The dog section is everrrything. Trust me. This isn't the place to go if you only need one thing. Great parking. Clean bathrooms. Woodforest bank! Subways sandwiches. You can tell the holiday season is here. Thanksgiving is bumping into Christmas sale items. Today was about getting a jump start on acquiring things needed for Thanksgiving dinner. Saw a lot of Black Friday sale items on laptop's, tvs, sweaters etc. Apparently there has been a rush on holiday turkeys but I was successful in getting a little bird. There was plenty of hams for those who partake and other items like stuffing, etc. Please do also support small businesses and consider dropping off items to your local food pantry. I don't usually shop at Walmart and I have very low expectations when I have to. But this time it was such a pleasure I had to leave a review. From my arrival to leaving, all the employees were so pleasant. They greeted me and each other with smiles. I even got helpful service and advise. The store was immaculate. The produce looked fresh and was stocked neatly. And I didn't even have to wait in line to check out. I don't know what was going on but I truly enjoyed my shopping experience today! read more

Walmart is my usual place to shop. But the last month I go elsewhere for produce. Why do they saturate the greens? Do they not know this practice will cause the greens to rot immediately? (Or maybe this is the intention) I understand misting a little to keep the greens hydrated but what they do is totally over kill! This Supercenter tends to be popular in this area. The grocery section isn't the best at providing clean aisles or organized shelves. The rest of the store is hard to navigate, but eventually you will find what you are looking for. Some cashiers are more friendlier than others, if you choose to bypass the self-checkout. The parking lot is larger than most. Getting out to the main streets are easy to find, once you depart. read more

I get that the store is completely rearranging everything but come on the isles are too narrow. I went in to purchase 2 empty spray bottles. Got them, brought them home, and neither works. The cherry on top is that at the register one of the last screens asks if you want to round your total up so they can get a tax break by "donating " the money from customers. read more

On a positive note, the inside of the store looked clean. The shelves needed restocking. It's a pretty busy place so I'm sure stocking should be an ongoing process. The worst part of my trip was checking out. I was initially impressed by the number of open registers. It didn't take long to realize that more open registers didn't equal faster checkout. It was painfully slow. The people in front of me didn't have large amounts of items and it still took a long time. It was frustrating. I was happy when I got out of there. read more

This is one of the "better" Walmart's. The line aren't unreasonably long anymore, since they opened self checkout cues. The associates here are friendly and really want to be helpful. I appreciate that! The store is always relatively neat, and there is parking. I purchase filtered water, and at .37 per gallon, that price is the [best] around! They have a "Redbox," if you care, and reasonable quality bakery breads on offer. The prices are competitive and no one can ever say different, but if I am being candid... I simply don't care for Walmart shopping. It feels like the DMV of stores. I am uncertain if it's the harsh fluorescent lighting or simply the layout of the store, but I try to get in and then get out! read more

5/29/24 @ 3:35-4:15pm Walmart Supercenter #4574 5825 Thunder Rd, Concord, NC 28027 This Walmart is unsatisfactory, to say the least. I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come and unlock the cage for the Similac Milk and no one ever showed up. The manager paged about three times and the pharmacy also paged for me, but nothing. My question is, if you have to lock a product up, then don't sell it. Better yet, all the products that are locked up should be contained in one location with a person readily available at all times to unlock the security cage. If a customer has to wait this long and still walk away with no service, then this is totally unacceptable. As I was walking out the store, the manager was bullshitting with two cashiers, as if my needing help was not a priority. I mentioned to the manager that no one showed up to unlock the cage and all she could say was; "I am sorry." Sorry don't feed the bulldog... read more

Tried to go and purchase a computer today. Had no help finding what I wanted. The lady was sitting back there on TikTok with earbuds in. Her manager asked her to go back and see if any of the customers needed help and so she proceeded to mock him. We had to wait till the other guy, who was running all over the place trying to help the customers, got back. He then helped us while she still sat on her phone watching TikTok. A guy came up and asked if she knew if they were selling PS5's and she then told him " the hell if I know". And she was very unhelpful and rude. read more

The pharmacy is The best and has an award to prove it! All the employees are so great the pharmacist are the best I travel put of my way to come here! I get all the shots here not at my Dr's clean and great. The whole store is better than the others in the area.great selection clean great employees but the pharmacy is the draw for me. This store felt very cluttered and disorganized. We had difficulty finding an associate to assist us. We needed something from a locked case (nail clippers). After searching for an associate, I asked one of the employees in a yellow vest at the express check out for assistance. She shrugged off my request for assistance and said it was not her department. I worked for Wal-Mart before and I know they are supposed to go the extra mile to assist the customer. This was absolutely poor service. read more

I love Walmart. There, I said it. And especially this location. They sell just about everything I need and I like the convenience of getting many different necessities while grocery shopping. I've noticed that they've added many more self checkout lanes. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. It's convenient when you only have a few things to pick up, but I haven't tried using it when I have a full cart. The things that are very valuable to me are the store's app and the now, disappointingly, defunct savings catcher program. The app allows me to find things quickly in the store, showing which aisle the item I'm looking for is in, and whether or not it's in stock. I can also use Walmart pay which is quick and easy. And I love the "start a return" feature. I'm very unhappy to see savings catcher go. I bragged about it and used it all the time. I guess many good things eventually come to an end. With the walmart app you can also shop online and then pick up your items at this cool, kiosk-type thing in the store. I haven't used it yet but it looks cool. The store itself is bright, clean and welcoming, although it tends to get messy and I find that the shelves are not stocked as regularly as they should be and thus they're frequently out of things I could really use. The prices are still very good, although I've noticed that some things have crept up recently. I like the way they try to stay innovative, too. Overall, I love Walmart, particularly this location, and I hope many more visits are in my future. read more

The clothing, electronics, toys and housewares departments in this Wal-Mart were fine, but i found the grocery section to be a confusing mess with bunkers set sideways and some aisles set as angles. It made my shop a whole lot harder. Did not like. I suppose that once you get used to the layout and know where everything is, it's okay. But when you're used to a standard perpendicular set up, you'll not have a good experience. read more

Concord used to be "The City of Concord." But now it feels just like Charlotte. The environment and employees at this location reflect that in the worst ways. The staff do not care nor pay any attention to the customers, and they are unhelpful 99% of the time. The store is filthy and disgusting. Most items remain in out of stock. Some items have been out of stock for two years. Management needs to step up and manage the store. If you are looking for a good, or even just an ok, shopping experience go somewhere else. read more

Walmart is Walmart...what more can you say... Well unfortunately, this Walmart doesn't rank very high in consistency. On a regular Monday evening, about 7 PM, I stopped in here to pick up a few grocery & household items. The parking lot was packed (never a good sign) & upon walking inside, it seemed everyone in the Concord area was in there. I quickly grabbed my five items & tried to stand in line at the "20 items or less" express checkout. There were five people in front of me. The cashier was moving EXTREMELY slow. After she finished checking out one person, she turned her light off & told the rest of us we'd have to find another register. The other express lane was just as bad. When you looked down the main drive aisle, there were just lines & lines of people standing & not moving. So, I walked to what I had hoped was a shorter line at a regular register. This employee was moving slower than the express lane cashier! I stood in this line for 10+ minutes before I got checked out. Other than the horrible check out experience, this Walmart is consistent with other locations in the area. Clean, wide aisles, plenty of product, & decent prices. read more

This Walmart is the worst in Charlotte. Their overnight / morning shift employees are rude AF, they have a "I could care less about you and your order" attitude ..late to deliver items when you're on time for pickups. You can be early and still leave late from picking up your items. You can literally place a pick up 24 hours ahead and they will be late to deliver it to you and will be missing items .. and not b/c the items weren't available, but they "forgot" .. I will never come to the Concord location. The pickers will pick you produce that is molded and put blame on someone else. This location does not take accountability what so ever .. From their managers, down to the associate employees .. it's 2022, we deserve better quality and service, and there is no negotiation about this. read more

I had to do a few things here that are out of the ordinary. I forgot to grab my receipt at the self-checkout and I had take a few steps away and the receipt disappeared. I needed the receipt because I had business expenses. It took a considerable amount of time to get a proxy receipt created by the manager. She was busy and even when she wasn't busy she kept getting pulled into something else. That experience was unpleasant and to the point of my just giving up. I debated if I should just rebuy everything and contest the first charge. More time lost though and I didn't want to setup that very confusing situation. I had to request a price match for a better price online - this went surprising well. I just showed the cashier my smartphone (the cashier in the electronics section of the store) and she made it easy. I had to return the purchases because while I was doing this, someone else was online buying the same (communication fail). The return was easy, I managed to leave the receipt in my car and the long line discouraged my leaving to get it. I got store credit and went about my business and bought some items to burn through the store credit. The parking and traffic at the Walmart are better than the one on Tryon, but better doesn't mean it is as nice as Target parking. Be prepared to dodge carts, deal with summer items stacked in spots, and an extreme bottleneck of an exit where people make left turns from a stop sign backing people up. Rarely does anyone let you in off a parking column into the flow of traffic headed for the stop sign. Be prepared to aggressively force your way into the queue. Depending on what way you are going you can do much better using the less obvious parking lot exits. read more

Yesterday I decided to do a Walmart pick up order because I noticed that in the past several months that they have been doing a terrible job at restocking items. Not only that, while in the store they have these weird contraptions covering only certain items. It's annoying. I figured that the workers are too busy doing online orders to actually take care of the store. Well, I ordered yesterday to only wake up to an email sent at 6:20 am saying that my order was canceled. They never called me! They did not have the decency to do so. If I had not checked my email then I would not have even known. This ruined my plans for the day. The only saving grace of going into the store is the self-check out. I can get through the line pretty fast. I just hate that they never had all what I need in this store! There are at least 2-3 items that are not restocked. I am so disappointed in their customer service! Disgraceful. read more

I go to this Walmart because it use to be the quickest but yesterday. I literally stood in line for a full hour to complete a return. They only had two ppl working returns and told a customer, who came in just for a money order that the express lane is for money orders but everyone had to just stand in one line. I got in line at 4pm and didn't leave Walmart until after 5pm. There was so customer service what so ever and a manager behind the register just eating until saw ppl complaining about the line moving, not even on a lunch break just eating. This is a decent Walmart overall, especially if you are able to avoid coming during very busy times. They have a solid selection of produce (especially for a Walmart) and are generally pretty well-stocked for groceries as a whole. The dairy department and meat selection are a bit lacking in my opinion, but overall the store is pretty large and is well maintained. I would avoid this location at busy shopping times though because it is usually loaded with families, and a lot of unattended children running around and getting in the way, etc. read more

This Wal-mart is a good size and off from the busy road of Concord Mills. I was able to find all my grocery and hygiene needs. The yogurt section was low in stock. I was able to get a few choices but never see it look so scarce in any Wal-mart. The women of color hair section had couple of choices but not much in the natural hair sector. I am not sure why this Walmart has such low reviews. It is my go to Walmart. As with everything else in the Concord Mills area, your experiences will vary greatly depending upon what days and times you go. During the week day, it is very quiet and shopping is enjoyable. At night and especially on the weekends, it can be much busier and the clientele varies significantly. They tend to get a lot of foot traffic from out of town or's who are visiting Concord Mills. Customer service also fluctuates. I've had fantastic associates and I've had just OK ones who are just there to get a paycheck. It is Walmart after all. I think people sometimes need to realign their expectations when rating a business. You get what you pay for. If you want better customer service I would suggest Target or perhaps Kohl's. I absolutely love Walmart.com and the in-store pick up feature. The pick up tower is so cool. My eight year old was so impressed with it the first time we used it. His eyes were as big as saucers. My biggest complaint about this particular location and I think it is actually their business model, but I cannot stand grocery items sitting inside of a brown cardboard box on a shelf. It makes it very difficult to find what you're looking for. I love that their app realizes when you are inside their store and it helps you find what you're looking for. Sometimes it is better to consult the app then to consult an associate. A lot of the associates do not seem to be cross trained and do not know much about other departments. I typically am not a fan of Walmarts. However, this particular Walmart is by far the cleanest I've been in hands down! It's spacious and maintained well. I couldn't believe that EVERY register was being manned although the store wasn't too terribly crowded. I was there midday and there was not debris all over the floor out of place like you see in most other Walmarts. The lady at the deli counter was very nice and pleasant. I'd certainly be willing to go a few extra miles to this Walmart again. read more

I use to love this store, but since they decided to "REMODEL", they have lost me as a customer for my large grocery shopping trips. Now that they have removed most of the check outs and replaced them with self-service, I have had nothing but problems and HATE it! It takes me longer to check out because the poor service girl is running around fixing problems with the computers. The 5 remaining ones are really backed-up (you would think management would notice this). When I'm spending $300-$400, I would like a little customer service. Pharmacy is outstanding! read more

Wallace came over from hardware to help me out, and even though he wasn't 100% familiar with the equipment, he persevered and got the job done, all the while being very pleasant. I love Walmart. I know lot of people don't like them but for some reason I have a good chemistry with them and it seems like it's coming closer to me because it used to be about five miles away from my house and now it's only two and half miles away. I am little excited about this spot because I can easily find parking in front of the store unlike other Walmart. Also this location is not crowded at all compare to the university store. I end up here at least twice a week so even the greeters at front door knows me and my daughter by face. I have used their pharmacy quite a few times and they were pretty helpful. As matter of fact, I remember once, I was looking for a specific item and the pharmacy walked with me to the ale and helped me with any questions I had before he got back into his area. I never seen that type of friendly service from a pharmacist at my local cvs or Walgreen. I am pretty happy with their check out counters since they move fast most of the time unless someone is asking for price check and there are several ppl waiting in line for check out. One thing I do like to mention which is their electronic employee need more training or education on their electronic. The reason I say that is because he didn't know what DSLR camera is and he was working in electronic HELLO? So for the most part, this Walmart is pretty new so it neat & clean, has great service. read more
