I'm parked on a winery patio next to The Cove, nursing a glass of something bold while my wife…read moredisappears into what I can only assume is a portal to fashion nirvana. I don't question it. She emerges happy, and that's all that matters. But here's the thing--The Cove isn't just another beach-town boutique. It's an anomaly. A lone wolf. A place that, by all rights, should be in a hip LA district or some high priced shopping mecca, not wedged between surf shops and dime-a-dozen fast fashion joints. Yet, here it stands, holding its own. I don't pretend to understand women's casual fashion, but even I can recognize quality when I see it. High-end labels. Carefully curated pieces. Stuff that doesn't scream "I bought this off a clearance rack at a strip mall." This is where the sharp-dressed, boho-chic crowd comes to play. A word to the wise: if you see something you like, buy it. Boutique shopping is a cruel mistress--wait too long, and that perfect piece will be gone, never to return. (Discovered on more than one occasion) So if you (or your better half) have a taste for fashion that's actually worth the price tag, The Cove is the move. Me? I'll be next door at the winery next door.

Five star for the…read morewonderful customer services, the many selection on styles of boots and I know my size has limitations but I'm glad to fit a size ten in boots. Searching for a pair of boots in my size was a bit hard, given due to the fact I didn't want to drop over $450 on a good pair ( I know it's an investment but I just wanted a pair for pictures and go to Dollywood) but in the future I'll invest in one. Now upon coming here, I always passed by this store a lot during my time on Del Mar but never really wanted to go in until Friday where I was picking up my dinner from Taqueria Luna (across from them) and had to see what they offer. She told me the biggest size they carry is a ten on which I understand but hey, can't hurt to try some on. Guys...I was not only shocked in the cute cowgirl boots but I was torn between to color, different materials which of course, Paige help me on it. I ended up picking the beige boots since it was leather and it can be stretch upon wearing it, and I freaking love it! They do have a wide selection on boots with different styles and materials, and a lot of heels and sandals too! Not just boots. I also told my bestie to come to see the boots when she have a chance since she too, is looking for a pair. I'll post another update review after my trip with my pair of boots to see how it holds up. My boots cost $129.25 with tax ($119) Honestly, pretty darn good value on boots and yes, I know there is a Boot Country in Nashville on their buy one get three free but I don't want to risk getting blisters during the trip. Gotta get a pair now so I can break them in before the trip.

Helpful hint to the sales women working in the shop...don't ask another woman if they're pregnant unless you are 100% positive. I think that's a good lesson to people everywhere. This may seem completely silly, but think this should be a helpful tip to people everywhere.

(I've never even been there and neither has my mom) Julie facetimed with me until we found a beautiful floral italian silk top in great Leo colors! I felt she was supremely sweet, perfectly patient and helped me choose the ideal gift. We planned for my parents to casually walk into the store on their way to dinner in San Juan Capistrano and they would hand her the wrapped gift as a surprise. I did not realize there were two stores and I had ordered from the San Clemente store. Tanya talked with my dad and then she actually brought the gift as well as flowers to my mom at the restaurant! I feel this was extraordinary and quite generous and I am extremely grateful. For sure, I will continue to treat my mom with gorgeous gems from Inspiration and can't wait to visit as well. They carry gorgeous well made brands and the sales associates have mastered the art of attentiveness.

This would have been alright if she had not proceeded to greet and chat with the next five or so white customers who came in. Additionally, every time my mom went to pick up an accessory, smell a candle, or just look at an object for longer than a few seconds, the woman behind the register would come up to us and quite literally look at and inspect whatever we had just touched. Her eyes followed us wherever we were in the store. I was appalled. Never had I been treated with such disrespect, and her lack of respect and human decency towards my mother was unacceptable.
