The CVS pharmacy in San Clemente has some of the rudest workers I have ever met. They canceled our self checkout to make us pay in front. They also rudely interacted with us and didnt bag our stuff, instead placed it far from us to where we couldn't reach. They chit chatted and took their sweet time to help us out. By. far one of the worst experiences ever! read more

I get it. With Covid 19 happening wait times are longer and the staff is doing the best they can. Even with that if I could leave zero stars for this location I would. I went through the CVS website and scheduled an appt to be tested for Covid 19. I then was asked a series of questions which I fully filled out on their site. I then received a text message confirming my appt. And a seperate text message with instructions on how to cancel. Lastly I received an email with a confirmation email. It took me 30 mins to drive to this location as the more local ones had no availability for testing. I got in the line at 11:10am even though my appt was for 11:30am. AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER I was finally at the window. The you lady at the window took my insurance card and Driver's license. After returning them to me she then asks me did somebody call you? I reply No. She then asks did I call the pharmacy? I replied No. There are zero instructions or notifications to call the pharmacy or that you will receive a call on their website or email. She then tells me well you need to register which apparently can ONLY happen over the phone (This can NOT be done at the window no matter how long you waited). In which case I would have to reschedule and do this whole ordeal over again!!! I told her I answered all the questions on the website and have an email confirmation. She is adamant that they tried to call me and verified my cell number with me. I have NO missed calls in my cell phone. Why do they not ask their customers to pull into a parking space and wait for a phone call at that time??? Since, this part of the process is so essential!!! Get it done. After getting home I called to voice my frustrations only to be told the manager is not in and for me to call her back?!?! Why am I calling the manager back? This is horrible customer service. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this location ever nor calling back their manager. I'm sure their is staff are good people. But this process especially the phantom phone call SUCKS to the upteenth degree! read more

The absolute worst drive-thru pharmacy. How does it take 1 hour to move 4 cars through? Employees have no sense of urgency. I will never use a CVS pharmarcy again because of this location's awful customer service. read more

I would leave no stars if I could. Had a horrible experience watching the manager degrade this poor girl in front of all the patrons. Had to go through self checkout just to avoid interaction with that horrible person. Will not be returning. This reputable of a establishment needs a better leader. read more

I wanted to give this CVS location a chance but I have been continually let-down by not only their poor selection of products but also the customer service (or lack thereof). It is apparent that the staff at this location do not want to be there. Save yourself the hassle (and headache!) and opt for the Rite-aid right across the street - you'll have a much better experience read more

Nothing urks me more when they say the bathrooms broken and turn you away. So both the mens and womens are broken at the same time? Where do the employees go? Of course theres a bathroom available they just dont want to share it with the customers and/or they dont want to risk the chance of actually having to do a little cleaning. How selfish, right? read more

Just spoke with Cathy the pharmacist over the phone, not only was she super sweet she was so helpful in regards to all my questions and concerns. Props to her! thank you so much!!! read more

This is a discussion of customer service and general store cleanliness. We have lived in San Clemente over 20 years using CVS exclusively until the last year and 1/2. The pharmacy still does a good job considering all but the rest of the store is sub par except for the women employees . Because CVS has a product I use and its not available at RiteAid, I still shop at CVS for1 item every couple of weeks. A male employee, tall and slender late 40's to 50 years old, is the reason for this very poor review as well as the general cleanliness and run down condition of the store. The past three times I have been in the checkout line he is sitting on the counter and only gets off to call out "next" ! He is rude and dismissive, but the biggest problem on his part and his manager is he is allowed to sit on a counter where customers place their purchases! Not on a chair if he's infirm, but a counter where his rear end comes in contact with the product one is buying! Unbelievable! The CVS management needs to help him understand the duties and behaviors appropriate for his job and a mandatory study in social awareness and etiquette.. I am writing to corporate to file a complaint as well. read more

Drive through for the pharmacy is an absolute joke. Baffled why they can't get their act together. There seems to be a complete lack of pride in what they're doing. Maybe short staffed? As the Mgr of the store at what point do you take these reviews to heart and do something about it? read more

I scheduled a covid test for 4PM and made it to the drive thru at 4:05 PM. They denied me getting tested because I was FIVE MINUTES LATE. Get a covid test somewhere else. read more

The worst!!! Purchased an eBay gift card from this location and it was scammed the next day after activation - CVS is not taking any responsibility for selling a compromised product. They are truly terrible. read more

Kathy is fantastic there. I've been having problems with my insurance and she was very patient with me and helpful.

Bushes around parking lot filled with beer and vodka/whiskey bottles, cigarette butts all over. One bush looked like someone had been living under it. Graffiti above dumpster. Drive-thru pharmacy took 1/2 hour to get through, although the lady was very nice. I won't be going back. read more

Genaro at the CVS store on North El Camino Real in San Clemente is outstanding in his professionalism, customer service, can do attitude and pleasant demeanor. A great addition to San Clemente! Thank you! read more

Kelly is the best at this location. Super friendly staff, always quick and helpful. Thanks, guys!

I've tried to be a fan of this location, I really have. I drive from San Juan Capistrano but today's the end of that. I walked in and the register clerk and another male employee stared at me as I walked to the coupon machine. No greeting, no smile, just stares. At checkout the indifferent female clerk had someone in front of me so I placed my items behind that person's things. I tried to move them along but this witch said "I need those moved up here". Oh, please! There's a way to say that with a pleasant smile but she does not smile. And lest there be any confusion, this was Register #01. TRN#3628, CSHR#0587905, STR#8893. Helped by AERIALA. She has very black hair and is unable to smile. She has been there for years and I have no idea why. She's been miserable before and today she was especially so. Someone needs to tell her she's not doing customers a favor. Without us she'd have no job and with me, she's got one less. Who acts like that anymore and how many bad reviews do you CVS folks need regarding her? read more

Takes way way way too long to pick up prescriptions here. No matter what time of day, it always takes way too long to pick up prescriptions. Looks like they should hire more people to help. read more

I went to CVS tonight and had incredible service from Ricky at the register when my payment method wasn't working. Ricky was persistent and helped until my Venmo was up and running. Thanks for going the extra mile! read more

How can one store be sooooo bad?!? Ready to switch pharmacies. I have never dealt with worst customer service or slower customer service in my life. Every month it's at least 45+ mins to pick up a prescription. What is up with this pharmacy?!? read more

Couldn't answer a simple stock question. Couldn't be bothered with looking to see just answered my query with oh I'm not sure we have that maybe we use to and then click hung up on me. CVS is terrible. read more

The pharmacy is terrible. I came in three times to pick up a prescription they said was ready, only to be told they still hadn't filled it. Each time I said they would complete it and promised it would be ready the next day. The next day...same story. I feel they lied to me to pacify me then forgot the commitment they made as soon as I left. This place can't keep up with demand and it's customer service is one insincere apology after another. The story above isn't an anomaly, every time I've come here it's been a circus. No more...I can find other pharmacies. read more

Worst Covid testing experience. Had an appointment for 1010 got in line at 0950 and an hour later finally had testing done. The website and confirmation email explicitly state to wear a mask AT ALL TIMES until instructed to remove. The guy in front of me had no mask on windows down for twenty minutes. When it was finally my turn and explained to the pharmacy tech that that is not best practice he asked me if I knew who Anthony Fauci was. Seriously? Also the test is being run under the auspices of Minute Clinic and yet there is no Minute Clinic Nurse Practitioner to be seen. The entire testing is being run by a pharmacy tech. How is that under their scope of practice??? I know it's hard to find testing right now, but please for your own safety and sanity, go somewhere else. I will not be recommending this to my patients. read more

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST PHARMACY EVER!!!! I literally have a problem with them every single month trying to fill my prescription! They tell me my meds are ready and then they call me to say they don't have stock and I have to wait another two days to get them.. I hate this place with a passion! Everyone that works there are complete ass holes and don't want to even try to help you. I have no clue how these people are still employed. They need a whole new crew that will actually be willing to do their jobs! STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Take the extra time and drive to a different Walgreens or Rite Aid!!! I've been coming to this location for the past 5 months because it's only about 7 minutes from our house. It's consistently a frustration because of the poor customer service and inept employees. The older lady with long dark hair is the worst and super rude. Her "I don't give a shit attitude" has been apparent every time I've come in. She's worse than a government employee! I asked what my balance was on my reward points when I went to check out and how they worked. Her response was "I don't know how it works". She handed me my receipt (after I had to ask about the points again) and said "You can read it on your own", referring to the bottom of the receipt. I'm used to Walgreens where you spend $ x.xx amt and get $x back. It doesn't seem to be the case at CVS. The photo department (if you can call it that) is also terrible!!! It's stashed in a corner with no signage. I sent pics there through the app. Went to pick them up after receiving the email that they were ready. When I arrived, my pictures were still sitting on the printer tray. Several were printed wrong and the photo guy told me it was MY mistake He called me AFTER I left to tell me that they had found my other pictures that were printed correctly. So unprofessional! I will be making the drive elsewhere for our pharmacy and quick grocery needs. Such a shame! read more

Pharmacy girl very RUDE!!!! I'm guessing she wasn't happy working on the day after thanksgiving. Enjoy your job! Be thankful you have a job!!!! Dirty blonde hair in a ponytail and glasses I didn't get her name !!! Next time be a nice person please!! It's not a bad job to have right now!! Thank you! Will never shop at that pharmacy ever!!! Will keep my business else where! Bye target cvs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No stars for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will definitely stay with cvs on Camino de los mares for good! read more

Worse service ever at the pharmacy. Had the wrong medicine and then they rolled their eyes at me.

Worst experience in the world. Tried for 2 hours to get information about Covid-19 anti-viral medications. People who are this sick don't feel like getting lost in the endless loop of automated prompts alternating with people who don't know the answers and want to transfer you back to the another number where people don't know the answers. Bottom Line: There is no way to even find out if might qualify for Covid-19 antiviral medications without going to the site in person (thereby infecting other people). We need a telemedicine option for this people. And, your website, phone system and staff training needs to be better. read more

Hands down the WORST pharmacy staff I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They will put you on hold until you hang up if they don't want to deal with you. One time they wouldn't tell me WHEN my dads meds would be ready to get picked up because of HIPAA, bunch of clueless wonders. Just try to get you meds in a few hours and you'll get them the next day...maybe read more

Every time I visit this pharmacy (not the CVS itself, just the pharmacy) the staff have poor customer service. They often chat amongst themselves and don't greet customers. It's always a long wait and the service has never been friendly...I am switching pharmacies even though it'll be a longer drive for me. Terrible customer service. read more

What is the point of the drive through if they won't assist you ?! It's raining and my 14 month old infant is sleeping. There was no one in line behind me and I needed to give them new insurance card information but said she couldn't do it and I had to come in. But I could pay the $10 even though I have insurance I pay for that would cover it fully. Poor customer service and have some compassion , I have an infant and I'm picking up antidepressant medication. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Baby stuff - Drugstores Near Me - San Clemente, California

Worst pharmacy EVER! If you need a prescription, please go to any other pharmacy but this one. They tell you it's gonna be 30 minutes for your prescription but ends up being hours if not the Next day. Cvs is really going down the drain. Nothing good in this store. The prices are so flippin expensive on the other things in the store. The only good and positive thing here is a lady named Laura putting the prescriptions through the system She knows how to handle that aspect of it better than the pharmacist. They finally got a little more help from Hayley and Brandon but need much, much more help to make it better. read more

This review is for the pharmacy alone. Every time I have to pick up a prescription I pray that it's an easy walk in and walk out. But unfortunately there is ALWAYS a huge line. Another thing, every worker at the pharmacy is rude. Today I witness a worker roll her eyes at a customer (twice!) and another yelling at a costumer while at check out. I understand they are over whelmed and busy but put a freaking smile on. Things could be worst. Be nice to your customers and make it more enjoyable. Absolutely awful!!!!!! Moving to a different pharmacy ASAP. I've had enough. read more

If I could give a zero I would!! First, my doctor calls in a prescription and when I go in and give my name they tell me there is no prescription called in under my name. I start looking through my emails because I received a confirmation from CVS that it was here. They finally confirm that in fact I do have a prescription. They then proceed to tell me I will have to wait 45 minutes because there is no pharmacist on staff to fill the prescription. How in the world do you run a pharmacy without a pharmacist!!!! Extremely inconvenient for me! Advice - call ahead and make sure they can do their job before you go otherwise you will waste a lot of time!!! read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for years now and lately there service is unacceptable. After going to pick up a simple antibiotic prescription that cost $190 and several phone calls, we came back to pickup the right one and can't give it to me because pharmacist was at lunch. Ridiculous! People don't have time to waste on this. Also lines are always long and slow. read more
