I hate to give this business a 4 star when it's really a 5, but i don't want to give in to the…read morehype. The hype would be is that Blacks cannot run businesses that cater to our own people or do well. Its no secret to anyone with eyes that Blacks don't own much of anything, and the Blacks that do (have buisnesses)take their money and run off to non-Black areas asap leaving these areas to be bare and useless until someone else comes through to make money off of us.. All too often forgetting about the fact that Black people need to eat, drink, go shopping ,socialize and have a job in which should be provided by people that look alot like ourselves. Now that that's over, ill explain why J- Beauty makes the cut. I don't expect Koreans or anyone else to love Black people or even want to be bothered with us. That's not what page I'm on.If you have special talents, looks or money, or at least one of those things that would all be different.Thats how most of us Blacks get over anyway. All I'm asking for is a little respect and kindness when i walk into the door.A shopping experience where i can get in and out without tripping over things.I don't like being followed all over the damn place.A large selection of items to choose over also wouldn't hurt either.Clean stores, well air conditioned with sturdy floors and decent enough prices. Even though i had sworn off Korean owned Black beauty supplies in the past i Will step out on a limb and give this business establishment a high praise for sticking to all of the things mentioned above. I don't try to support these businesses if i don't have to.This is not to say that when i get back to Los Angeles i wont be all over K-Town or Monterrey Park or other Asian areas.Im just saying that i wont give my money to 98% of any of these establishments that make me feel like crap anymore. J-Beauty has earned my buisness and has changed my mind as far as this is concerned as long as I'm in the Lake county area, and if they hadn't trust me i wouldn't be writing a review giving them such a high recommendation . The next time as a Black women you are feeling you are not getting the respect you deserve and you don't have time to order your items online.I'll make a suggestion of J-Beauty on the Plaza with Lewis Produce to get all of the things you need in the meantime without all of the B.S you're normally use to!

I…read morearrived at the check-in desk at approximately 9:22 a.m. and was immediately told, quite rudely, that my appointment had just been canceled as a "no show." I explained that my appointment was scheduled for 9:20 a.m., which was confirmed both via their text system and again by phone the day prior. I was told I was "incorrect" and that the appointment was actually for 9:15 a.m. I then showed my original confirmation on my phone clearly stating 9:20 a.m., at which point a 9:15 a.m. cancellation conveniently appeared. Despite being less than two minutes late for an appointment that had been confirmed for 9:20 a.m., I was told they could not accommodate me because they were fully booked and insisted my appointment was at 9:15am despite seeing with their eyes, that it was at 9:20am (they did not share evidence that their system actually indicated 9:15am and the individual was very rude from the get go). There was no apology, no attempt to resolve the discrepancy, and no accountability--only repeated insistence that I was out of luck. When I expressed that this was unfair and suggested their booking system needed to be corrected, the response was simply, "I agree," with no further effort to help. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and the tone throughout was dismissive and unprofessional. This was one of the most rude and unjust customer service experiences I've had. The lack of any type of apology for the inconvenience to me, was icing on the cake. Unfortunately and mysteriously I'm currently unable to log into my account or reset my password; otherwise, I would include the staff member's name.
