While…read morethey are very friendly and helpful most of the time. there are things that makes a business impractical or in the case of a pharmacy - inadequate. My family has used this pharmacy for years, even tho they have bankers hours. We always prefer smaller businesses to the larger chains. Recently, with an ailing mom, Accucare has really hurt us. We were waiting on an important pain med, and each time we sent relatives to pick up other needed meds, that drug was not included. After validating with the doc that the script was submitted, we sent my neice to get it and a new antibiotic late friday for the weekend. She was turned away without either drug - a problem with insurance? I called frustrated Saturday and found out that the drugs were still inexpensive but the pharmacist was waiting on a call backs from the doc or insurance but no call to us. Now I live an hour away and they close at noon on Saturdays.....I had to do a 2 hour round trip in a rush to get my mom these meds. Each issue was financially meaningless, but the meds critical. So, niceness aside, this is unacceptable in a pharmacy. ESPECIALLY since it is was late on a Friday with such limited hours. Can you imagine? "No we don't have your moms meds and we close soon." We are all moving to one of the larger pharmacies that have longer hours and where they would fill and let you know the new cost if insurance was denied.

Accucare was on the list and was very nearby so we tried them and I'm so happy we did! The comparison between them and a Rite Aid or a Walgreens is like night and day - they're fast, accommodating, informative and treat you like a human being - not just another number on line. We recently purchased a nebulizer for my toddler that her doctor prescribed and upon picking it up, the pharmacist recognized this was going to be for a tiny human and that there was no toddler-sized mask included, so he went and found one in his storage and gave it to us for free so she would be more comfortable receiving her treatments. This place is top notch!

Gave us bad guidance. Then didn't stand by their product. My sister and I took my mom for a…read morewalker, when she started having walking issues. We didn't know what type, or what size. The salesperson rushed us, sold us a product that was the wrong size, and told us we could adjust if we needed to. We spent $200 on a walker. (Ps they don't take Medicare.). Before long we realized the walker was the wrong size. My mom has to bend all the way over the handlebars to use it. We go to adjust it and it's NOT adjustable. We take the walker back, explain the situation and they refused to acknowledge they gave the wrong guidance about the walker size, and it's ability to be adjusted. Now we have a new $200 walker that my mom cannot use. And they offered zero help or resolution.. Won't go back.

There's no reason to have to wait for your arrival in order to get your prescriptions filled. My family and I transferred all of our prescriptions out. (Their co-pays are noticeably lower!) I fully support local, independent businesses; however, in good faith and with much heartfelt sadness, I can no longer recommend Baker's Pharmacy. The complaints and experiences shared by current customers whether it is wait times at the store, unnecessary and lengthy delays for medications to be ordered, or being told to go elsewhere after being loyal customers for years truly breaks my heart. I've heard so many stories...their once stellar reputation is tarnished now. I truly hope the business turns around and once again flourishes, becoming a pillar of first class service for the community.

Another reviewer said that if you are not one of their customers they will not call you for Covid vaccine. That is absolutely not true. I never stepped foot in there before, but they were very gracious about letting me sign up for the vaccine when it was available. And they called me to let me know that they could give me an appointment. I went for my second vaccine yesterday, and everything went smoothly. Very professional. I highly recommend them.
