This grocery store reminds me of a Whole Foods store, especially with the organic products being offered here. Most grocery items will be found but the certain name brands will not. I found Aussie style licorice I like on sale along with oatmeal cookies freshly baked without gluten products. It's quiet and brightly lit inside. I would definitely come in for soup and salad where this is offered daily. The problem I have with this earth there is that whenever I go to get their quality grass said beef. They usually have only one butcher working the meat counter. And when they finally recognized that somebody is standing there which takes a few minutes, the time it takes for me to place my order and have them pack. The products that I require is excessive. And being that there's only one person, when other people are waiting in line it takes twice as long. I do usually purchase a large order because I don't live that close. It only get there once every couple of months I have stopped going and have looked for an alternative local meat supplier. read more

I shopped at this Earth Fare for years before it closed. It was my weekend ritual, so I was very disappointed when they went out of business. When I heard they were re-opening I was excited, but honestly due to not living in the area I don't visit as much as I once did. I went in recently looking for some salmon. I was surprised at how much different the vibe is compared to how it used to be. Granted it was a Monday, but the store was very empty, and the stock was low - especially in the meat section. I waited 5-10 minutes at the meat counter for someone to show up since there was no butcher in sight. Also the little meat that was out looked like it had been there since opening earlier that morning. Very unappealing. It was pretty sad considering how vibrant the store used to be. Either Mondays are slow, or customers resorted to going elsewhere in the years it was closed. Overall I was very disappointed. I de used to venture out to the local "organic at its best store" ( Earth Foods) in my neighborhood and to my surprise I liked it! It's right up there with Whole Foods in price and comparison! Earth Food had a few extra things that made it stand out like the salad bar, nut and candy section, self service sugar scrub bar, bakery, kitchen and little eating area! I looove Earth Fare and this location makes me love it even more. This grocery store has everything! A smoothie/juice bar, sushi counter (they have the cheapest sushi deals that I've seen for grocery store sushi), deli, bakery, alcohol, butcher, make-your-own-granola stations, fresh flowers. I mean, what else could you possibly need in a grocery store? I recommend their smoothie/juice station and getting their weekly flyers/emails so you can be current on all of the store specials (they have plenty!) I've only bought certain items when they've been on sale and prices have been lower than the Teeter. Again, this has been on certain items. This is my new (close to home) go to for healthy food. I don't have to second and third guess the items on their shelves. Their food philosophy is very interesting. Actually they pretty much stick with simple and wholesome ingredients... This could do a world of good. Looking at most of the products on the shelves I couldn't help but notice that the list of ingredients were significantly less complicated than most. So Earth Fare has pretty much taken the guesswork out of a more wholesome approach to food shopping. Only seven minutes from my home, and with a full-service bakery, deli, beauty and healthy cosmetic section, I am sure they'll be on my list to visit again very, very soon. read more

I'd like to start by saying there are many things I like about this store. The staff was very nice and pleasant and store clean and inviting. However, my first trip here upon moving to the area from out of state I ended up buying a Wicked brand pizza that was expired. I noticed items on clearance and later realized that they were expired. It's sad that they still charged over $8 for an expired product. I doubt I will be going back. read more

Ya so I've gotten steaks a few times from here just bc they're said to be fresh and grass fed but the last time I got steaks they were completely rancid. The employee said they were just cut 5 mins before and I have no idea how he couldn't smell it. On top of this when I called the person on the phone was extremely rude and told me I better hurry up and get there before they close. When I got there I said that the meat is probably contaminated and they should probably get rid of it ( they definitely did not.) I have never left a grocery store review but i felt the need to do this because of the health risks involved. read more

So, my cousin who is a non meat eater went to this establishment last month and they had mislabeled some food. It had meat in it. Now, I'm not sure if those of you reading this are non meat eaters, but when your body becomes accustomed to not eating something - for over 10 years no less - it has serious complications once done. She reached out to them and asked them to make the situation right and refund her the grocery bill initially, but once she got sick, she asked them to cover her medical expenses, etc. They made a unrealistic offer and refuse to even apologize for her getting sick because they don't want to accept accountability for the mix up. This is scary, especially considering the various food allergies - I remember my Aunt having to carry an epipen in the event her food was even TOUCHED by seafood. So, imagine intentionally purchasing a product labeled in a manner to support your situation and STILL getting sick because the company labeled it incorrectly. Just something to consider. read more

Nice store for organic fresh foods. It has everything a "regular" grocery store has. You can purchase fresh peanut butter and different flavors of maple syrup by the bottle. You can buy several natural grains and nuts by the pound. The bakery looks wonderful. The fresh bread was amazing. I will be coming back when I have more time to shop. read more

So 3 stars out of 5 is only granted to the butchers (Marvin & Jimmy). They are both a delight to see and have great customer service skills with recommendations and friendly. This is one of my favorite places my husband and I love to purchase our meat and seafood selection so the interaction on a weekly basis with the butchers makes the shopping experience wonderful. Now to the cashiers they are sooooo unprofessional, no greeting when you walk in or even when you are approaching the cash register with your groceries. They just start ringing up the food, continue to talk to their peers and to me that's just rude and not a great look for this store. Kristen to be exact didn't greet us at the cashier desk, kept talking to her coworker and had the worst attitude ever and this is about our 3rd time having her as our cashier. After everything was done, I told her I wanted to pay with a card and the balance in cash, she said okay and "acted" like she did something that didn't work and unfortunately that's when I had to let her know that in the future with other customers is to know how to process a payment with multiple payment methods or ask a manager to show her how to complete the transaction instead of having this "bothered" attitude. There's was maybe 1 cashier with such a bubbly personality and very attentive when checking out on another visit and I wish I had her name to give a great review; but I will be approaching the manager next visit to let him know that this is unacceptable when people are spending their hard working money for great food but the experience doesn't match at all. Butchers keep up the great work! Cashiers needs more training in the customer service department because it's a reflection on the entire store. read more

I would have to say that my adventure into Earth Fare today was simply spectacular. In my opinion they take a page out of Whole Foods playbook, and expand on it exponentially. I simply loved the stunning array of fresh and organic foods to include organic beef, and Grass fed products, fresh bulk teas, their Heirloom juice bar, emphasizing raw and organic juice Blends that can tantalize just about every taste bud.  A worthy spot to wander through and explore and enhance one's health. read more

I have shopped at Earth Fare for probably about 10 years now. I'm familiar with a lot of their locations, even out of state locations when I moved away from North Carolina. I have to say, this is one of my least favorite locations for a couple of different reasons which I will get to later in the review. So in my opinion they do seem like a smaller store with less options compared to other locations I have been to. As you walk into the store, they have fresh and amazing looking produce. They have bulk nuts, grind your own nut butter, then your meat counter with fresh fish and meats. Aisles and aisles of paleo, gluten free, keto, vegan... etc. you name it items. Things that most people consider "health foods," but I call them "real foods!" They have a small cheese selection which I was a little bit sad about. But they did have a rather large selection of ready to go food items. An olive bar, a salad/hot bar, a cookie by the pound, sushi, subs and fresh baked bread and pizza. Plenty of lunch options here. So now, to the minor thing that I felt like I needed to point out to avoid future conflict with other customers.... First off, We only had one issue during our visit, and that would be with a sub we wanted. On Thursdays here they do subs and sandwiches for $5. My friend and I wanted tuna on a sub roll instead, as it was pictured on the menu that way. We asked about it several times, and were told that subs were only pre-made. (Which I don't believe is true based on my other experiences at Earth Fare.) We were instructed to check the sub case several times, and then were told that they usually only do tuna on croissant breads. If you don't do tuna on a sub roll, take it off of the menu to avoid confusion. They DID make our sandwiches for us, and we really appreciated that, but they didn't seem to willing to want to do so. We had to ask 3 different associates about what we wanted to solve the dilemma, and they still couldn't comprehend that what we were wanting was ON THEIR MENU! I'm giving 3 stars on this review because I love the chain, but this particular location is just average and nothing special. Some of employees don't seem too particularly friendly, which happens everywhere, but still. I work in customer service and I don't think it's acceptable to not greet your customers or even flash a smile! They've got a lot of work to do. read more

So, I went into the store today, to purchase my favorite beauty products. While browsing the isles I was approached by a employee asking if I needed help. I asked her about a particular product, and she said that Earthfare is unable to get it at this time. I asked where is the products origin, and the lady "Keenya" said that it was from Virginia and said there is nothing I can do about it, while walking off... I love the store . I always come here to get my groceries and things that I can eat to help me feel better about my life and living as a healthier person. Most of the time I come here to get clean juices to start my day. Not to be mean or anything, but I am leaving this review as a constructive comment to help you guys be more convenience. The lady who works at the stand take forever ! (An African American young lady with glasses) It doesn't take more than 10 minutes to make a juice. I ordered 2 juices and I've been standing here for 15 minutes now. Long enough that I am almost finishing my review and she still haven't give me my juices. This happen every single time, and imagine if there were more than 2 customers in line ? Or 10? She's asking questions and she seems very unmotivated and sorry but , "lazy" . It drains my energy looking at her and how un-enthusiastic she is to life and people and energy. Local foods, bulk items, plenty of produce, baked goods, the list goes on and on. This Earth Fare has become my go to spot for grocery shopping. Weekly emails with coupons for produce and meats make shopping here a bit more affordable. On my last two visits, some of the produce wasn't to my liking. The produce folks kindly checked in the back for produce to meet my needs. That means a lot. Don't be afraid to ask for what's not there! read more

I shop here frequently so this is about my experience today and for feedback moving forward. They open up at 7 am, I went at 7:40 am, the produce section looked as if they were moving out. Boxes and employees everywhere and empty shelves/bins. They were unpacking so I kindly asked if they had avocados and was told I had to wait since they were unpacking as opposed to going in a box and grabbing a couple of avocados. I stopped there on my way to work knowing that it was early enough to get in and get out. I get that you have to unpack, but then if your business hours are 7 AM have stuff set up or at least be flexible enough to accommodate a paying customers request. First I want to start by saying how my husband loves the meat department and they are always super helpful. Yesterday was my second time going to earth fare and both times I had issues with the Kitchen department. My first time, my husband and I went in to grab something to eat. I stood for a few minutes before someone came to ask if I needed something. I asked if they had any more wings they are making for the buffet. She pointed me to the pre-made cooler section. I asked yes but are you able to heat them up? And she then told me I could use the microwave to heat them up around the corner... well I was a little disappointed and did not want microwaved wings. I said no thanks and she just walked away without offering any other solutions. My second time was yesterday. We were in again as my husband wanted a few steaks. I went over to the pizza bar to get my son and I a slice of pizza. There was no pizza left, I assume from the lunch crowd that just left, just empty pans. I stood for a few minutes as two men were working in the kitchen and did not acknowledge me there. Finally I just asked "excuse me but do you have any more pizza coming up?" The man who had his back turned to me loudly said "NO" and that was it. He did not even turn to look at me. I stood again and they did not ask if they could help with anything else or get me anything else since they were out of pizza. So I just walked away. Honestly I wouldn't have minded waiting for a whole pizza and paid for the whole thing. However they were not trying to be helpful at all. I am very disappointed as my husband loves earth fare and the products they have however the customer service in the kitchen is severely lacking as twice now I have been have had zero help or even wanting to try to be helpful in anyway especially when their job is to actually serve hot food.. read more

I am so disappointed. We went to the Earth fare's bakery to get a cake and what we got was a hard rock. I chose a vanilla Chocolate cake because the ones they had on Display were fluffy and looked appetizing but the one we got was compressed stale and when we tried to eat it it was hard to bite!we couldn't even eat one slice. We wasted $30 in a cake we couldn't eat. It's so disappointing that a new place like this doesn't have their act together. When we were at the register they ask for our phone number for the loyalty card we got in the opening but we weren't in the system and the cashier didn't know what to do. One star taken away because of the high prices, 4 stars given because of the sales!!! I only go here for sale items, I must admit. Otherwise things are just too much. Although, sign up for their emails so you can track sale items, and keep an eye on it! My favorite item from the deli is any chicken salad. They are all delicious and they usually have one on sale for around $5/lb which is half price the normal $10+ which I'm just not paying. Rotisserie chickens $5 everyday. Many other complete meals on sale depending on the day. Always cheese samples and random other samples...one day I got lucky and got wine and beer samples! You can also sample almost anything else they sell. There's a place to sit and eat, looks to be possible for area business people's lunch. read more

This is most definitely my new favorite store besides Trader Joe's . I love how everything is organic and non GMO. I also don't think the prices are that outrageous like I've heard people complain about. You can either pay for quality products or pay for it later on down the road. I actually really like Earth fare however, I did not get the best customer service experience. Everything was very clean and organized in the store. However, at 3:40 Pm on Tuesday, there were really long lines for check out. Towards the end, they added another person at the cashier. I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way - I wish that they had done this from the beginning. During this round, I was not greeted with warmth and friendliness by the cashier. I did some more shopping to make another round of purchases. Nobody was there to assist me in the vitamins and body care area. There's one woman who walked by and I tried to smile at her but didn't get a warm response. She did ask if I needed help. I made my second purchase and finally there was one woman by the name of Jennaca that was friendly and I was able to have a conversation with her about discontinued purchases. Perhaps employees can express a bit more enthusiasm and happiness to work in this store. read more

I like this place! Several health food items to choose from. Some you can't find in a regular grocery store. It is pricey but not more than another other store that's considered a health food store. I like the hot bar and the cornbread is delicious! The fresh seafood is just that....fresh and they usually have a sale. I go here at least once a week. I think I like Traders Joes more for a huge variety of items for a cheaper price but I do like Earthfare. Parking can be a headache because there are a lot to stores around it. I would recommend shopping here for healthy food items. read more

I'm so excited this location opened up near me. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the checkout line isn't too bad either. There are lots of great deals every week , so sign up for emails. This visit I sampled the juice bar and had a delicious made to order smoothie. I love that this store has plenty of seating inside and out for you to just enjoy your food . After I had my smoothie, I went shopping for a few of my favorite items, including Earth Fare's organic chocolate chip cookies. Every time I go to Earth fare I am disgusted after the fact. I have to check the date on every item and half the time they are expired eggs, cheese, milk! Went back with expired eggs and the manager said and I quote. " we sell a crap load of eggs". Looks like he just came off the farm himself and was not professional at all! So disappointed. This is the WORST EarthFare i have EVER stepped into. The staff in the Deli is inattentive, they see you standing there and completely ignore you until they feel like speaking to you. They don't want to work so they tell you to pick something already prepared BEFORE asking them to do something. The produce is always on its last leg and they don't replace it until they NEED to. The managers are rude and aren't helpful in the slightest. They are constantly reciting policies to prevent them from taking any accountability for their customers terrible experiences. It's so upsetting because they are so close to my house so it's convenient to go there instead of Publix or Harris Teeter but I literally have the WORST experience EVERY time i step in. Literally I bought kale and it spoiled in 2 days so i brought it back and they literally told me "you should've eaten sooner" The customer service is terrible. If i wanted to be ignored, purchase subpar produce and have negative interactions with staff then I'd go to Walmart. The products cost WAY too much for us to be treated like we're an inconvenience. My mom and dad both go into this store and they have been mistreated and it's so frustrating because they never leave that store happy. I am a Customer Experience Manager at my current place of employment and my staff would NEVER behave the way they do. Do not go here if you have the option of going to other grocers. Or if your in a rush. They will over work 1 cashier and have a line go down an entire aisle before a manager will pull a staff member to open another line or even jump on themself. No one is too good to do another job. But most of the staff there act as if they are too good to even speak to you. I'm am SO unhappy with this place and being vegan i have definitely steered my other vegan friends to Publix or Whole Foods. This is my review and until things change there I'm not changing my review at all.
