I told them that my current prescription was at my old Walgreens more than 2 hours away and I would not get there in time before they closed. I also made them aware that I would be getting very sick without my meds and because my meds were a partial fill, (my old pharmacy didn't have many in stock) that they couldn't or wouldn't help me. I even asked if they could give me just enough medicine to hold me over until I could make the 4 hour round trip drive to get another script and then transfer it to them. They told me they would not. I am shocked that they were so unhelpful especially when COVID is still rampant. Very disappointed with this pharmacy. A similar situation has happened to me previously and two other pharmacies were more helpful than this place. I'm not sure if I will be going to the Walgreens in Lake Geneva

I have switched to the on-line pharmacy through my insurance, Centerwell who are amazing. I only use Walgreens if I need something instantly. When my husband went to pick meds up at about 5:30 he was told 1 was out of stock, 1 was ready and 2 were waiting. The one that was not available was the antibiotic I really needed. So for for 4.5 hours it never occurred to anyone in the pharmacy to call me and lmk they did not have that one in stock. So by now it is 6:15. Walmart Pharmacy closes at 7:00. I have to call the ER, explain this snafu to them. Request that they send a new order for the antibiotics to Walmart. By now there are 27 minutes to work in and I did not get the ONLY medication important. No wonder they pull in 1 or 2 stars. Absolutely worthless, unprofessional, non-thinking mouth breathers. I will absolutely NEVER use them again. There is no thinking on their feet. There is one lady working there who actually has a handle on everything. That is Jackie. No one else is worth dealing with. Even the pharmacist was a major disappointment. PHARMACISTS know medications, but when I went to their little consultation window to ask him about my concern over a drug interaction his answer was "ask your doctor". Seriously? This happened several times, and enough was enough. No such issues here. My grandma also likes the rewards she earns shopping here, and the service has been helpful.

She intentionally upheld a prescription from a transfer from another CVS (Oak Park). Not only is this not CVS policy but ALEX did this on her own prerogative (found that out from my previous pharmacist) and then had the nerve to say "It takes a couple of days, don't hold your breath". Dealt with another person also named ALEX who talked to me like I was some sort of drug addict for a psychiatric medicine that I've had for years at CVS Under no circumstances should you ever go to this store and use their pharmacy. I believe the only recourse here will be filing a lawsuit for discrimination. I politely told ALEX I would be writing this kind of review and her response was: "DO WHATEVER, I DONT CARE" ALEX doesn't seem to understand or care that people can, and will, die from her mistreatment.

You get to check out and it's more. So I'm checking out in the self-check-out, blue cheese doesn't ring up "sale price". Now as we all know there's an app with digital coupons etc and there's just sale price that you need do nothing for. Lol!! Until today!!this is going to be the longest review over $1.25 ever. Ever have to prove something and go through so many steps that at a certain point you can't just walk away without that $1.25 because the person "helping you" is really just irritating you, prolonging the process every step of the way? So I call the lady there to "right wrongs" over. I'm going to tell her that the sale cheese that was 4.99 but marked sale for three $ something is not ringing up: it goes like this. As she comes over I'm ringing up a frozen dinner or about to, and notice it's been package taped on one end. I put it aside. She arrives saying, you don't want that? Me : no it's been taped.. instead of saying ok, she says where? I think "let me help you with your job so I can get to the question" and show and really just say "here .". She starts scrolling thru my screen of rung up items.,?? What are you doing? I ask. "Looking to see if you rang it up." "No I did not" ..Just ask? So I say I want to ask you about this cheese. I tell her the story. She says did you check your app to see if it's there. "Yes I have an app but no as I said it's a sale item. Regular sale." So I have to go to the app to prove it is not there. She takes my phone from me after I try to find digital coupons to prove this.. after she keeps saying no no the other way.. then she takes it and says no.. I'm losing patience that this is not simple. it's a dollar 25 folks. Just take my word and adjust it. She says it's not on sale either. I say well the sign over there clearly says it is. She: do you want to go take a picture,,, me yes... So I do and she grabs my phone away and starts off with it.. I tell her do not take my phone away from me ..you are never supposed to do that. She says I need to take to customer service to see if I can adjust it. OMG I'm thinking.. so I say I'll just leave it, ring the rest up and take it over myself.. now granted and I did point this out.. the sign says, in small letters at bottom of tag I did not notice til picture, on the top highest shelf, sale thru 10/29. It is 10/31 but it should be taken down then. Finally go to customer service show the photo and get my dollar 1.25 back. At this point I was not going to mention you should have refunded the 4.99 so I'd get the tax back too and re-rung it, but at that point I raised the white flag and got the heck outta there. And guess what? normally I just pay the 4.99 right or wrong, and go home and now I know why. But like I said I felt I'd put so much time into something that should have taken seconds..,Just omg tired of expired dates, stale frozen seafood(which reminds me I have some to take back) and wrong markings for prices. I had to write this as a last straw get your act together call out.

So when I called walgreens and managed to get a hold of a human, I was told this one was open 24 hours. I called them and they were able to move and fill my prescription right away. However, it wasn't something they did in a friendly manner. Instead I felt like they were annoyed to have to do something. The tone of the person on the phone was displeased to say the least. A similar issue at pickup, the gentleman who was running the counter wouldn't even acknowledge my small talk. Just flat out ignored me. Overall they can have a 3, they did the thing I needed, when I needed it done. That's good enough. A little customer service would go a long way... I know I'd be fired at my job if I acted that way and my job isn't potentially life or death like a pharmacy.
