So I decided to wait and then post my review. Brandi is the one who did my nails. I have to say she did a great job, too. Didn't use any harsh chemicals to take the polish off. All she used was a clean, new, nail filer. A little buff here, a little buff there, and wham! The polish is off. Felt like I was talking to a long lost friend ,by our connection and conversation. I was pampered from beginning to end . Didn't feel rushed. Was offered a beverage when I got there. Very professional. You want to hear something funny? I first told Brandi I didn't want any cherry, no bright colors, because I wasn't looking for such a dark color. After going through 5 different colors, I found the one I really liked. Yes, it's Mocha Cherry. Beautiful color, BTW. I've had multiple compliments. It's been 2 weeks. Just talking to the lady to schedule the appointment was terrifying but she made me feel comfortable. Trying to walk into the building the day of the appointment was a whole other challenge. I talked myself into it and made it in through the door. I was greeted by the most kind women that assured me it would be a great expierience. One thing that helped was to know that they all had to expierience this when getting hired. They all know the feelings I was feeling that day. My make up was beautiful. I'd wear make up all the time if I could make it look like that! Then came time to take "it" all off somehow I did that, too! Once they started taking pictures it was so easy! She told me where to go, how to pose, where to put my had/arm etc etc. I couldn't believe how comfortable I was wearing nearly nothing! I ended up purchasing all of the photos at the end on a drive. Was it expensive...well yeah. They work hard! Was it worth it...100%. My husband's reaction was priceless. 1st thing he said was that he's always seen these on facebook but never thought I would do that. For his 30th birthday I had surprised him with a trip to his first michigan game and bought him an authentic jersey. I wore that jersey for part of the photo shoot. I've only gotten coloring once so far but am due soon for another and my experience with that has also been nothing short of excellent. The color matched my natural tone very well and I've always left this salon feeling like I got exactly what I'd wanted, unlike previous salons I've been to where it felt like the stylist wasn't open to my suggestions, especially when it comes to cutting it shorter. The salon itself is clean and kempt, and the atmosphere tends towards a chic aesthetic, with lots of sleek black and white contrast. There's usually classic rock playing, which adds to the unique mood of the salon. Making appointments is super easy -- having the ability to make appointments online with real-time scheduling is a huge plus for this place. Some places I've found can have issues with being actually available at your appointment time, but I've never had to wait when I walk in (sometimes 5 or so minutes early) for my appointments, which makes me feel like my time is valued and means I can reliably schedule my day around the appointment. The prices are great to boot. This is definitely a gem of a salon and I hope to be able to keep returning for a long time to come! Definitely recommend :)
