is that often times we need to make a second trip as they don't have enough of what we need in stock. We love all those who work there. It is almost always so busy that it takes a sense of humor by both customer and their workers to make it a pleasant trip. We have compared prices with CVS and Target and have found them to be cheaper on just about every prescription we need. We've been called when a new prescription is in conflict with an old one as a precautionary measure. We put our trust in this great little pharmacy which manages to thrive while nearly across the street from a CVS. We especially love this "old lady" as referred to in previous reviews (she's younger than we are). She treats us and most others like family. i guess it's all in your approach as a customer. I was prescribed a specialty medication during my pregnancy and was referred to this pharmacy which was able to compound the medication for me in store. The first time I was able to pick it up in person since my doctor's office was right across the way, but I have since been put on bedrest. With the pharmacy 30 minutes away, they are able to mail the medication to me. Both experiences, in person and over the phone, were excellent. The pharmacist came out to answer the questions I had the first time just because he overheard me asking the clerk and was very kind and informative. The young lady who helped me over the phone the second time when I was refilling it was courteous and easy to deal with. I wish this pharmacy was closer to my home b/c I would absolutely use them for all my pharmacy needs, even the non-specialty medications. Our family has used Jacobson Robert Pharmacy for years. I can honestly say that I would never call a "Chain Pharmacy" after dealing with Jacobson. There is a family feel, and everyone is so helpful and friendly. I can not understand the review of someone writing that they are not helpful- I have never experienced this! Besides the counter help, the pharmacists are all so friendly and full of useful information, where I walk out of there saying "now why didn't my own Doctor tell me this?" They actually care that you have accurate information about what you are taking, and go the extra step to point out useful information. There have also been times where we were in need of antibiotics quickly, but could not make it to the store to pick up. It was actually delivered within a couple of hours, and from what I was told, by a family member of the owner. Again, the family feel that has gone through the wayside (down the tubes) with so many businesses. Not Jacobsons!! By the way- if you need a quick last minute gift for someone, they have some nice jewelry/hair/skin products that I find to be very useful, which saves me a trip to the mall! read more
