Before calling it a night. My sister and I stopped by here to pick up a few items for our long trip the next day. The store is not busy. A few customers were around. And so we navigated the store with ease. We got what we wanted and then went to the register. The register employee was nice and friendly. Asked about our experience and how we were doing. The store has a pretty good selection of products that are available and competitive prices as well. Plenty of parking spaces. read more

It's very disappointing that the Walmarts in Sherwood Park don't have drop off boxes for food bank donations! We shop at Walmart but have to take our donations for The Foodbank to their competitors. They should really change that. The food bank is an extremely important cause, and should be supported year round, not just at Christmas. read more

I really want to like this store because it's my local one but I have so many issues here especially with customer service. I returned two unopened meal replacement supplements with a receipt today. The lady said "Just so you know this will be thrown away" I said ok it's unopened why do you have to throw it away? She said any food item must be thrown away. I said "that sounds like Walmart's problem not mine." She continued to go on about it.... so I said I don't care.... She said "I KNOW YOU DON'T!" WTH lady? How do you know that? Is that the best customer service technique you've got? First off a multi-billion dollar company is tripping on people to return things? Which according to their company policy all you need is a receipt. In this period with enormous economic pressure on everyone it's not cool. Second is it really getting thrown away? Or does Walmart return it to the manufacturer and get a refund? Thirdly isn't bad enough that my charity contribution at the till is essentially a tax write off for Walmart but now returning things is an action to be shamed for??? This Walmart didn't really impress me that much. It is set up fairly similar to the super centres in Edmonton but there are a few differences. I found this Walmart to be a bit dirty. I was surprised at this because Sherwood Park is usually the opposite. Also, people were not friendly. We had people bang into our cart to get by and people were pretty rude. I was shocked. The lineups were short though, I'll give them that. We id go during the day on a Tuesday so that could have been why. But any time you get a short lineup at a Walmart, you should be thankful. It's a decent Walmart, but not the best by any means. read more

This is the closest Walmart to me. I am used to it so I may not notice the things that's others have. I do know that Walmart credit card was a big push. Every time I went the cashiers were giving the same lines. Over and over again. I eventually signed, just to stop the pestering. I've never used it nor will I. They finally stopped, just recently. It is fairly small, but fine for the what I need. Someone mentioned staff...what staff? There are only cashiers to take your money, and one to return it to you. Never, ever, in the 16 years I've been going there, have I ever run into some employee that was there to help. Walmart's are mostly the same, minimal staff, discount stuff, same price as Safeway stuff, and you may pick up a new language. read more

No baskets at door customers have to go to till and grab them selves . Lots of people standing around get to work and have baskets ready for your customers your store ain't that busy! Take some initiative and do your fucking jobs. Another problem I have with Walmart especially this location is every time I'm in there they are full of east Indians and their speaking Punjab when they should be speaking English this is rude to do in front of customers and again this is Canada not India . So please respect my rights as a Canadian I don't speak my second language at work especially in front of customers. Smarten up Walmart management or hire someone who will snap down on this crap!! read more

My 78 yo mom was just tricked into getting a Walmart credit card by a cashier. She had no idea this was happening until it was done. Once she realized - she told them 10 times she did not want this. All the cashier said was it will be ok - you can cancel when it comes. She would not cancel it. I called the store - manager in a "meeting" and couldn't speak with me. The customer service person just kept saying "I understand". This practice is illegal. Everyone- just be careful that this practice is currently happening at the wye Rd Walmart in Sherwood park. The scam starts by the cashier saying you can only pay with cash or debit card. They then asked for a driver's license and credit card for ID. No mention of signing up for credit card. If this has happened to you. Please file a complaint with Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, RCMP, post to social media. They need to stop. read more

This is the Local Walmart I often go to on my way home from work. It doesnt have quite as good of a selection as the other supercentres in the edmonton area but overall it is not terrible. The staff is not helpful at all and the store is somewhat dirty. Overall, its an okay walmart but nothing special. read more

This store has rude Customer Service Manager especially one of the senior ones. The heavy set women with a red Santa hat that had a badge saying 10+ year of service was rude and treated me like I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about. Went in for a Christmas present cause the Canadian website said they had the stock. She took out her phone and went on the website also, but she told me that they didn't have any but the thing was the locations were in Edmonton not Sherwood Park. I said that you need to change the Postal Code to a Sherwood Park one to get the right store. Telling me I was wrong and they didn't have any in stock as she kept pointing to her phone. Ask to speak to a manager and started to argue with me about how they website and her inventory device aren't always right. Still wanted to speak to a manager, before the manager even made it to the front she ran to him and told the manager her side of the story without me present. When the manager (which had no people skills) came up to me and told me the same thing she did. But actually explained that the UPC was in a bundle with others. I asked why the CSM didn't say that in the first place instead of being rude and treating me like I was stupid. He covered for the associate, guess the customer isn't right at this store. I will never shop at this location again, rude front end staff and clueless managers. read more

The Vision Centre here has fantastic staff. Our family of 6 has been coming here for almost a decade and we appreciate the low prices and great service. Just this morning, I dropped off a pair of broken glasses (volleyball) and I have already received a phone call telling me that there is a new frame ready for me, no charge!
