Never fails you get 2 pairs and get to the register and the employee says welllllllll you probly don't know this but the 50% Only applies to blah blah blah. Like no, everyone who tried to get me to buy multiple pairs left out the bullshit stipulations. Like, why even have a sign?? Nothing qualifies for your sale. I'm sure some people will get con'd into buying 2 pairs at full price, but there's no 4 pairs sitting on the counter for you to put back. Great store and location. They a great variety of apparel, bags, and of course shoes at decent prices. Yesterday pretty much the entire store was buy one get one 50% off. There are plenty of associates around and always checking in on you to make sure you are doing ok or if you need help finding anything. It was pretty busy on our visit and the line was a bit long but it moves pretty quickly. What I love about this store is they have some favorites but they also have a lot of shoes you cannot find elsewhere. read more

I like Vans clothing & shoes but sometimes I feel like things are slightly overpriced for what you're getting. That's where the outlet comes into play. They always have good deals on t-shirts and other items, but I have also noticed a lot of items are the exact same price as they are online or in stores. There really isn't a huge draw for me to come to the outlets if I can get the same item for the same price at the local Vans store in the mall. I guess if you're looking for just basic items the outlet location is a better draw, but if you're looking for specialty items, there's no need to bother coming here. read more

Stopped in this store yesterday... There was no one greeting anyone, and to be honest - I dont know who was working there... No one stood out to me as an employee in the time I was walking around in there. The store at first glance seems like its all mens clothing and shoes. Off to the left are some racks of childrens shoes and off to the right are some racks of womens shoes. The womens shoes are size 9.5 and up - where I was looking - and there was no rhyme or reason to the setup.... and the shoes were crammed together so much that if more than one person wanted to look at a time there was no room. I came in this past weekend just looking around and was greeted by a sweet girl named Grace. She told me about all the deals and goings on of the store and she seemed very knowledgeable and good at her job, while she was putting things away at the same time. I was also approached by a girl named Aurora who was also very friendly and knowledgeable. She showed me around to a few things that I brought up might interest me and told me all sorts of interesting Vans info. I didn't pick anything out unfortunately but only because every single piece of clothing I own is Vans already. We saw a promotion this morning on the San Clemente Outlets website that Vans had "BOGO 50% off shoes" so we decided to get some matching shoes for our niece and nephew. We were disappointed to find that they were offered at full retail price instead of the discount you would expect at an outlet store, but the shoes were cute enough we thought they were still worth it with the BOGO. The shoes rang up without the BOGO pricing and even after showing the website offer that included no qualifications, they refused to honor. They stated that there were signs in the shoe area that indicated it only applied to sale shoes. Total bait and switch advertising.
