once too many prescriptions wrong and customer service horrible , they need to do better and retrain staff

I too wish there was a no star review. After reading other reviews, horrifying to hear a daughter with diabetes, can't get her medication due to the pharmacy's utter incompetence. After using the Fishkill location for many years, moved closer to this store. Texts are always incorrect, medications never "in stock," though their system says it's ready for pick up. Head pharmacist, always makes you do her job, call your doctor multiple times, to resend the same information, on the same script. As others point out, these medications are often life saving, and yet, not kept in stock. You can risk trusting them to mail it, or was informed their delivery service .... "A guy named Steve, who will drive it to your home for $17.00 fee." It goes beyond bad service, it could be life threatening and while some seem kind, again the head pharmacist, thinks having you do her job, or drive 45 miles to Hyde Park, for a pretty basic script, reasonable" If you care about your family's health, would not trust CVS in Hopewell. read more

Store will not honor your rewards unless you run through a series of bureaucratic hoops.

Save yourself the headache and do not buy gift cards here! I purchased $200 in gift cards on 12/20/21 and had assistance at the register with a clerk. After Christmas, a family member went to use the gift card and it did not have money on it. Turns out that none of the gift cards did. I went back in the store on 12/29 with my receipt so I could get the gift cards activated. The manager told me he could not do that and I had to call an 800 number. I asked him to call in the store and he rudely told me to go call. It is now a month later and CVS has still not refunded the money. Disputing the charge with my bank. Shame on you CVS for the worst customer service! read more

The reviews regarding the pharmacy are true. I went in from some Claritin D and after waiting nearly 20 min I just decided to leave and use the pharmacy at Hannaford. That said, the store itself is what you would expect from a CVS. read more

The store is great but the pharmacy is terrible. The biggest problem is no matter what day or time it is the line to the pharmacy is a mile long. It's always backed up to the middle of the store in an aisle with sex toys and condoms in it. Just the place where you want to stand on line with a small child. My second biggest problem is that I don't appreciate it when picking up my prescription that the man at the pharmacy counter calls out "Heres your narcotics 30 day supply, generic. Do you have any questions for the pharmacist?" I have a chronic pain problem. Does this guy do the same thing to people getting their herpes medication? What about people getting their erectile dysfunction pills? And the guy says it loud enough for half of long line to hear him. I think he enjoys embarrassing people. The rest of the pharmacy staff is ok but they move awfully slow when the line is long. Last time I was in there one of the pharmacy girls with blue hair (which looks extremely unprofessional) was smoking in front of the store while once again the pharmacy line was backed up into the middle of the store. I've had enough of this pharmacy. We have half a dozen other choices in a five mile radius of CVS where I don't have to stand in line in pain for a half hour or more with a four year old while a bunch of kids joke around with each while moving in slow motion. read more

As many have stated the line is long but that's because this pharmacy is so good I have no complaints whatsoever and it always right on if I have to sit and wait for a pill usually no more than 10 minutes if the pharmacy was no good there would definitely be no line waiting for good service my favorite store read more

This is the worst pharmacy ! They don't care if you need your medication or not. Too bad there was no choice for no stars horrible service. They do not check in with your dr, I had insurance for a month and there was an on going issue with them telling me that I do not? Horrible read more

the people at the pharmcy dont do anytning to help you get your medication if there is a problem with the system or insurance or doctors side. my insurance company and doctor both approved my medication just for these people to turn me away for the 5th time for the 5th different reason as to why i couldnt pick up my medication. it seems to me that some of them get off on having control over peoples lives like that and do it to fullfill their sick need of control. Not once has any of them tried to help me actually get my medication they always are so quick to say no and turn me away knowing that it's vital that I have these meds. I'm telling you their sadistic behavior got me writing a review and I don't do this lol save yourself the agony and go to a different pharmacy where they will actually care about you having your meds !! read more

Whatever you do, do not use this location to fill prescriptions. I've never once walked into this location and walked out of my prescription without an issue. Even when I've watched my own doctor speak to their pharmacist over the phone I was still told "Nothing was called in for you" read more

While the pharmacy line is always long it is usually fast moving too most I've ever spent in line was 20 minutes.

I recently had to buy my blood pressure medicine at CVS, that normally is sent to me from my little,small town pharmacy in Saugerties NY. It was late in coming,so they had CVS dispense 6 pills to carry me through to the next day. The cost from corporate giant,CVS for 6 pills was $11.99. The cost from my tiny pharmacy in Saugerties for 90,yes NINETY pills was $15.75. Does CVS with their enormous buying power really need to price gouge it's customers? Apparently so. I will NEVER,EVER spend another nickel in a CVS store as long as I live.Emergency or not. read more

I don't use their pharmacy, but I do love this store. Very clean, well stocked, and all the employees are friendly and helpful.

Other than the very long wait at the pharmacy (unless you go right when they open at 8am there is almost always a long line), this cvs is pretty standard for a cvs. The shelves are always well stocked and the employees are very nice and helpful. read more

Great store. It has so many different items, that I can almost always find what I need. Medications, toys, food, hardware, sesonal items. A great variety of products. And I love the staff. Everyperson I have ever encountered there has been friendly and efficient. Same goes for the pharmacy. Great personal. They work fast, and are always able to help if you have a problem with a medication or prescription. Great job CVS. Thanks read more

I use this pharmacy as a primary pharmacy for my family. My daughter has juvenile diabetes which lands me in this store on a monthly basis. There have been many times when I submit a prescription for refill, I am not notified when there is an issue with the prescription (they don't have it). I must check my daughters blood sugar every two hours to regulate her blood sugar, if I don't it will lead to MAJOR complications and most ultimately death. So I put in a refill a week ago and went in to get her test strips yesterday and they say that they are on back order. I called today after they said a shipment might come in and no luck. I am sorry but these strips are detrimental to my daughters health and we are there every month without fail to get these strips. I don't understand why they are leaving us in the dust. If they called me a week ago to let me know that there was an issue I would not be sitting here having an anxiety attack hoping that I can get these strips, I would have had time to switch the prescription and get them somewhere else. I feel this is very unprofessional and careless. read more
