Pharmacists Dan and Valentina are absolute professionals who truly CARE about their patients/customers and go above and beyond to ensure the are consistently giving the best customer service. Even with the ridiculous red tape of insurance companies, state regulations on "controlled substance" medications and backorder issues with suppliers, Dan and Valentina (and their awesome pharmacy staff at Walmart Santee, especially Destany and Antwanet (apologies if misspelled!)) continue to keep the bar high to get prescriptions filled quickly and without hassle whenever possible. I'm so grateful for the team at this pharmacy for making what could be very frustrating go as smoothly as possible for us (the customers), despite the circumstances that always seem to challenge that goal. They close whenever they want went to get an urgent prescription and they advertise close at 7pm so this is where I had urgent care send my Rx showed up to find a handwritten "closed" sign and all the gates locked. WTF Walmart read more

This pharmacy is a rare reminder that good, caring people still exist in this field. I've used them twice and both experiences were consistently positive--helpful, friendly, and they actually answer the phone. My dad picked up my prescriptions and even he noticed how welcoming the pharmacy and the store were overall. For him to comment on that says everything. read more

I dread having to come here.They are the slowest and most hard to deal with. Signs are all confusing all the pharmacists are extremely unpleasant.it I tried to ask which medications my doctor gave me and she said we're working on it she didn't even want to answer my question. I have had my prescriptions filled at the Walmart Pharmacy in Santee, CA for many years. Valantina and Dan and all the staff are top notch. They are professional, friendly, and always very helpful. I've been going to this pharmacy for 20+ years and I've never had an issue getting my medications in a timely manner. Valentina is very sweet and helpful. I can't say the same for all of the staff at the Santee Walmart, but the pharmacy is reliable. read more

Don't waste your time with the pharmacy at this Walmart. They're a joke! My husband's doctor sent over his prescription at 10:30am. I dropped in at 2:20pm to get it and they tell me our insurance says it will only cover a 7 day supply. I said ok that's fine I will pay the cash price. She then said oh well since we didn't know we haven't filled it. I ask why they didn't call me in that almost 4 hours to ask what we wanted to do! My husband is at home with a broken ankle and zero pain meds. Then the pharmacist says it will be at least an hour before he can get to it! Such a joke! read more

Horrible and has made me decide to avoid Walmart altogether. Magically messed up my prescriptions and had no explanation. Now I can't get refills from my doctor (even thought I had 3 when Walmart magically "deactivated" them). LOVE having arthritis without my medication. Love just LOVE being sick. Marianna Walmart Pharmacy: I had prescriptions for my kids called into the pharmacy from their doctors office. Because we don't live right in the area I had to kill time until the prescriptions were ready. I called to check on the prescription status and the tech I spoke to (Tabitha) told me they were going to lunch soon and I advised her that I was just waiting around for them before I could take my kids home and she said if I could be there in 10 minutes, they'd have them ready for me. So, I got to Walmart raced through the parking lot just to get to the pharmacy clearly out of breath with my two small children at 1:29 (they close at 1:30) and the windows were already closed and they were leaving for lunch. All the staff walked out of the pharmacy, when I'm standing there with my kids kind of going "what the heck I am cutting it close, but I still made it." They walked right past me and ignored me, knowing exactly who I was. When I advised the pharmacist of the situation instead of taking an extra minute and a half to grab my medicines for me, (after working in customer service most of my life I would've done this) she said well we have to eat. Appalled at the lack of empathy and decency one should have, when working with the public, I proceeded to just sit for 30 minutes and wait on them with my children. When they got back, no one acknowledged me, no one apologized and when I said you guys really need to work on your customer service when you tell someone you're going to wait for them you really should. They completely ignored me! No response and no eye contact. Came down to the pharmacist at the end of the day. Clearly they need team training in customer service because it was unprofessional to make me sit there when you said you'd wait for me. Yes I made it at the last minute. That's where the "go the extra mile" comes in play. Too bad very few people these days understand this concept. Very unprofessional. Extremely disappointed. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever!!! Every time I go in with multiple prescriptions they are inevitably out of at least one. There are times I get the text that my medicine is ready for pickup when in fact it is not. Today I was informed that again they do not have my medication and that I need to call other Walmart's to find it. When I asked why I am having to do it I was told by Saad that he needed to help customers and I would have to do it if I wanted my medicine! So apparently now I am not a customer because they don't have my medication... oook. Will be looking for a new pharmacy, this was the last straw! read more

Wait is always excruciatingly long. I have had to use this Pharmacy for the past 9 months for my elderly parents and everytime I go I have to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour even if the prescriptions are called in a day ahead of time. Not once has a prescription been ready when I went to pick it up. Maybe I am just short on nerves because of caring for my parents however I think that her prescription is called in a day ahead of time you should be able to go in 24 hours later and pick it up. read more

Four hours for my prescription! They told me 30 minutes and that they would text me when it was ready! 3 hours go by and no text so I call. Tell me another 30 minutes and they'll text when it's done. Another hour no text. So after 4 hours I go in and what do you know it's ready. The pharmacist was nice and so was the lady who put it in. But, I'm sick and need the meds and 4 hours for a big pharmacy is crazy! I'll go to Costco next time and pay more. read more
