A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I decided that for our annual boardgaming weekend near here we would order groceries online from the comfort of our homes (hours away) and pick them up here instead of buying them far away and driving then up to the cabin. I researched online and found Walmart had a 3-week window for grocery orders (you couldn't order them farther out than that). Since I didn't need them in 3 weeks, I put together an order online and picked the farthest out date. I basically wanted to see what they had, how the process worked, etc. The website had trouble finding this store, so I had to call them up and confirm their address. Still problems, so I moved on to selecting groceries. Finding most things I wanted online was easy, though some items were out of stock (2L bottles of Pepsi? Walmart brand cookies? Zucchini? Are you kidding me?) and I found that odd. Ordering large packs of meat was problematic as you could put in the cart a package of chicken weighing between 2.75 - 4 pounds, but it wouldn't tell you the weight. And knowing how much it weighed is a big problem when ordering it to feed 8 guys, so I decided that when we picked up the groceries we would just need to check. All in all, though, it went well. Fast forward three weeks and I was ready to place it "for real" (I was now within the 3-week window of my trip). But I couldn't adjust the pick up date anymore. I tried everything, but no good. So, I called Walmart IT and they were clueless too. They had to call their IT staff and put us into a 3-way call (that ended up taking 45 minutes total) and it turns out Walmart has changed their site and process in the past 3 weeks. My old order cannot be cancelled, but I cannot use it for pick-up either. I needed to place a new order. Their window is now only 1 week instead of 3 weeks, and lots more items are out of stock. So, we made a new order and I got ready to submit it but held off for a day. The next day, it was gone... and only my old order was left. I had to do it all over again. I just don't understand how this system is supposed to be more convenient then going into the store to shop. I am stuck with an old order (of 70+ items) that won't go out of my shopping cart and the IT can't cancel it. I just have to wait and perhaps it will disappear. My new order isn't saving because I already have something in my "shopping cart" (my old order). And the old order cannot be processed because it was started under the old version of the website. GRRR!

My medications ran out, I called the CVS Watertown (the nearest CVS my sister in Canada) and was treated with the upmost respect and care. I was able to contact my Dr and had her send my scripts to Watertown. I was able to travel to Watertown yesterday from Ottawa and pick them up. The Pharmacist I believe his name was Mike but I didn't write it down, was so kind to me and helped fill my scripts and ease my mind. I've worked for minimum wage and in retail so Yeh I got pissy when customers came in last minute but until the clock struck our closing time they had every right. It sucks but it happens. I have a colicky 6 week old and the second I could leave the house to get him colic probiotics I did. Nothing makes you want to turn around and go somewhere else like a disgruntled employee cutting you off. You close at 9 deal with it. It's 10 more minutes. I am a nurse and I am a veteran and I would have loved to have trivial complaints like 10 minutes. Try deploying or working 14 hours a day. Truly annoyed. The cashier jaquelynn (spelling?) was really nice she gets 5 stars for herself.

The pharmacy department is decent and quick, the staff is informative to the situations that arise. Bug draw back- bathroom. Don't come here to use the bathroom in the summer. The line is usually backed up and after a few people it statutes to smell funny- not the fault of the staff (tourist).

9/12/17 While here…read moreon vacation my husband had a freak accident - while cutting a sausage the hot juice squirted in his eye burning it - a quick stop to Kinney Drugs and we got very courteous help from the young attractive female pharmacist on duty - she immediately knew what to suggest and after few applications of the eye drops his was fine - how refreshing to be so far away from home (Maryland) and receive such kind help.

Earlier that day, I had already sifted through all my photos and placed the ones I wanted to print in their own folder. But when I went to Walgreens, the machine just registers EVERY photo on your camera, and so I would have had to look through nearly 2,000 photos to find the ones I had ALREADY selected. That's what the worker recommended I do. So I left, went to Kinney Drugs, and got all my photos in a matter of minutes.
