Out of desperation, I called Jewel and they had a solution for me in 10 seconds. I switched my entire family here. They automatically linked all of our accounts together and when I was picking up one medication, they automatically let me know that my child's med was also ready (it had been on automatic refill and I didn't even realize it). Walgreens would have never done that. They are amazing in my book and it would take a lot to get me to go elsewhere.

This review is part two of my "monthly prescription" pharmacy saga. I really hope I'm not jinxing…read moremyself by writing this but here goes nothing. So to summarize Part 1, I gave up on the CVS located on the corner of Buffalo Grove Rd and Dundee Rd. So I decided to call Osco Pharmacies in my area. Every dang Pharmacist was SO rude and unhelpful but I wasn't really surprised because before I switched to CVS, I went to the Osco Pharmacy located inside the Jewel in Highland Park on Deerfield Rd and there was a lady with dark frizzy hair and glasses that would have made a perfect prison guard the way she interrogated me every dang month like I was a drug addict. Never recalling me even though we saw each other every month and had the same exact conversation. Of course, when I brought my husband with me one time, she melted like buttah at the sound of his Australian accent. From then on it got better. But then we moved to BG. After discovering rude, unhelpful Pharmacists also worked at every Osco in Buffalo Grove and Wheeling, I called up the one in Lake Zurich on Ela Rd. You heard me. I live in Buffalo Grove and here I am actually considering driving to Lake Zurich! Do you see how desperate I was at this point? That's how awful Pharmacists have been to me for the 20 years that I've been getting my medication on my own (mom always picked it up before that). In addition, this medication has gotten very expensive. CVS wanted to charge me $475 for it and Wal-Mart over $500, Out-of-Pocket, until I reached my $2600 deductible. So when the Pharmacist at Osco on Ela Rd in Lake Zurich was nice, helpful, had my medication in stock AND it was only $275, I was ready to sell my house and move to LZ lol. It gets better. In person, they didn't interrogate me or look at me in a judgemental manner. Instead they smiled. And get this...they actually made eye contact with me. Best of all, when I explained to them that I was going to need this medication every month and asked if they would be willing to order it every month so it was in stock for me, they said yes! I skipped out the door that afternoon. Making the trip each month is so worth it after all these years dealing with jerky Pharmacists. For 3 whole months I have had no pharmacy prescription order drama and I'm lovin' life because of it!

Forget the internet, their prices are the the same or very close to them. If they order an item and tell you it will be there on a certain date, rest assured they will be calling you to tell you your item is ready for pick up. The polite staff was able to quickly get my daughter in for an eye appointment; it had been over two years since her last exam. Dr. McHugh was thorough and patient as I asked questions. Once my daughter picked out her frame we thought we were ready to go-smooth sailing but the Wauconda location did not have anyone in their lab this particular day. The optician reassured me and quickly made a call to their Round Lake location. The lab had the frame but not the lenses and since it was the day before the holidays the lab personnel wanted to cut out early. By now we had left the store and the optician said she would try to do what she could but we were probably looking at 3-4 days before we would have the glasses. Sometime had passed when my phone rang. The Wauconda optician said that if we wanted to come pick up the frame and lenses, the Round Lake lab personnel would wait for me. Wow! I know he wanted to leave, it had been slow for the lab at that location and it was becoming late afternoon the day before the holiday. Who wouldn't want to cut their day short? We dashed up there where the gentleman from the lab was awaiting our arrival. He said it would take about an hour. An hour! He had waited for us about an hour already. So, two hours he stayed and waited and worked with us so that my daughter could have glasses over the long (2 weeks) holiday weekend! I would highly recommend Accuvision in Wauconda and Round Lake. My experience with the doctor and all of the staff was above and beyond quality service! We have been customers for many years now and have always been treated exceptionally! Please keep up the superb customer service. It will always win over the customers! Thank you Wauconda Accuvision for your fine service and prompt attention to help us out. I do appreciate what you all did. I want to put a P.S. here. Even though we had an appointment, we still waited 30 minutes plus to see the doctor-I don't understand that. Let me start by saying I read my insurance policy on my insurance website and then booked the appointment through my insurance provider saying this location was covered in my insurance network. I knew before arriving my insurance plan covered contacts and glasses. When I asked the front desk staff she looked at me and said "most people only get glasses or contacts so just pick out glasses as the best bang for your buck." Cool, so I pick out my glasses. As I'm doing so she pulls up my plan and tells me I have coverage for neither contacts or glasses. I try to explain to her that I work for a multi billion dollar pharmaceutical company and I'm definitely covered. I proceed to take out my company phone and look up my coverage again; where it tells me I'm covered. I look at my paycheck where I've been paying for eye insurance all year. I'm throughly confused. The two other front desk staff proceed to sing and mess around while I try to talk to the other women that thinks I came here with no insurance. The receptionist is the only person helping by calling my insurance company. After getting everything cleared up and experiencing what was the most unprofessional experience in a doctors office. I get my bill. Guess what I was covered for glasses and contact. Next time don't walk up to the customer and tell them that they are not covered until after you've called their insurance agency. Tamara, the Optician, was extremely helpful for someone who had no idea of what to look for. There was no pressure and great guidance. Even the left handed receptionist was really nice and welcoming.
