This visit I was the only woman amongst a dozen men. After looking over the inventory, he selected a Benelli. The gun was not on sale and the staff could not include any ammo. Instead they gave him a Winter Timber Outdoors hat and t-shirt. The hat and t-shirt were the nicest sold by the business and he's been wearing the hat outside while keeping an eye on the roofers. If you are the outdoors type, this is your store. They have everything required for hunting, fishing, and more. Their customer service is exceptional. Moments upon entering their store (with no clients in sight) I was met with smug-rudeness and discriminatory undertones. I inquired about browsing their dresses to best see what styles they offer, prior to booking an appointment. I was turned away and was told there was no use in me looking around; they even deterred me from making an appointment. They shared that any possible dress I could think of (or possibly be interested in) "wouldn't be available, anyway." They also told me to go look somewhere else. I highly do NOT recommend this bridal shop. They're a disgrace to the spirit of wedding shopping; such should be an experience of excitement, accommodations and positivity. I encourage brides to find better and I encourage this establishment to do better.

It's known as "the Exchange" or "Redstone Arsenal Exchange Services," or "Army and Air Force Exchange." It's open Monday through Friday 6 AM to 6 PM and closed on the weekends. It's sort of a one stop shop as it's a gas station, convenience store with a small liquor store (must have Military ID to purchase liquor, beer, wine, etc.), and smaller versions (versus the regular sized stores) of both Burger King and Subway. Unlike the Express with Class Six on Action Drive, the selection of liquors at the AAFES Express is much smaller and I've never seen the AAFES Express host an event like an on site wine retailer. I've eaten at both the Burger King and Subway, which can get really crowded, and purchased a few items at the convenience store. In the past I've purchased gas here, too. It's nice, in a pinch, to be able to pop over to the AAFES Express and get a sub sandwich or something from Burger King if you forgot your lunch and/or missed the cafeteria operating hours in your building.

I had my first refill experience this week and it was great! Although I love the Publix method which is to phone in your refills, typing in the script # and leaving any special instructions via voicemail then receiving a robo call a day or so later notifying the customer the prescription is ready for pick up and the pharmacy hours and the always quick drive through pick up, Athens Pharmacy is super responsive to phone call refill requests, and is very friendly, offering same day refills. The drive through had about 3 cars waiting when I arrived earlier this week and I just walked in, and had about a five-minute wait to complete my transaction. Well, 10minutes probably, since I accidentally dumped my wallet out at the checkout (Momma didn't name me Grace!!!) Another customer was kind enough to hand me a couple of things that fell out of my wallet that I overlooked. I enjoyed looking at the small section of what looked like hand painted Athens-themed Christmas ornaments for sale, on the way out. Thanks Athens Pharmacy for offering an old school, hometown feeling pharmacy that really offers anything you could need including greeting cards, candles and a good assortment of gift items in addition to all the standard pharmacy and home care items you are accustomed to seeing.
