Tried to park and take nap in parking lot because I didn't want to buy a hotel room after driving 15 hours and the security lady pulled up, proceeds to beat on my window until I wake up, she then tells me there is no over night parking and demands me to leave. I attempted to tell her I wasn't parking over night just for a few hours but she was not having. There were also motorhomes parked that had been there longer then I had! I was in Walmart today and a little dog, clearly not a service dog, on a leash walking down the main aisle with its owner pooped on the floor near the fresh vegetables area. I informed the "young" manager who said it was disgusting but he cannot question or approach the customer. Is this the most ridiculous "law" (?) or what? I hate going to this walmart, but it is the closest one to where I live so I suck it up and drag myself in anyway when I need things. In two visits to this walmart I had to ask a total of SIX people for help locating ONE item. The first five people either flat out ignored me, proclaimed that it was not their department to help, that they were busy doing something else, etc. The LAST person I asked, who I believe was a manager or assistant manager, waved his arm in a general direction and said it's over there as he continued walking. I came in here tonight to get car products that were out of stock yesterday. The guy im the auto department said they would all be on the shelves by today and none of them were and it is almost closing time. I asked am employee for help, where she directed me to another employee stocking shelves in the laundry detergent aisles and he led me to the car stuff and said, "it isnt here?" and i said, "no, i was told they would go fast so to come get it today and it isnt here." and then he said quite rudely, "welp cant help ya" and walked off. I have shopped at this store for 5 yrs. and it's getting worst every week. Their stocking is horrible. I've taken pictures of their produce and there are empty bins everywhere. Freezers are never stocked full. They have big carts in aisles you can't get by. They stock in the middle of the day. Their produce has rotten food in the bends with bugs swarming. I'm surprised about all the bad reviews. I came here to do a return, the line went fast at customer service. For some reason my return needed manager approval. The manager arrived in less than a minute. Everyone was friendly. Bought some shirts in the mens department. The lady folding shirts asked me if I needed help, I never been asked if I needed help at a Wal Mart before. The electronics department had someone attending customers and the line to check out was fast. This was the best Wal Mart I ever been to. This review is for the AUTO center. Walmart has pretty reasonable prices so when I needed my tire patched up last week I headed down. The gentleman who helped me was polite, friendly, calm, honest, and sincere. I told him I would be back after pay day to purchase two new tires as I needed them pretty badly at this point. And so today I returned and did see the same gentleman and was also helped by another associate. BOTH were friendly, honest, sincere, polite, etc. Never did I hear a complaint or see annoyance in their eyes. And these guys work HARD. In the heat. Under and around cars. Hard work. So anyway I come back to pick up my car and the women INSIDE were bickering with each other. RUDE. I'm standing at the register and being ignored by two OLD LADIES arguing. Two customers even said "you know what, WE'LL GO TO ANOTHER STORE" as to say "you're losing our business" (they were asking for help locating an item they needed to purchase and like me were being ignored.) I, on the other hand, couldn't leave like they did because THEY HAD MY CAR! So awkward. And not to mention they didn't even care about the two customers who left. They know that Walmart will always have enough business. Customer service doesn't matter to these two. I'm then told this register is closed and directed to another register. THAT woman is like "why can't you take her over there??" Um, does ANYBODY want to help me??? Trying to pay you $200 here.....FINALLY she agrees to help me. I pay. Then I ask "where can I find my keys?" The woman says "out there. I'll buzz you out." No direction. Nothing. No communication with the staff outside. Normally someone would bring the keys in and hand them over upon me paying. Normally, someone from the auto department helps me. But today I was unlucky and got help from "the inside staff". Terrible. Luckily the guy from last week recognizes me and I flag him down and ask him for my keys please and he happily gets them for me. Thank God for competent and caring staff. The guys out in the garage deserve ALL credit. Without them, this Walmart would have been burned to the ground by an angry mob. These guys are professionals and have amazing customer service skills. They're also happy to be at work. Please show them courtesy and respect every time you visit!!! read more

I have heard numerous horror stories concerning judgmental staff. One individual was called a "faggot" while another was treated poorly for using food stamps. When I shop here, I have noticed that employees try to avoid confronting customers and rarely ever know where to find an onject when asked. I consider the attitude of employees to be a reflection of management, so I would severely consider shopping elsewhere. read more

Everything was great except that this lady named Maria is very rude and racist and she obviously doesn't have good customer service just because I'm Hispanic and young because she didn't check anyone else and there was other people there I had paid already for some stuff. Lost my phone here a year ago, 100% sure it was stolen by an employee (They wouldn't allow me to see footage) Used a coupon there once and cashier ended up not rining it up on the reciept but took my coupon. Left my shopping bag there (my responsibility, but I also ask the cashier if I have everything... called and told them they told me to come in the next day to come speak with the manager and I asked them what time and then I go there the next day at the time said and they said sorry she's not here we can't help you. So basically, this place let me down I'm a Target shopper now. So basically really wary of this place. The pharmacy is the worst. Even though I had major surgery and my three doctors agreed upon a medicine that I should take the pharmacists refused to fill the prescription. And even when it was pointed out to them that if they looked at my records for the two previous years showing the very same prescription had been filled by them during that period they still decided that they knew more about my medical conditions than my doctors. Since my insurance is contracted with Walmart going to another pharmacy meant that my cost was $230 for the prescription rather than $4 with my Walmart Medicare prescription insurance. They were rude, uncaring and refused to speak to my doctor who prescribed the medication to understand why it was necessary for me to take the medication. I am still shaking and upset by the way I was treated. It was a simply horrible experience. Think twice before using this pharmacy. read more

I have been shopping at this Rx for about six years. What I love about this place is they give all your drugs at the same time. You don't have to go three times in a week for your monthly drugs. I take care of 4 people and I pick up the meds for them all on the same day. I don't have time to go back three or times when other Rx places make u do. But it is true you have to be on top of your refills and prior authorization . They are very helpful with all types of insurance and they treat you very nice even when some of patients are on Medicare because they are over 65 years old. I thank u very much!! I worked at this Walmart, and it is the worse of all the retail stores I ever worked for, and ever shopped in. First, management does not treat everyone equally with consideration and respect. Second, they do not train their employees well enough to perform their jobs well before they start harassing you. Third, they have you work demeaning jobs that you weren't hire to do, such as, being hired as a sales clerk but later have you mopping the floors in the store, or at the last minute have you clean out the frozen foods section (be careful of what you buy because I saw many items with expired dates). Forth, they seem not to stand behind their policies, only to use them to their convenience. Fifth, they seem not to stand behind their minority employees because they treat certain people with less respect and consideration. Sixth, supervisor(s) will take you outside of the store to have a private conversation regarding you, and/or your job, as not to incriminate themselves. As for me, this store has ruined my attitude to shop at this store or their chain of stores, primarily due to management's interactions and mistreatments of their employee(s), and expired produce and food items. read more

Its kills me to even give this store one star. For the last couple of years the shelves are empty and this store doesn't even keep the most basic items in stock. Spoke to 5 or 6 managers and all have lame excuses. Just the other night asked why they have been out of milk, creamer, shampoo and tooth paste for the last two months. Employee said its in the back give me few and I'll bring out what you need, 25 mins later I see the same employee laughing with a co worker. As I asked about the item he was bring out he said he forgot and would go and get it right away. This is the typical customer service we have had to deal with in San Clemente but now we have a Target!! I left my basket and drove to Target - got everything I needed and then some, helpful staff and no waiting!! I gave Walmart plenty of chances but I'd done and its doesn't sound like much but my average spending of $100 - $140 a week will now go to Target. read more

Worst phone customer service I've ever experienced. I ended up having to call three times after being hung up on twice. I was calling to ask if they had a certain party favor item in stock and they originally transferred me to electronics. Once the electronics department realized they couldn't help me, they transferred me to pharmacy. The pharmacy? Really? Which I never actually got to speak to the pharmacy since I was then hung up on. The second time I called the initial contact person tried transferring me yet again (to who, I have no idea) but yet again I was hung up on. Pretty annoying. read more

As a disabled person I hate coming to Walmart. I brought a friend there yesterday that wanted a cheap sewing machine. I normally refuse to shop at Walmart because its dirty, shopping carts never wheel straight, and they only have 1 electric cart for disabled people. Oh, they do have a broken one that's been there for at least a year. They used to have 4 of them just a year or 2 ago, but I guess management doesn't want disabled people shopping there. So once again I declare I will never step foot in Walmart and stick to the clean, helpful Target store where I don't need to use the electric cart because even being on crutches the carts move easily and go where they are pointed. But they also have plenty of "charged electric carts" for disabled people. I agree about those people must be bussed in because they sure don't seem from around the area. Just please keep them at Walmart where they are expected. I do wonder how a store that isn't really that old can end up so trashed? Seriously, I think they need new management! read more

I have lived in San Clemente for more than 20 years and was really happy when this store opened in 1999. That being said, this is not the store I began shopping in all those years ago. I had a dreadful experience last night at the photo center and will never use any Walmart photo center again. You can't just drop off a CD at the counter any more and ask for prints, you have to use those self-service kiosks that are not user friendly. I didn't intend to wait an hour for the photos to be done, thinking that if I came back a day or two later, my photos would be neatly placed into an envelope with my name on it, you know, like it used to be done, and I could pick them up. Wrong! When I asked the dingbat who worked there, she informed me she had "thrown out" a bunch of photos that day that people had not picked up! I was stunned! Really? Tossed out photos I took the time to edit? Then she told me the printer didn't work, so I couldn't start over again. Her total indifference and beyond lousy customer service was astonishing! I told her how I felt about photos being tossed out by employees and left the store hopping mad. I didn't even try to find someone to complain to because I know there would be no one and they wouldn't care, anyway. So word to the wise, if you must shop at this store, don't use the photo center. Go to Costco or Target, where they actually put your photos in an envelope for you to pick up. read more

I made the mistake of getting the oil changed in my car at this Walmart on Wednesday December 20, 2011. Everything seemed to go smoothly at the time, until I started noticing an oil leak a few days later. I let a couple days pass while I observed the leak and was able to pinpoint it to both the oil plug and filter. At this time I was in Glendale, AZ, so I took it to a Walmart there, where the automotive technicians explained to me that the San Clemente Walmart forced the wrong plug into my oil pan stripping it. The SC Walmart is now disputing the damage that they caused, claiming they did nothing wrong, even though I have technicians who work for the same company in another state telling me something different. I now have to get a quote from a shop that actually repairs damage like this and sit and wait for the Walmart claims department to call me at their convenience. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING! ESPECIALLY IF IT INVOLVES YOUR VEHICLE! read more

Whatever you do, don't go here!!!!!!! Not only is it super shady, most employees don't speak a lick of English. What little produce they do have is full of fruit flies and stinks. They proudly advertise that they price match. Tried to price match and use a coupon and was told it was one or the other. I can't price match with an add and use a coupon. Complete load of crap. Some employees won't take my regular coupons and some will. I get glares from cashiers when I do use a coupon and if it beeps (coupons often do) they refuse to see if it matches, I'm just told if it beeps once they won't take it. I have left the register full of merchandise countless times because cashiers refused to take my coupons for valid items. Sometimes it had to be pictures on the coupon (which is not correct, it is based on the product name) and sometimes they won't take an "any item of this brand" coupon. Don't waste your time here, it's not worth it. read more
