Trip 4: Here is your prescription for 30 days. I can't give you 90 days because the doctor didn't write a prescription for that. Trip 5: Oh nevermind, the doctor did write a prescription for 90 days. That will be 600 dolllars. Oh you have a GoodRx code? Nevermind 30 dollars. Eventually I got what I needed, but CVS employees did not seem to care about how much I'd need to pay until visit 5, and completely did not see a prescription on at least 2 visits. One star. The store is great however. Well stocked. Fairly priced. Good selection of candy, etc. The pharmacy? Meh.

I found Otafuku Okonomiyaki mix for two servings. I wasn't expecting to find it at Walmart! The company has been around since 1922 and is still family owned. They fed the populace after the war, when things were really bad. I know people who lived it and listened to the stories. I've noticed many foods, on the shelves that used to be found only in specialty and ethnic markets. It's becoming more interesting to peruse the store.

Sure enough, I was able to use their restroom. It was fairly clean for a public restroom, but unfortunately the soap dispenser was empty--only hand sanitizer was available. I was too exhausted at the time to bring it up to staff. Note: I'm deliberately using the correct word restroom--not "bathroom," since there was no bathtub. At 17, during a senior class trip to France, I asked for the bathroom location in a restaurant, and a few French people responded that Americans use the word bathroom instead of restroom when looking for a public toilet, and I have never forgotten that! I have been using the word "restroom" ever since! I'm giving this CVS four stars, deducting one for the lack of soap.

Up in Tannersville I was helped by the pharmacist (Jennifer B, I believe), who was as helpful and kind as I needed. This is the way health care should work. When you call or come into the store, they know you and ask about your family. When they have had a family misfortune or loss, your caring and concern is returned to them because they have become not only essential service providers, but friends that you care about.
