I went to Walmart got my handicap parking spot and there was a cart there I saw an employee taking a electric cart inside I said" I would bring it in" the employee said " A lady inside needed it!" I said "OK" He said "I'll get you one inside ok" I said " Yea that'll be great thanks" I went in and waited the employee was a door greeter so I ask about a electric cart. He said they didn't have one yet! I ask if I could have a chair? He recited (COVID19) and offered me a handicap cart to sit on. I told him it wasn't safe to sit on! I wound up on the floor! I noticed another employee sitting in a chair a few feet away and ofcourse I said something! She got mad and rudely informed me she had a knee problem! Lol. Did I mention I parked in a handicap parking place! Listen up; " I have bone spurs in my hip, I have a bad heart, both rotator cuffs in my shoulders are torn, i have 10 stints in my chest and I'm a diabetic!" I guess cause I said something they next electric cart was given to someone else! An hour later I got a chair 5 minutes after I got the chair I got a electric cart! I'M NOT DONE!!! THERE'S MORE! I went to get a lawn mower and gas can my son said he would mow the grass for free if I got him one to make money with! My mistake was needing help because I'm disabled! I ask another employee for help and a cart to get it to my car 2 hours later after a big fat fit the Asstant store manager shows up by then I'm tired and agitate and just grabbed it and stuffed it in the electric cart.(it hurts still 3 days later) The ass store manager hovered over me all the way to my car, it made me nervous cause he was complaining I was keeping him from other customers (by the way the other customers was standing not having to ride and was buying a gun)! I didn't ask him to follow me to the cash register or to my car, after my purchase was done! He did that on his own! I swear under penalty perjury the above and forgoing is true and correct! read more

Very incompetent pharmacy employee. I spoke with pharmacy employee on Wednesday morning and was told that my prescription had been filled & would be mailed on this same day. Today is Friday. I called the pharmacy because I received a text message about the same prescription, that was suppose to have already been filled, still needing to be refilled. Called pharmacy. Pharmacist refused to give me name of incompetent employee and said that they would speak with employee. I have no faith that this will be done as several mistakes have also been made in the past. If someone is incapable or too lazy to correctly do their job, they should be fired read more

Not as big a selection as the Wal-Mart we were used to. Still the lowest prices around. Non-checkers are awesome very helpful and willing to ask if assistance is needed. Our checker today had zero personality, but that's no different than any Wal-Mart we've been to. Some awesome and obviously enjoy their job and some duds. read more

Well this town only has two grocery stores: Walmart and United. I was really impressed with United but sadly they are on the crappy side of town so I'm forced to shop at Walmart. I don't spend much time in the middle aisles. I usually stock up on the peripherals for veggies, fruits, lean meats and toiletries. Since I am more health conscious these days I want to take the opportunity and highlight where I find the better quality items and figured this will help the newbies in town. Since there isn't a whole foods around I've been pretty bummed about the lack of gourmet and organic foods but there's some perks. The Walmart brand plain Greek yogurt is 10 calories lower than Fage and good quality, you can purchase vegan svelte shakes in the breakfast isle next to the muscle milk (I recommend cappuccino), protein powders and energy bars are in a corner aisle between cosmetics and the pharmacy (see pic for the plant based protein) the triple washed lettuce in the produce aisle (comes in a container not a bag) is perfect for turkey burgers or wraps, there's now WILD OATS is the organic brand and popping up with new items all the time. They have canned sauces and veggies for cooking and there's now at least additional organic coconut oils in the baking aisle. In the past it seemed like they were running out every week so this awesome. I replace butter with coconut oil when baking. The employees can be short staffed in check out lanes but they are all friendly and helpful. I prefer going anytime before 4pm. AVOID shopping after 8PM as the people get sketchy and also, the employees have their giant carts and are restocking product. Welcome to Oklahoma from a Dallas girl *wink* read more

Well folks, this is "THE" social Mecca of this town. Guarentee you'll find someone you know when you stop in here, from town. Overall, pretty clean and organized. Good buys, far from Lawton's prices. However, the selection and size of the store, is quite small. Other Wal-Marts around have bigger selections. But if you need something, and no one else has it, you'll find it here, and if not, go online. Friendly staff, moderately clean restrooms, and a small McDonald's is at your disposal. read more

The prices and taxes are a little high but they do have a decent selection. I just moved here from Japan so its obviously very different but the size and selection all in one store is very convenient. I live on the air force base so I don't come here that often but when I do, I usually find what I can't find at our commisary. read more

Ok its Walmart why a 5 you say. Because of the support they showed the community during the Ice storm. I know its Walmart and they are, well, whatever you say they are. BUT the management at this store insured to the best of their ability that this community was taken care of during that terrible time. Thank you Walmart you were there when we needed you. I have lived in Altus for years and remember what it was like "before Walmart." Walmart has been a big blessing, not only to this town, but to surrounding communities. Before, you had to drive about an hour to get anything you needed besides the basics, and grocery prices were extremely high. Now, it is much better. Besides, they are providing people with jobs that could not be found in what used to be a very tightly closed community. You had to know the boss and be good friends to get hired, or, sadly, someone had to die or retire for there to be a job opening. I love shopping at Walmart. The clerks are friendly and attentive. I am handicapped and have to ride a motorized cart. Everyone, even the shoppers, are so helpful. It's about the only place in town that has plenty of motorized carts. Most places don't have them. And I love their sales! They believe in marking things down even when they don't advertise! It's so fun to find shirts and skirts for $1 apiece sometimes! read more

It's a decent store but it seems to have trouble getting the grocery side stocked during the day. I'm used to seeing huge pallets full of product late at night leaving the floor clear during the day so as not to impede the shopping rush. read more

like alway walmart is pretty cheap and has almost everything you need. being its the only big store in altus i would hope it had everything you would need. most the time the workers are nice but i must warn you the people who shop there are very rude to each other sometimes. But overall its good and nice to see they are starting to have a lot of organic food there too. read more
