My favorite boutique in San Clemente! Everything in the store is carefully selected by the owner and could not be cuter. The majority of the store is very reasonably priced with some more luxe items offered at a slightly higher price point - it's so worth it! Nothing in the boutique feels cheap or seems like something they got from the Forever 21 supplier (like some other boutiques on Del Mar). The entire Kith & Kin crew is amazing and so helpful. I saw a cute outfit here that I wanted to try on. Came back the next day after checking the hours, and there was a sign that said the salesperson was out getting celery juice. The problem is, they were gone for hours! I found cute items next door though luckily. Came back a day or two later, said it was open at 11:30, I got there at 11:40, it wasn't open. Popped into the store again next door, came back and there was a sign that said "back in 5 minutes", it was up for much longer. Today I once again drove by during hours it should have been open and saw another sign in the door. The outfit I like had been changed out. I wish I could have gotten it, but it seems like either the sales person is never there or the owner doesn't care about trying to do any sales. Doesn't seem like smart business practice and is disrespectful of potential customers' time. read more

Stumbled upon this boutique walking downtown and had to take a peek! So many great options for all price points, walked away with a cute skirt under $60 and a pair of designer jeans along with a cute pair of earrings. So a little of everything! They also are the only retailer in town that carries Acacia, one of my favorite swim brands. The owner is SO nice and helpful. She gave me lots of tips on fit/size and what's been popular with customers. She also has a cute area set up near the dressing rooms with surf videos and cute coffee table books, perfect for my kids to check out while I shop and try things on. Huge plus! I have thought about going back almost every day since... Seriously the most perfect combination of my favorite LA based brands, high end denim, and trendy pieces at affordable price points under their own brand. I had a horrible experience in this store today. My friends and I were looking around and my shoe came untied so I decided to barely prop my foot on a chair in the store to tie my shoe. Keep in mind this chair was ripped, and the cushion was stained. There was no sign or anything of the sorts indicating anything was special about this chair. The person working rudely raised their voice at me to get my foot off of her "vintage chair" so I quickly took my foot off and apologized, not realizing the chair was vintage. I said to her "oh i'm so sorry I didn't realize" and her response was "It doesn't matter for any chair, vintage or not. that's just rude". My friends and I were all taken aback by this behavior and the way she raised her voice and was so snarky. We left the store right after. There is one other review about being treated poorly by this same woman on here, and her response back to them is extremely telling of this person. I was not surprised that there was a history of her behavior and that she responded so crazily. I would be a little less aggressive and rude to your customers next time. And if you don't want someone putting their foot on your vintage chair maybe put a sign up or something. Or maybe don't have an ugly dirty chair that could be confused with vintage. Thank you for having us in your store though. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson for you read more

the lady who was working the shop the day of march 4 2022 seemed to be bipolar. out of sorts and very un-genuine. not great customer service. i was in and out of the store within a few minutes after a rude encounter. the items in the shop were very niche and tacky. high prices and rude workers. hopefully they can get it together soon, what a waste of a great location. read more

Bought a few things from here after moving to San Clemente. I got a really cute two piece white outfit for my rehearsal dinner and a silk cocktail dress a few months later for NYE and my favorite earrings I've ever bought. Super cute stuff, great quality, and reasonably priced. Five stars because the woman who owns the store is the absolute sweetest. The first time I was here she offered my husband a beer while he waited and the second time she helped me find the perfect dress and was so personable. She even gave me her number because she said she had a coat at home that was perfect for my dress I could borrow. I didn't but how nice is that?!?? read more

I stumbled into Kith & Kin Boutique in search of a few staple items for my wardrobe. The owner greeted me immediately and was so friendly! She made suggestions for clothing to try on based on what I was looking for. I purchased a pair of stretchy classic black Pistola pants since my usual black jeans had worn out and was so happy with the fit and quality. However, after a few washes the jeans started pilling. I reached out to Lisa, the owner, and she immediately helped me replace the pants. In a short period of time I had a new pair of the same Pistola pants I love so much at my door to replace the pilled ones. The owner was responsive, accommodating and provided such great service! If I return to San Clemente or the surrounding area I will definitely be stopping in Kith & Kin for some great finds. Thanks Lisa!! read more

I wish I could give this store zero stars because apparently the task of treating possible paying guest with the bare minimum of respect, challenges the staff past their ability. A little embarrassing considering it looks like not much goes on during the week, so I would think you guys would wanna rope in the little customers you actually get. Im not one to tell anyone how to run their business, but it might help to not use such ignorant tones or be hot-headed when it comes to stuff that could have been as simple as a misunderstanding. It's cost nothing to be nice, especially if you are getting paid for it... Also your ego is too high for someone running a boutique shop. Please do not talk down on that other person because they had nobody else to back up their review, it reflects poorly on you, as you should have a neutral or positive response. I don't know what the hell to even label your "response" to that poor woman who was just giving you constructive criticism as, because I am genuinely dumbfounded at your behavior and tone. You need to either research the term "customer service" and "hospitality" or rethink your career path girly pop. There is a reason your shop won't go anywhere but San Clemente, and it's lying within your bad reviews. Get off your high horse and take the critique because it might have a better outcome than whatever you're doing. read more
