Hit Or Miss
I was kind of appalled when my wife and I went here on the 9th.
There are a few positive things for me to report, though.
Customer Service:
There were 2 associates around at first, and then suddenly only 1.
She was friendly and competent, but we were in line for over 10 minutes (3 shoppers were in front of us). We both grew antsy because our time was limited.
A shopper took the associate's pen. She had another one, but a male associate who kept coming around was out of luck. It was comical and sad seeing him search for another one. I would have given him a pen if I was able to (when I was more of a nerd, I used to have one on me all the time).
We returned a pair of shoes (they were too small for our son).
We didn't have a receipt, but it didn't matter (my wife made it clear that we got the shoes as a gift).
The associate very quickly processed the shoes and gave us a full refund.
Nice.
There's a Suggestion Box, but there were no forms in the tray.
I wonder if they were just out, or if lots of shoppers make "suggestions."
As my friend Maureen mentions, "there were two shootings during Black Friday and Christmas."
That's fine with me.
Incidents like that help to keep the population down. o_O
Um, I mean, watch yourself.
There's now an Auntie Anne's here (it's attached to the Subway kiosk).
I'll buy a Pepperoni Pretzel next time (I better not get shot over it).
Update (6/22):
I had to wait about 5 minutes for it (none were ready), but my Pepperoni Pretzel was very good.
It was $3.82 with tax, and I give it an 8.5/10 (my wife and son liked what I shared with them too).
My wife and I both laughed at a backpack a girl was wearing (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81hT1cNAjwL._SY445_.jpg).
The backpack looked cute, but also filthy, as if Jake the Dog had been digging up bones buried in the dirt.
2 associates were in our way when we started to shop (they were walking in front of us nonchalantly).
One of them even apologized for almost hitting us with her long lanyard (she was swinging it around, and a few items were on it- it could double as a weapon).
A Joke:
The shoe section (the shoes we bought our son were only $9.97, but the section was a disaster zone overall- like my face, it needed some serious attention).
Solid:
The magazine section.
The children's section (we bought a Superman "short set" for $9.88).
The electronics section (the selection of CD's isn't the best, but it's okay).
The women's section (my wife bought a nice V-neck T-shirt for only $4.84).
Impressive:
The greeting cards section.
The grocery section (the selection of beef jerky could be better, but I'm being kind of picky).
A ton of candy is sold here (I couldn't quite find what I was looking for, but other stores in the area have let me down too).
Our cashier was friendly, but a bit slow.
I briefly felt like we were at Costco.
The guy checking receipts took his job at least somewhat seriously.
It was somewhat of a pain exiting the parking lot.
For the most part, this location is fine.
