Sorority Sister and I took advantage of tax free weekend to purchase school supplies for a fundraiser her work is participating in and we came to this Walmart. I hadn't been here in years. The store was organized, the staff were beyond friendly and chatty, and the patrons were polite and kind. The school supplies were very reasonably priced. We used the self checkout and did not have to wait in line. The man who helped at the self checkouts was so kind and friendly and helpful! The restroom was clean and my only complaint is all the bathroom stall doors I tried didn't lock. All in all we had a very pleasant shopping experience at this Walmart! read more

I don't know who Dawn's shopper was, but dude needs fired. It isn't that difficult to shop for items. Why are you working this job if you're not willing to put in the effort? I say this as a shopper. Check endcaps, check where the app tells you to look, check where it should commonly be before hitting 'it's out of stock.' read more

Walmart Supercenter - Department Stores Near Me - Athens, Alabama

I cannot properly commend the staff of the Walmart Pharmacy in Athens. Shaun processed all the forms in a very professional, timely and engaging manner. The Pharmacist Trevor was equally as professional, informed and personal. The entire process took less than 20 minutes. Other Walmart Pharmacies ought to try to act and provide the same level of care and concern. You've set the bar high. Thank you. read more

Walmart Supercenter - Department Stores Near Me - Athens, Alabama

We moved to Athens, Alabama a few months ago and I have to say this is the worst Walmart Store I have ever been to. The entire store is very dirty, shelves are a mess, and a lot of items are out of stock or not stocked properly. I am not sure if the problem is with the staff or the customers or both. Even the parking lot is very dirty. If there were another alternative, I would not shop at this store any longer. Unfortunately, it's the only Walmart close by. read more

I used there coinstar service at 6:15 a.m. and went to redeem. They said they couldn't redeem because they weren't going to open a register until later in the day and that I would have to come back later. Store 92140375 3031 Memorial Parkway Huntsville, Al. read more

Absolutely pointless shopping here. So much is out of stock. Athens will never be anything more than a blip on a map without more major retailers. Athens sux so bad, Kroger won't even come back. It's a stereotypical redneck joke when your major store in town is 1 walmart read more

The nastiest and the dirtiest restrooms of all stores where i've been to. It was so nasty the last time i had to visit it that i felt as if i needed to take a bath afterwards. read more

Bullshit store advertised 24/7 but closes at 11pm even after calling the store to confirm hours agent said 24/7 don't waste your time

Can't do less than a 1 or I would. Third time in a row my pickup order had been missing items, has extras I didn't order and I've gotten zero help until calling the corporate customer service line. Avoid this store for pickup. If you need to use the service go to Madison, Huntsville or pulaski read more

If you use curbside pickup, please do it in the morning. You'll regret it every time you wait until the evening. I haven't had anything happen like this in my life. I ordered my groceries and needed them the following day. They had a time available at 7 so I took it. I got a text saying it would be a two hour delay. That was annoying, but I had no idea how bad it was going to get. They finally alerted me that my order was ready, and I went straight there. I put my information in, and waited over 30 minutes. Finally, I called. She said someone would be right out. A girl came out, but without my order. They had given it to another customer. Just gave it away. And no one knew how to fix all this. It was complete chaos. They lose so much money because once you leave with groceries, even if they aren't yours, they can't take them back. It was hours before it got straightened out. Just don't do it. It's maddening. read more

I wrote Wal-Mart Corporate about an issue after giving them a one star review earlier. I was called almost almost immediately by Meredith. She was so friendly and thanked me for my feedback. She asked for specific information and promised to straighten a particular product and ensure they would be in stock on an item. She also told me to call and ask for her if a particular area in the store needed attention in the future. She ensured me they would get the area in neat and orderly condition before I left the store. I was very impressed with how thankful she was for my business. read more

I do love Walmart. It's my one stop shop. I'm always using the money center and I often use the express feature to "skip the line" it irks my nerves because they never have a cashier at the express lane and they often have it blocked off. I'll walk up to the express counter. Have to wait for the other one associate to finish with her current customer then she will usually try to quickly move on to the next one and I'm just standing down there like "excuse me I have an express transaction" then I get attitude not only from the cashier but from the other customers in line because I get to go ahead of them. If they had a designated express cashier this could be avoided. read more

I called them twice in store. I asked no less than 4 associates to get a car battery 20 minutes after automotive closed. I STILL haven't gotten any help getting a battery. Oh the associates will tell you they will help then walk off. The associate on the phone will say I'm sorry then hang up on you. Thank you. read more

Great time to rearrange the store ..... NOT. Now it takes twice as long to shop and to find items that have been moved to other areas, when during a pandemic, we all should spend less time inside shopping, roaming around the isles asking employees where items have been moved to. read more

This store is so bad ... I have never had a positive experience unless I was wiring money .. those ladies at the money center always are able to do thier job & are friendly! If only the rest of the employees were this way. Either the produce is bruised, or the milk is sour or the products are constantly moved to a different spot! That is annoying! But today was the worst! I quit shopping in this particular store and now remember why! The lady in the photo department evidently didn't want to be bothered with helping me download files off my phone so I could make prints & she told me to download the app!! Really !! So she's chasing away customers... good going Walmart! read more

Poor customer service constantly changing items around rude employees there website says they have an item in stock when they really don't

The cash register lady that I had was very rude to me and my aunt at the register. My aunt had forgot her wallet in the car and didn't notice until after we had our items on the counter. My aunt ran to the car to get her wallet and made it back just in time for the last few items. My aunt began to pay for the items with her card. While she was doing so, the cash register lady was telling us to hurry up and put our items in our cart. She continued saying this the whole time I was putting them in the cart. We were not treated the way customers should be treated, and I had a very bad time there. read more

I was highly humiliated and embarrassed by a Walmart employee at the Walmart super center in Athens al! As I was leaving the store, after shopping for over an hour, I was asked to have my bags checked to match up to my receipt! I handed the jerk my receipt and asked him what was the problem!! He would not answer me and told me to just do as he asked, which I was doing, then he told me to follow him to the security room so he could check it in depth! I told him how embarrassing this was an he's smerked as we walked in front of everyone. He was calling other employees over to assist us like I was some criminal! Once we got in the security room him and another lady checked everything in detail and realized I was right!! Everything was rang up! All they had to say was sorry for the confusion and said thanks for the cooperation and to have a nice day!! Isn't this illegal? I came home and basically had a nervous breakdown after realizing how humiliating they just made me look and for no reason at all! He could have checked my bag at the door and resolved all of the happening! I will pursue any action I can take!! He had i right doing that to me!! read more
