It's been a minute since I last shopped here, as I walk in a voice calls "hi Don " and it's Kelly a Nordstrom Sales Representative who has helped me in the past ! Wow talk about a memory she welcomes me back and stated if you need any assistance let her know. Shopped around for a few minutes and I must say this particular store never disappoints, everything is so well organized and maintained ! This Nordstrom Rack location has always been very clean and well put together. I actually am not in love with shopping and typically feel really over stimulated, but this location does not have that effect on me. It feels like everything is spread out and not all crammed together. The staff are really friendly and have always been helpful if I had a question. read more

I had a frustrating experience here Monday night that left an extremely bad impression. I found a pair of boots in-store clearly tagged as "worn and refinished" priced at $90.97. When I asked the associate ringing me up if they would price match their online listing, where a new version of the same boots was listed for less, the manager was called over and he said they couldn't. That was fine, but the situation got super strange after that. I decided not to buy them at the time, and the manager kept the boots behind the counter. About 30 minutes later, I came back to purchase them anyway. The same employee who had helped me earlier retrieved the boots, but this time the tag had been changed. It no longer said "worn and refinished" and was now priced at $119.97. When I questioned it, the same manager was called over and said that was the correct price, but they would make a "one-time exception" for me. The whole situation felt extremely misleading. The item was taken off the floor and returned with a different tag and higher price, with no clear explanation. If I hadn't gone back, someone else may have purchased them without knowing they were previously marked as "worn and refinished." This situation was handled very poorly by the manager and came across as extremely dishonest. I expect better transparency and consistency, especially from a store like Nordstrom Rack. I definitely won't be returning to this location ever again. read more

The store is well stocked with excellent quality items and it looks gorgeous. The staff there is very friendly and willing to help you find what you need. The prices are a great value for high quality clothing and merchandise!. The parking lot can get busy at times but don't let that discourage you from getting excellent bargains!. I'm so glad this store is here in San Clemente, it's a closer drive than Mission Viejo. Keep the good job going! read more

My wardrobe needed a little summer color so I dropped by this newly opened location. Nicely organized when I arrived around midday on Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend. The main checkout line was long (more than 40 ppl) but a very nice employee guided us to one of the two express check outs if paying by credit card. TWICE they almost didn't correctly return items. If I hadn't pointed it out to the employee, I would have been ripped off no money back and no longer have my item in my possession. These were Nordstrom items so $99 for one and $48 for the other. I told the "manager" and she didn't seem to care much other than a basic I'm sorry. They also have TERRIBLE customer service. Other Nordstrom Racks I've been to are fantastic. Strongly advise you shop elsewhere that this location. I'll never go back. read more

The manager here was very rude and unhelpful. I bought a shirt for my husband and it didn't fit him. The tags were still on and it was unworn. I went to return it the next day and the manager told me they were having a special clearance so it's final sale. I told her when I purchased it no one told me it was final sale, the cashier didn't tell me, AND the receipt does not say final sale. My receipt says I can get a refund or exchange. So she tells me if she helps me she has to help everyone so she can't help me and there's a sign in the store near the clearance saying final sale I should have read. When I bought the shirt there was no sign near that shirt that said final sale. I thought Nordstrom was better than this with customer service. read more

Great new addition to the area, brand, new store, fully stocked! The lines aren't too bad yet, but the prices are pretty high. Since the location is new, they don't have much in terms of clearance items yet, but that can change over time. Plenty of easy parking, much-needed, shopping option for the area! read more

Oh this Nordstroms is very nice. I was searching for young ladies 6-14 sizes. I hit the jack box here. I found really nice outfits for the great granddaughters! The store is quite nice, clean and service was excellent! Definitely a great stop! read more

Terrible terrible parking! Great selection of shoes. I went opening weekend so it was a bit busy for my tastes but they have such a good selection for shoes and purses. I couldn't really look at the clothing since it was so busy but I am excited to go back once it dies down a bit. read more

Disappointed that this location does not seem to be a discount store, I have shopped The Rack for years and always felt they were less then the Nordstrom store. I thought this was an error as I purchased this bag in gold and was considering it at Nordstrom, so I am clearly aware of the full retail price on this item and was disappointed that they are passing this off at regular price read more

My husband and I went in today at this location for the first time to find him some work shoes. There are only 2 complaints I have for this place. The first is that the music playing in there is absolutely awful. I get it, you need to appeal to the younger generations, and I am by no means old, but please for the love of Pete, turn it down. Can't hear or discuss anything with anyone or even hear yourself think to decide on clothing purchases. Didn't end up buying anything because we were annoyed with how loud and stupid the playlist was. Please and thank you. The second complaint is, when your employees are mad about something or disappointed in something, have them discuss it anywhere but out on the floor. It looks so bad and sounds so bad when all you hear is the staff complaining about how crappy things are or who did what to who. Discuss it on your break in the break room. Be professional. I wanted to give a shoutout to Josh! He's an employee that should be recognized for his willingness to step up and provide excellent customer service that Nordstrom is known for. I was a little put off by another employee that was clearly miserable at work yesterday. I won't name her name in case she was just having a bad day, but it seemed very clear she was not happy, was avoiding ringing up customers, and she doesn't exemplify what Nordstrom employees are known for. I asked if I could use the $10 note on my account and she couldn't see it on her end for some reason so she told me I didn't have one. She didn't seem willing to try and figure out the issue even when I showed her on the app that I had one available. No fault to her that the system isn't properly working or she isn't properly trained to problem solve, but Josh overheard and willingly offered to step in to assist. Another employee also listened in to learn how to problem solve for the future too, as she was unaware as well. The original cashier even mentioned that this was the second time it had happened during her shift. Thanks Josh for stepping in to make an awkward experience better and helping train those around you. Hopefully more people will get great service now and hopefully the unnamed cranky employee is having a better day! read more

I've been a shopper at Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom for years and years. This store has the worst customer service. I needed to return a dress I purchased because of faulty manufacturing, was happy to receive the same dress as an exchange, but because it was over 60 days they would not return. I get that their business model thrives on seconds and clothing that is not top of the line, but every business I can think of will return something that is defective. The seams and fabric were thin and fragile- as a result the dress fell apart after wearing it for 2 hours. Ridiculous manager. I won't be shopping here again. read more

Unfortunately, both visits to this new store in San Clemente have been unfavorable. Merchandise, fine. Customer service, poor. Specifically a register clerk (Loran) had a very accusatory approach and a spiteful comment toward me on a return. It was a complicated return, however I should have been treated with respect during the transaction especially when I remained courteous. Too bad Loran did not conduct herself in the same manner. Very disappointing for a Nordstrom affiliate. I spoke to the assistant manager as well as the lead associate. Kudos to Jaden for being professional and willing to listen to my concerns about the way I was treated and for processing the return in a timely manner. read more
