The self checkout is great though, because there is enough space and systems to get people completed quickly. It's pretty hit or miss how the staff will be. They treat you like a criminal at the door leaving: they check your receipt. Depending on how you look, they go above and beyond and will even go through your bags versus just checking the large items. If you can't use self checkout, make sure you don't take the checker's word on your amount of bags. Twice now, I was told I didn't have another bag and found several items were left at the store (and calling doesn't do any good to recover the paid-for items). They seem to always be stocking. Even before the COVID crap. Sometimes it is quite a pain to get down the aisles. Generally though, the stockers are super friendly and will help you navigate around them. This location is what it is. I don't expect much from Walmart anyway, but this location has the bar set even lower.

I did…read moreencounter one employee who was very helpful at showing me where the section I was looking for was. When I first walked in I realized I was wearing a patriotic t-shirt I had bought at a Walmart in Arizona so naturally I wouldn't have the receipt with me. I stopped the first young man with a Walmart shirt on that I encountered and asked him if he would vouch for me that I walked in wearing it and didn't put it on on the store and try to walk out with it. He said, "I don't really care one way or the other." Then he told me they were plenty of cameras so I figured I'd have a record of the fact that I walked in wearing it and stopped worrying but it wasn't a very polite answer. The girl at the cash register just kept staring at me while I was paying. She did say thank you when I was done but was almost glaring at me. You think after they read all the reviews about unpleasant encounters with employees they would try to do a better job of training them to be cheerful. Who wants to go back to the store or you aren't treated like a valued customer? I think this is billed as a super Walmart but I've been in many super Walmarts and I wouldn't think this qualified, too small, not enough variety of merchandise to qualify as a super Walmart.

Now this one is not very organized and often will not get things out in time for the seasonal things. I have seen the manager be very rude and mean to people when it is totally not warranted and I do not go in often because of this. Some if the long term people are nice but seem very worn down by the attitude there. I know there has been numerous complaints and nothing seems to be done. I try to be as nice as possible but thats why I now try to avoid the place since I don't like seeing little old ladies and special needs people getting yelled at or rude comments about them being made. I wouldn't usually give this kind of review but like I said complaints have fallen on deaf ears. We need this business here and I am sure it would thrive even more with a more friendly management - it really cant fail in this economically depressed region and I think that is part of why the company dismisses the complaints!

There is serious clutter, and it's as if the stocking doesn't really get done in a timely manner. I know, that's a weird gripe, but the boxes make it difficult to locate items and get down the aisles. I like they added more food items, but the best addition is the self-checkout. You can get in and out very quickly since it appears most people do not use the self-checkout. I'm a total fan anywhere I go of self-checkout since I'm usually faster than the employees. Speaking of employees, most of the people I've interacted with here haven't been the most friendly employees in the world. There's a couple who look at you like you're a shoplifter or something. I guess not being a local, I get more weird looks. Oh well. If you're looking for a quick shopping trip for an item or two, I would recommend this place instead of other stores in the area. However, just be prepared for clutter and a search for some items.

Their food is generally fresher than the other grocery store in the area. They also have a better selection of the more unusual items. I can get a jug of pickle juice here, which I can't get anywhere else. I wish they had a better vegetarian selection though. They previously did, but I'm not sure what happened. They usually have pretty good sales. Sometimes the items are super cheap!
