Lets face it--you go to Walmart for value, not frills. I LOVE this store. And, whats not to love? Just about EVERY purchase here is dramatically lower than the usual supermarket. And not just 5 or 10 cents either. In many cases we are talking about a dollar or 2 difference and that adds up fast. The grocery section, although limited has just about all the basics one would need at a discount. Things like coffee, tea, milk, cheese etc. I have found work out type tank tops and t-shirts on mark-down for THREE dollars. Socks, underwear the same thing. (Perhaps its more of a guy thing to be excited about such things.) They have a great home section to get pillows and small appliances and just about every other item one might need. They don't seem to have a lot of employees but you don't really need them. I visit this store several days a week and always say "Why pay more?" Bravo. read more

This is one of the better Walmarts that I've been to. Parking lot is usually clean and the staff here is very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the prices and it's good to have a Walmart in the area that has a high cost-of-living. Are usually come here to pick up nutrition bars and barbecue supplies. During the process, they kept up conversation, making it a pleasant experience. The tire center is absolutely ridiculous! Takes a half hour to be entered in their system for service. In addition, takes their three employees a millennium to patch a tiny hole. This is a pretty good Walmart. It has improved over the years since they opened. I feel like Walmarts in general have been improving. Before employees would be of absolutely no help, but they have gotten better, but still need improvements. This is a large Walmart, but not the largest and their grocery selection is very limited. However, when they first opened they had no groceries at all. It is located in a shopping center, with a large parking lot. When you call this Walmart the hours say open until 8:30, on here it says 11 pm, but I just talked to an associate and was told they are open until 10 pm. I love the three different closing times!! DO NOT BUY WALMART GIFT CARDS! Walmart does not provide security measures that would prevent or deter fraud as do Target and Visa Gift Cards. I purchased a Walmart Gift Card for my 87 year old mother for Xmas. She lives in another state. Before she even recieved the gift card in the mail, someone fraudulently used the information from the card to purchase 2 smart phones. These were purchased the day after I purchased the gift card At the San Clemente Walmart. Although Walmart has records of these purchases, and other detailed information on the theft, Walmart has concluded that they can't prove "mis-use". Walmart said that I can file a formal complaint with the Customer Relations Manager. I spent 3 hours on the phone trying to reach a "Customer Service Manager" only to be transferred 7 or 8 times (lost count). Eventually I was disconnected. Walmart doesn't care to protect honest customers with a better security system on the gift cards. In addition, I don't think they really have a Customer Relations Manager/department where customers can file a formal complaint. read more

Repeatedly frustrated by this location. They moved all of their liquor behind the "express checkout". The express checkout was never "express", because it's always manned by someone who doesn't seem to be able to master what is a very uncomplicated point of sale system. Furthering the frustration, is the fact that you can only purchase your liquor items in the "Express" line, so when someone has a card malfunction, or some other crisis, you're left standing for anywhere from 10-20 minutes, as we did this evening. read more

If you need help finding something they are absolutely no help. There is no dressing rooms. I found a sweater but no price tag so I grabbed 2 that did same style same color just different sizes just to be sure they said no it's higher in price due to different size. I went to get my tire replaced and I had an appointment for it, but it took 3 hours for it to be done It wasn't their fault for being short staffed but I would like to have gotten a heads up on the phone before making an appointment. Once they actually started working on my car it only took about 40 mins. I watched these poor guys get verbally abused by customers the entire time I was there. I had an experience yesterday with an incredibly rude employee. Her name was LAURA. I was in the makeup section when I politely asked Laura if she could please help me when she has a minute with getting me some eyelashes, she didn't hear me because she had AirPods in. So unprofessional. I politely repeated myself and made myself visible so she could see that I was asking a question. She looks me up and down, takes out her airpod, says "I don't have a key" and continued doing with what she was doing. I wish I said something right then and there but I was so shocked and confused that I just said okay and walked ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK to find a different employee to help me. Who was more kind. She said oh is no one in that department? I told her there was but she said she didn't have a key. She responded back with "I don't have a key either, but let's go get one" THAT is the correct response. Laura's attitude as an employee was rude and unprofessional. You don't have a key?? There was one car ahead of me when I pulled in for an oil change. They verified my cell phone number and would call when ready. They don't answer the phone when you call the main numbeer aMd aaa to be transferred to that department. My car was ready an hour beefire I finally walked back over. The guy at the register tee says, "We got slammed". That is not the type of aanswer a customer wants to receive. He couldn't apologize. Absolutely horrible service. I tried to use their restroom after I was done shopping and I got Yelled at by customer service, because the bathroom is being cleaned - which I had no idea.... I said I'm sorry and waited... Another person went to use the restroom and she was politely told to go to the other restroom in the electronics section. Unbelievably rude. What you save in money with cheaper prices you pay in patience and rage. The absolute worst experience I have ever had with customer service happened right here at this very Walmart. After a lapse in judgement I had the oil changed in my car and set off on an adventure in incompetency. Long story semi-short, I left displeased with my experience and called wanting nothing more than to let my complaint be heard. Once I said my piece I was offered a refund and even though I didn't really want to waste my time going back I thought I might as well since their service was so terrible. But then it got worse. Upon returning I asked for the guy I spoke with on the phone and after waiting something like 10 minutes the assistant manager let me know that the phone guy is conveniently on his lunch break and I won't be getting a refund AND just for good measure makes sure to be extremely rude to my wife. I had gone from upset to irate and eventually the ass. man. told me he can let me have an oil change in the future but I will not be getting a refund. I'm not sure exactly what I said but I let him know that I would NEVER becoming back here so why would I want that? The hard hitting questions were all asked: 'Why was I told I could get a refund if it is, for some unknown reason, impossible?', 'Does the guy that I spoke with know he couldn't give me refund when he told me to drive back here?' and 'Where exactly is that I guy? I'm sure his lunch break is over by now.' But they were all met with non-answers, insincerity and so much disrespect I was sure he was the pink slime from Ghostbusters II - just leeching off my anger. Eventually I just asked where the store manager was because this was beyond ridiculous. The ass. man. informed me the store manager was not in today (of course) but that I could call Walmart's 800 number if I would like . All I could think was 'What is going on here?!?! Is this really life?!?!?!' I was livid and decide it was time to go. On the way out I stopped by the front desk and asked if the store manager is in. I was told he was so I clarified, 'The STORE manager, not ASS. manager?' 'Yes, the store manager' and the lady proceeds to calls him up to the front. I visit this Wal Mart on a weekly basis...or even more. Usually about twice a week actually due to my work. And 99% I go, there's at least 1-3 cop cars in front of Wal Mart. That's a sign. A bad one. I've been to my fair share of Walmarts in CA and in TX. I like this Walmart. No matter how busy it is, there are plenty of hard-working staff around, and I've never come across anyone who isn't anything but friendly, helpful and professional. They are busy restocking and keeping shelves organized while helping customers. The prices at Walmart are better than Target. Lastly, I haven't any issues with getting in and out of the parking lot safely. I don't have to park two miles away from the store as there is plenty of parking too. read more

I purchased a grill online for pickup at this location. Upon arriving and pressing the required green button for service a worker came from the back, looked at me and then continued marking things on a shelf without saying a word to me. Once he was done and acknowledged me, he informed me that the guy who works the floor jack where my grill was, was on break. He then took almost 10 min to locate two other workers to help. The box the grill came in was in taters and pieces where on the verge of falling out. The only reason this isn't getting a lower review is that the grill had all of its pieces. read more

This review is being written based upon the accounts of my wife's recent visit to return something. Girl at return counter apparently hates her job so much, she decided she was going to make everyone as miserable as she was. Employees in store have no idea where anything is, don't even ask them. Customers in store, for the most part, must be bussed in from some of the seediest neighborhoods in the world, because they are downright scary. Walmart used to offer low prices by cutting some corners elsewhere. Walmart now offers average prices while cutting corners everywhere. I went here out of convenience to buy a bottle of champagne and shop with the girlfriend. We checked out SEPARATELY and I was informed they needed to check her ID in order for me to purchase alcohol. NEWS FLASH: Walmart is not Bev-Mo. Walmart sells things other than alcohol, so to refuse to sell me a bottle of champagne because I happened to be shopping with my girlfriend is belligerent age discrimination. The remainder of what we had were groceries. The helpful cashier was sure to inform me of this policy, half mumbling and unable to maintain eye contact, while he messed up and rang my 20 year old girlfriend up for the champagne... If we had not let him know he messed up, she would have paid for that bottle of champagne they refused to sell to 21 year old me. His manager did not even know why they had this policy, her name was Chrissy I believe. If you are going to refuse to sell product to someone of age, and accidentally sell product to someone underage, at least tell the customer why you have such a ridiculous policy. I will not be shopping here anymore. The quality of management is unfit at best and I have not encountered any remarkable floor staff/ cashiers. read more
