Came here for an emergency run for allergy meds. It was only 10 minutes from the San Mateo campground which was a plus. Although I wasn't driving I was worried about finding quick parkiing after seeing the street parking already filled. Turns out that CVS has their designated parking. It made it easy for an easy and quick grab and go stop. The employee that helped with unlocking the med display was not a peoples person no really interaction. The store was clean and organized and the shelves looked well stocked. It's a good store if ever in need of your basics. It's a store I would return to if needed. read more

Very concerned about the welfare of the employees working here. They seem extremely overworked, underpaid, and stressed. It's a completely depressing experience shopping at this CVS location. The corporate CVS company really needs to inject some money into this branch to get it on par to the other San Clemente location. The fridges seem broken often, product displays are messy, and merchandise is always out of stock. The unequipped staff here have my utmost empathy. Poor souls. Corporate needs to wake up. read more

Whoever the asian older lady working the register was tonight (12/1) has a horrible attitude. I don't usually ever write reviews as someone who also works in customer service jobs but she was soooo rude to everyone in line. When she asked one guy in front of me in line to go to self checkout and he said he couldn't because he was paying cash, she acted so put out. Then, as she's helping the lady in front of me, she asks if I need anything. I say yes that I am picking up photos and she rolled her eyes. My mom and I literally laughed because we were like what is happening. We just waited 20 mins in line and have no other option than to pickup the photos from her. Super nice and helpful pharmacy staff that is constrained by an antiquated system for filling and keeping even repeated prescriptions in stock. Even on the best days it takes 10-15 minutes to get a simple prescription with no problems. Considering this location is ALWAYS busy, it usually takes more than half an hour to be done. This most recent time it took more than 45 minutes before I was able to leave. Even after I was initially helped it took more than 10 minutes before she came back to continue the transaction, but then said another employee needed to do a DUR (whatever that is) to continue, which I waited 15 minutes and the lady talking to customers had to remind this other employee a second time before I was helped. Just go to Rite-Aid. My partner goes there and it takes her 5 minutes from the minute she steps in the door to the time she leaves. It's only a couple blocks away and supposedly it's cheaper too. read more

This place is the reason folks do Costco and/or mail order. place has gone to pot since sometime late in 2023. Its also ridic expensive on just about everything. Get that stuff at walmart & target on sale, yo. Be nice to have a 24 hour pharmacy somewhere in the area, but w/out the crazy mofos on/around El Camino Real and the folks bolting out the door with merchandise and often pills. This will never be any of that. If it were a city, this is a rotting city where the business and populations moved to the newer neighborhoods. The staff is what population is left behind. Terrible staff at the store. I tried this CVS b/c the one on El Camino Real was so bad. This place is only slightly better as far as inventory. But the staff was rude and made absolutely no effort. Ilsa at checkout said not a word, rang up my purchases, then said, "Here", handed me my receipt, turned away without even a thank you, left all my items right there with no effort to put them back in my bag once scanned. Whaaaaat? Do we need to pay a better wage to get polite people these days? I guess I will look for another CVS to try. If they are no better, I'm switching to a different pharmacy! CVS is just OK. Parking challenging at times. It was a nightmare to get vaccinated there. Normally staff is pleasant especially at front cash register; in pharmacy it is more hit or miss. Often they are out of stuff i need like J&J dental floss or Selsun Blue shampoo or sponge makeup swabs. But Candy selection excellent and nuts are good too. read more

I entered a CVS in San Clemente paused scanning the store, looking for the photo department. I saw an agent stocking the shelf and walked up to her and asked where was the photo department as I was needing a passport photo. She said, "just get in line at the register and they will help you. I took my place in line behind 2 other customers. When I got up to the register I said I need to have a passport photo taken. The cashier said to me to have a seat on a stool. I looked around and saw a stool section to the right of the registers. I sat on a stool waiting for the cashier to assist me. At that time there was one person in line and the cashier checked him out. I thought great she'll be right over to assist me. No, three more customers got in line and she continued to check all three of them out. Then another customer came and she checked her out. Without saying a word during this time she then came over to the stool where I was sitting and said, "stand in front of the white screen." Now turn around and face me." You're to close, back up, she said." Then she snapped two photos and processed my order. The photo light flicked and I saw my order was ready to process. Instead of continuing with my order she stepped back to the register and checked out other customers. She returned and picked up my order, cropped it, and said come to the register. I proceeded to the register to pay for my order and I had to wait in line as she took other customers even though I was there before any of them. I had to get to the end of the line and wait again!!!!!!!!! I finally paid for my photo and she screamed out at me as I was leaving the store in a very extremely sarcastically voice then chuckling, "Have a great day." Not once did she say sorry for having to wait while I checked out all the other customers. Not once did she say sorry for the inconvenience. I'm 68 years old. It wouldn't matter if I was 10 years old or 98 years old. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by someone who is supposed to be representing CVS. Extremely rude. Disrespectful. I don't know if I will ever shop at this CVS ever again. There is no excuse for such behavior. Many stores are understaffed, workers overextended. NONE OF THEM ARE RUDE! I have never experienced such disrespect as a customer. I would like to leave NO STARS!!!! I did not respond or voice my dissatisfaction to the cashier because I was so taken back and dumbfounded by the total experience! read more

Let me start by saying I had to get this item for work. So I go to pick up a prescription and it takes them 45 mins to fill it and then give it to me. All in the mean time while I'm waiting it was extremely disappointing to over hear an employee say to another customer and I quote her "I don't give a shit they can wait for all I care." That's awesome to know. Won't be coming back considering a pharmacy you're supposed to trust and care for your home health has employees like this who work there. She's the fat white woman who wears glasses. So if you go you know who that is considering it's a very diverse department. read more

The waiting time to get your medications is an average of 30 -40 minute wait. This is of course after your medication is ready for pick up. I've never experienced anything like this. Unless you have time to waste I would absolutely not recommend this cvs. read more

The pharmacy has attitudes! The WORSE part of this pharmacy IS the hold time to speak to a pharmacist. The first time was on hold 26minutes, the 2nd time has been OVER 35minutes!!... still no answer, yes' I can drive there faster, but after listening to 20 different prompts to EVEN reach the pharmacy, being on hold over 30minutes is ridiculous! Also, when you do go in the store, half are rude,.... not all of them, but some can't be bothered... I wouldn't go here & go to another pharmacy if it wasn't just up the street! About ready to transfer to RiteAid across street, as being on hold to speak to someone is unreal here! We scheduled a drive through Covid test 2 days in advance. I completed the online paperwork and phone calls required. We arrived early and were kept waiting an hour past our scheduled appointment time, which honestly is not great but doable. When it was our turn she told us they no longer have anyone to do the test????? What? She then lied and said she tried to contact us- this didn't happen!!! A colossal waste of probably 4 hours plus all the planning for this. Not cool cvs . Thanks a lot for causing us more stress in such a stressful time. read more

Currently sitting in cvs, this is the 4th maybe 5th straight they have neglected one of my medications because it's a 'controlled substance' (at least it's the only one they seem to have trouble filling). I actually watched someone pull the prescription from a basket because she knew exactly who I was and say someone 'deleted it'. They've misplaced my prescriptions multiple times, and I've had to 'wait for the next shipment' which is usually 4 days after the fact. When I called the automated voice said my 2 prescriptions were going to be ready at 10:08PM they aren't even open that late. Not to mention when I got ahold of someone they said the 2 were ready. They need new training or something. This is ridiculous. This pharmacy needs an audit. Whoever is in charge of keeping up on pharmacy on-goings needs to either step it up or they need to be shut down. I'm not the only one who has experienced this kind of poor service here either. Multiple friends have tried to get the same prescription filled here and they make it so hard to get our medicine. Unbelievable. read more

This CVS needs help! I don't usually write reviews for pharmacies, but this CVS needs help desperately because it's nowhere as nice as all the others I've been in. DRIVE THROUGH ( Rating 0 ) The drive through pharmacy is THE WORST EVER! The shape of the drive through and the curbs ensure you WILL scrape you tires on entry or exit and it is IMPOSSIBLE to handle a transaction through their service window. Each time I go I have to open my door to give or receive anything. This alone is enough for me to switch to Rite Aid directly across the street. Somebody from CVS corporate needs to WAKE UP! INTERIOR (Rating 2) I've found the interior of the store to feel old and in need of renovation. It's just not on par with other pharmacies. It's not bad enough that I would never use them, but close. SERVICE (Rating 3) While the employees I've encountered have been nice, lines are typically long as transactions seem to take longer than they should. Maybe that's just because I want out of there so bad. The employees seem like they have been there forever and don't have allot of enthusiasm about their job. I think there's allot that could be done with a little training and revitalization of the staff. read more

They also rudely interacted with us and didnt bag our stuff, instead placed it far from us to where we couldn't reach. They chit chatted and took their sweet time to help us out.
