Don't believe the hype! They offer a promotion, only to have you spend month, and hours on the phone, trying to chase down what they promis
Charles B.

It has been nearly a year since Tommy and I had our new HVAC unit installed, to the tune of nearly $13k. Costco, whom we purchased it through, was offering a promotion. We were supposed to get a gift card in a certain amount for buying through them. It was to come 2-6 weeks after the install. Almost a year later, and after three different phone calls to Customer Service, and I STILL have no clue if the matter has even been settled. It's been nearly three months since they last told me I needed to sign a form, which I did through Docusign, and again, still no word on the progress, so I called yet again today. Had to go through ALL THE SAME QUESTIONS (order #, date of service, etc, etc, etc) I had to answer my last two calls, only to find out NOTHING definitive. I have never seen a company with more inept Customer Service in my life. The Customer Service rep can only tell me, "IF it has been settled, it can take two to four MONTHS for you to now receive the gift card." I am so over Costco it isn't even funny. We have Sam's and BJ's both within the same distance as Costco. From now on, I will only do business with them. I had used them extensively when trying to buy stuff for our Club COnnect project. Never again. Any business that makes the customer have to jump through hoops to get what they were supposed to get is not a business I can trust or care to business with. Between Amazon, Sam's Club and BJ's, I need Costco like I need a third eye in the center of my chin.

About 2hrs ago the WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic. This is what panic looks like
Whitney H.

Costco is truly doing the best they can to keep their customers calm and safe whike shopping. They've done away with taste/food samples which will help cut down on transmission of any illness. They have also instituted a limit of 2 or 3 on certain items such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, milk, bottled water, etc. The lines are long, but this is no fault of Costco. They have hand sanitizer out in the store and sanitary wipes for the carts. My family and I managed to get everything we needed (not panicked pandemic shopping, just normal groceries) despite the restrictions and mass panic pictured in my photo. Everyone who works there was still in a good mood and willing to help customers. Keep up the good work fam. Coming from an ER Nurse, you're doing great.

Roses 16.99 for a dozen

Came here to get roses and a few other items for my moms upcoming 80th Birthday party! This place is packed! More then any other Costco I've been to. Parking is horrible. I parked 3 miles away and walked for hours to reach my destination. (Joking, I parked close). I've gone/been to a Costco in about 5 states. They offer some of the same items we get in my home state of Texas. Costco also had items that are probably better suited to this area. I'm guessing they do demographic studies. They are consistent for sure! Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. I bought all my moms roses here prior to her birthday on Valentine's Day with the Costco app. I did all the arrangements of the roses for my moms party. I bought baby breath and additional greenery to make these arrangements pop!! The roses are top notch and way nicer/fuller and cheaper then grocery store flowers! They have lots of staff to assist. Really happy with my purchase. I got 96 roses for 120$. The additional greenery and baby breath was another 40$. Only thing I dislike is that Costco won't honor Master Card. Not sure why that is. I have an executive membership at Costco. It's $120 a year to shop here for me. (Membership for more then 13 years) I think at the end of the year they will have to buy my membership back. I won't spend what it cost to have an exclusive membership. It's either cash or check since they won't honor a Master Card. With my Master Card I have more freedom with spending. With cash/check I'm limited on my ability to spend for a transaction. Since It requires cash in hand. Huge cut back for me. I already avoid shopping here because of the MC issue and now I need a check book or cash. What a pain in the butt at check-out. I hate the way Costco is operating for payment. Costco. End of the day use/add Master Card as an accepted payment. 9/2019

Each time we come here the store seems spotless and well run. Kudos to the management. My wife purchased two pair of shoes and really enjoyed the service! Now...let's talk about those prices.

I don't typically shop in-person, but I had this idea that we might get help with sizing and understanding of the difference between the brands if we went in-person. Maybe there was SOME reason to still make the hike out to a box store, as opposed to buying on Amazon. Well, after waiting 20-30 minutes, trying on the display shoes, no staff in sight, and my 4-year-old begging to leave - I had no choice but to help myself.... In hindsight, yes, I should have just left and taken my business elsewhere, but my son already picked out a toy...so, I was pretty set on getting him shoes, a toy, and heading out. Anyway, after trying on all of the display shoes that I could find, I finally went into the back to grab several pairs of shoes so I could start fitting my child/hopefully complete my purchase. I was balancing six or seven boxes and organizing them for my son to start trying on when two staff arrived. I was finally asked if I needed help. Ha! I said that yeah I really did need help, but I had everything I needed at the moment. So, then, one member got a real stern voice and serious look on her face to tell me customers were NOT allowed in the back room. Like I was in the wrong or did something wrong - In front of my child. I said I wasn't sure if anyone was working the area, or if it had turned into a self-serve option. (Everything else has). I explained I had been waiting for almost half an hour, and I just wanted to try on some shoes. The staff member then told me that they had not been off the floor THAT long. Again, in front of my child. Like - why are you arguing with me about the amount of time I was waiting without help?? A simple, 'I'm so sorry for the wait--let me help you from now on though, because I'm the one that should be getting things from the back FOR you' would have resolved everything. Instead, the staff chose to reprimand me, argue over irrelevant details like how long they were gone from their post (you think I WANT to go do your job), and generally make me feel extremely awkward and unwelcome. To make matters worse, they stood off to the side glaring at me as I juggled putting shoes on my kid AND putting ones that didn't work back into their boxes. Wouldn't it have been helpful to assist me in that moment? Wouldn't it be great to say, "Hey, I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot there at first...but, can I help a mom out by putting these shoes away for you if they don't work?" For reference, I purchased $130 worth of shoes and toys from the store that day and had intended to buy multiple pairs of shoes if anyone had been proactive in helping. But, honestly, it was easier to just go to Belk.

The machine shop and retail store shared a Guntersville space until it became a little awkward when Sak's lingerie, women's dresses, and footwear (2$-3$ each) shared the same space with greasy tools and machines. Eventually, they opened the first retail store in Guntersville and now (and have for a good while) have stores in Huntsville, Decatur, Montgomery, Muscle Shoals, and Auburn. Yeah, there is a lot of stuff in a MM!! Books, yearbooks and bestsellers, sports fan related items (think Blue Jays themed socks), nuts, bolts, uniforms, stationery, school supplies, sports equipment, picture frames, Bubba Gump glasses, barrettes, office desks, grills, nuts, bolts, tools, flashlights, live orchids - you get it. It's a bargain hunter's paradise if you don't have ADHD and can focus on getting only what you are looking for. Interestingly enough, they don't always know what is in some of the boxes they bid on at auction and once ended up with F-16 fighter jet parts that required Pentagon permission to sell. (They sold nearly all the parts, too!) Like their website says, after visiting the Guntersville and Huntsville stores, I did find myself saying, as many MM shoppers do, "I'll bet that would come in handy, if I just knew what it was for." :)

It is great that the parking was expanded with Phase 3 in 2013 to the detriment of the 10-acre lake that was filled in to accommodate the new parking garage and Belk department store. The parking was sorely needed! This is not my go to shopping center. It is my go-to happy hour destination and moderate dining at Connor's [my last remaining favorite BS restaurant]. To me, it is overrun with franchises, as nearly all of Huntsville is! And, being outdoor, it's subject to the weather! Bring a small umbrella if in doubt, you'll thank me later! Also, know there is underground parking on the south end and 2-3 story parking at Belk close to Connors. Do visit BSTC, it's nice that they have a Ferris wheel, and I believe some type of boats available on the far east side, and it's dog friendly in the shopping common area where you'll see plenty of folks with their 4-legged family member.
