A quick trip in to get a new bed for our arrival this week. The selection was good. There are other places for such standard equipment, but we were short on time so this was a very quick trip in and out. For a change, we did not have to deal with a long line because it was Monday afternoon. The system for cashing out has always been one that does not meet the expectation. When they combined all three stores, they should have had more than one check out.

A bit of it still remains from Marshalls until Des Jewelers. There are some stores that are still open that have been there for many years but don't seem to be as busy compared to back then. Also, some stores and restaurants have made changes throughout time, and seem to be successful. A big issue is the parking lot and moving around, not too pleasant, especially on the weekends. Usually, there isn't enough room to move because of traffic and people crossing the street and lot. I find it time-consuming and can be a hassle especially if someone is an inexperienced driver. Pavement can also be improved in most areas as well. Good businesses to check out, but take caution in the parking lot. 2.6/5

If Hollywood ever needs to set a film in the early 80's, this is the place. No need to hire extras, local shoppers will do. (I still see people wearing t-shirts from "Bob's" stores around town, how long ago did they go out of business?!") There is a nice Marshall's at one end and "The Dragon's Den" to care for all your fantasy figurine needs. The main attraction, Price Chopper, definitely draws in a lot of customers, considering it a popular store and also being there for many years. It's gone through some changes throughout time in terms of different stores (with TJ Maxx and Home Goods relocating), renovation, construction, and McDonald's which opened a while ago. The services that are provided seem to be in good shape. Traffic is okay for the most part, but can get busy at the traffic light getting on and off Route 9. Some paving needs to be addressed in the parking lot, which will up my rating a bit.

Aisles are clean and well stocked, the store is brightly lit and much more modern inside. It feels like the selection has improved tenfold compared to the old location. Even the bathrooms received a huge upgrade. Burlington FINALLY got on the queueing bandwagon that TJX stores have, and it improves the checkout experience immensely. No more fighting for a short register line or getting held up by a large order. They also have a quick checkout option if you have 5 or fewer items and are paying with a card. Great thinking! I don't know if the staff can tell the difference between the subtle signs of craftsmanship, Milanese button holes, no taping on the seams of an unconstructed men's jacket, and a schlock job. There are not too many high-end retailers around anymore. Wallach's and Barneys come to mind. There is a lot of high-end, well tailored merchandise. But I didn't see a tailor on site if alterations are needed. Long long ago, in the neighborhood far, far away. I worked at John Wanamaker's in the men's suit department; on commission and salary. Unfortunately, they often function with one cashier so the line does tend to get long at any given time. Dollar Tree prices keep climbing but you can still get cleaning supplies, and most household goods for less than $2. Today I noticed some cleaning supplies, like brooms, mops and dusters priced at $1.50, while foil and plastic wrap are up to $1.75. I don't even head to the aisles marked at $3 and above because I remember when everything was truly $1. Makes you wonder at what point will they have to change their name to Miscellaneous items at Miscellaneous Prices Depot. I may be reaching.. Although, nailing down to the traffic is a big blow, especially at the intersection coming off Route 9 at Barnes & Noble has a strange design, which can be a high risk for an accident to happen. The main parking lot is okay for the most part, but take caution with pedestrians walking around. The roadways at the stores and toward Route 9 are filled with a lot of traffic, and it's no joke how bad it gets. Stay alert and be on the lookout, especially on the weekends and holidays.
