I assume this location was designed to cater more to the homeowner who only needs a few things but there's nothing to get here that you can't get at Walmart, Atwood's, or Fox for cheaper. That said, the customer service is great, and its a very nice, clean, and well organized store. This is the first true 'Ace Hardware' brand store I've been to, so maybe all their stores are expensive but its too much for me when I know you can get stuff cheaper in town guaranteed, much less online. I had those tools for 27 years until I sold them at a garage sale so I could buy...That's right NEW Sears tools! In any case I think all Sears are pretty much universal. Been to them all over the country. I'm not saying the one in Altus is better or worse than say the one in Tucson. I'm just using this store because this is where I live and its the store I frequent. I like the one in Lawton too. The 5 star is coming from a place in my heart as well as some practical experience. I personally have never dealt with a Sears employee that did not or was not willing to do whatever it took to make me happy. I have recently been given free parts for a weed eater that I broke just because they had them there and It was the easy thing to do. I've had broken tools replaced on the spot when they had them and ordered immediately when they didn't. I've had things fixed for free at several different stores. They are also one of the last or maybe the last place you can put something on layaway any time of year. In my opinion, across the country, this is the best chain store there is.
