This department store is a solid, reliable stop when shopping at the mall. It has a wide selection of clothing, shoes, home goods, and accessories, making it easy to knock out multiple shopping needs in one place. The store is generally well-organized, with clear sections and helpful signage, and most items are easy to find without wandering too much. Staff interactions were mostly positive--available when needed without being pushy. Checkout was smooth, and there were decent sales running, which always helps make the visit feel worthwhile. A few areas could use improvement. Some sections felt a bit crowded or outdated, and inventory in certain sizes or styles was hit or miss. During busier times, lines can build up quickly, especially at customer service. Overall, it's a dependable department store that does what it's supposed to do. Not flashy, but convenient, practical, and a good anchor store. read more

Usually have a good experience here. Go in get what we need and head out. This thing with that coffee though... damn! read more

Target - This is a coffee with mold..... - Department Stores Near Me - Newburgh, New York

This Target is the trash of all Targets. I would say they need a few new managers by the amount of issues I see when I walk in the door. The shelves are messy, long lines on the weekends, employees that can't look you in the eye and want to help. I can only imagine the issues I'm not seeing's read more

The perfect replica of every other target out there. Customer service is great, I love how it's perfectly organized, and they always have what I'm looking for. All and all, I love Target as well as the next person. WiFi and phone reception had been horrible, but they seem to have fixed that problem recently. And for this, it hasn't been a hassle for me to use their app, Cartwheel, to get additional discounts on My Cartwheel items. If you currently don't use their app you should, a little discount here and there never hurt anyone. read more

Not my favorite target, it's always a mess and I can never find anyone to help, did I say a mess. Went to the changing room and it looked like a wardrobe bomb went off. read more

Wife & I have taking a real liking to Target over the local walmart. Target is what I call the half way point between totally cheap (i.e. walmart) or relatively expensive (i.e. Macy's). We rather pay a tad more and get out of the store sooner over saving a few cents on the dollar shopping at walmart. This store has only been around for a few years now (I think 5) and it's normally pretty empty for the most part so your shopping experience is relatively pleasant. They have food and drink near check-out along with the photo lab for one hour prints while you shop. Oh and you don't have to pay 25 cents to get a shopping cart. read more

I've never felt compelled to right a review for a Target before, but the experience at this location was just so abysmal I had to. First, you walk in and all the employees are in a group talking with each other. All your is done? Ok fine. But one look and the whole store is a MESS. Everything out of place, things strewn in the aisles... I've been in my fair share of Targets in inner cities to the suburbs and this was the worst I've ever seen. read more

This location had everything we were looking for this day. I like that the aisles are bright and the store isn't crazy busy so it's easy to find what you're looking for We got thru the lines quickly and I like the self check outs. Lines there are usually shorter and I can get out faster even if one or two machines are down. Cashier was nice and when I asked for help they pointed me in right direction. They had the aisle number memorized which impressed me read more

I was calling the electronic part of the store and they weren't not picking up I've been calling for hours. This store is overrated and don't pick up the phone read more

Ok, this Target has gotten better. I remember a few years ago when there was crap all over the place, aisles blocked, it was a joke. Generally, the employees are really helpful, I always find what I need, and it's very convenient. I prefer the Poughkeepsie location since it's in the mall, but this Target is solid. read more

This target is getting better. I truly used to avoid going to this location and actually go to another one farther away, but since the pandemic and wanting to stay closer to home i've been frequenting this one. I try to only go weekday mornings and its not crowded. All of the employees ive come into contact with are super pleasant and doing their best during these hard times. Thanks newburgh target! read more

The plus size section of this store is horrible.. very small section that's ALWAYS such a crowded mess that it discourages you from shopping and what is there is undesirable. The nice clothes are online and it's awful that I just can't walk into my local store and find an outfit or at least separates. There was a time when I looked forward to shopping this store . I hope it gets better read more

I've been into a bunch of Target Stores, so I just had to visit the Newburgh Target here. I had seen the outside of it in the past, and after accepting a Shipt order (then later dropping it) here, I decided the other day that that day was going to be it - the day I saw the inside of the store. But apparently, they weren't well-prepared. The shelves weren't stocked, but were being stocked as I approached some of the aisles. The one aisle I would've had the two products in, had boxes with no one around (they empty from the side) and were still on the pushcart-bed in the "C" aisles. But that's when I decided, maybe I should forget this whole thing and just get stuff for myself. To which point, even that became impossible. I found a few subtle differences between Kingston's store and Newburgh, but the makeup is identical. Only this place wasn't prepared. After getting two Lunchables near the freezers (Kingston keeps these in refrigerated cases), I had to find some Diet Lemon Snapples to which when I asked what aisle held these particular items, they told me the next aisle over - and despite there being regular Snapples there (or Diet Peach), I found no sign of Diet Lemon (single container). (I couldn't even find multi-pack of Diet Lemon.) I looked around for it's competitors, but that too became problematic. I found the regular Lemon Tea (Pure Leaf), but no sign of diet. They had Peach and Diet Peach in the aisles, but sign of the one I really and truly wanted. After getting a container of Pringles (single-serving) crisps, I headed up to the register and lo-and-behold near the self checkout found the Diet Lemon Pure Leaf - a total shocker! I'm sorry I was wearing my Shipt shirt, but after the machine kept asking me for an employee to enter the price, she checked her machine then punched in the price that she felt sounded right (fair for me, too: at 99c). I wrung up the rest of the order and paid both through my Target gift card (which was a whole 'nother ball game in and of itself, forgetting the two cards are separated onscreen) and the remainder in cash (getting back the right change, being 20c over). Maybe it's time for some new management here, because was beyond the worst experience I had had in my Target Store experiences here in the Hudson Valley. Replace your employees who aren't planning to clean up the aisles with cleared boxes and have more employees to stock the shelves. It's time! read more

I love shopping at target, but what makes my shopping experience horrible is having to check out. I am new to using coupons and I swear when I take out a couple coupons I am being watched by everyone around me. The cashier supervisor is eyeing me down, the cashier is making sure my coupon is real like a $100 bill. And I get argued over the coupon policy even though I know what I'm talking about. I tried calling corporate but nobody seems to give a damn. Train the managers to learn better customer service and while you're at it, make them learn the coupon policy. read more

Never had any problems here before but recently had a problem with an item I bought and staff was rude and uneducated on store policy. Called customer service and they told me everything the store did was 100% wrong. Put a bad taste in my mouth and probably will not be back. read more

The two employees I spoke to here were very kind and personable. Decent selection of clothes and sizes. Also a well kept up store. Not much else to say. read more

This is possibly the worst Target on the planet. So many items are out of stock at any given time, the store's shelves routinely look bare. The electronics department is always out of everything, even when their own in-store inventory computer shows an item is in stock. They often use the back corner of the store as additional warehouse space, parking dozens of dollies and carts overflowing with goods in the middle of the aisles there. They finally got self-checkouts, but usually only two of the four machines are working, so the line there is long. I've never seen more than two live cashiers working at the same time, no matter what time of day, so it's not the type of place you can run in and out of quickly. Really, a disaster. Corporate needs to pay a visit. read more

The employees here are so rude. The cashier broke to top of my garbage can off and didn't even bother to try to fix it. Then she tried to hand it to me like it was my problem now. I had to ask her to have someone get another one. Then the other lady that came up was so annoyed that she actually had to work. Then of course since she had to work she took her sweet time getting a new lid. I should have just done it myself. read more

Wow I'm surprised this Target got so many crappy reviews. This is definitely my favorite. Compared to the Poughkeepsie and Middletown stores it is far more clean and organized and never have to wait long on line. If Target gets a big ass food center (groceries) like Walmart has and adds some more employees to their electronics department, they'll have Walmart beat. I love Target. read more

Shocked to see the reviews here! This place is awesome! It's huge! Organized! The employees are sooooo friendly! And for a Thursday evening it was not crowded! I'll be going here for now on rather than the Poughkeepsie location read more

I like Target better than walmart. The place has better cashiers and sales on detergent for washing clothes. Target usually has the items in stock and the place is organized better than walmart. It's nicer on the eyes than walmart.. Walmart nearby looks like a blighted neighborhood. read more

I went in this store several times within the last 6 months. It has to be one of the messiest, most poorly run stores that I have ever been in. Almost empty shelves, stuff all over the floor, the store literally looked like the entire staff had called out sick for a month. I was in shock. I know it is hard to find good help, but what a disaster. I was embarrassed for them. read more

This Target was so GHETTO. One of the caishers was so RUDE to me. In fact I asked a question and made a hand gesture like she was waving me off. She has no common manners at all!!! I am seriously disgusted by this store!!! read more

I loved this target years ago but recently it has been on a decline. Perhaps it has new, worse management? The shelves are mostly empty, most of the time. I shop at target mostly for toiletries and can hardly find what I need recently. Several times now I have checked online to see if what I need is in stock. Every time is shows as "in stock" and provides the exact aisle to find the products, then when I go they are not there. I'm assuming this means they are in the back warehouse and not stocked to the shelves as quickly as they should be? I hope corporate gives this place a big staff makeover soon because something is obviously not working out. Now I have just given up and head further to the much nicer Monroe-Woodbury, NY location where I can always find what I need in the right place on the shelf. read more

Target has excellent weekly sales w/ the ads posted behind glass on the right near the service desk. Sale items clearly marked & easy to locate. Love the bonus Target gift cards on some sales. No palettes of boxes all over the place as you are trying to roll a cart around. Parking lot clear of carts also. Cashiers are friendly & cheerful. Pleasant shopping experience. read more
