He took the time to show me the images he took of my eyeballs, walk through what the problem was (wearing contact lenses for too long), and put me at ease from beginning to end. The wait time wasn't bad at all. I was seen very close to my appointment time and was out of there in under half an hour. Not to mention there were quite a few parking spots right in front of the office. The office is very clean and modern-looking. All in all, this was a much more pleasant experience than the eye office I usually go to (Boston Eye in Brookline, where you can wait close to up an hour to see a doctor and there's no validation for parking).

I was warmly greeted by Lia, and after chatting for a few minutes, she told me about the Labor Day sale they were having. She showed me a couple of frames that she thought would look great on me, and she was absolutely right! She even wrote down the frames for me so I could think about it. I told her I'd be back, and she probably thought, "Sure, I'll never see her again!" Well, she was wrong! Lia made such a wonderful impression on me that I went back today with my prescription, and we ordered the frames we had picked out together. And then, somehow, I ended up purchasing a pair of sunglasses too! The entire experience was so easy, relaxed, and enjoyable. Lia was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely interested in helping me find something that looked great. There was absolutely no pressure--just fantastic customer service. Then when I wasn't thrilled with either (and might have to accept I am nearing a glasses only point), she let me come by for a third approach. Dr. Cohen's staff also is friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful all-female vibe in the office. They also have a great selection of frames (although most are expensive, even at Target frames can be expensive). I was surprised that there are any negative reviews on this page. Understanding the insurance benefits allows the office to provide services that presumably many people decline because they don't have sufficient coverage. Dr. Cohen has been taking care of my vision needs for about 13 years now and I recommend her highly.

They also pointed out why my older frames weren't the best fit for my face and educated me to the sizing and numbers located on the frame. I've worn glasses now for 20 years, and I've never experienced such top notch service, expedience, and more useful facts surrounding the process. I would give 0 or 1/2 a star if I could…read more... I recently had an eye exam because my glasses were no longer working well and I was having trouble seeing clearly. At the end of the exam, the doctor told me that she had "increased my prescription slightly." I used the prescription provided by the office to order new glasses online, but when they arrived, I could barely see through them. I compared the new prescription to my previous one and discovered that, despite being told it was increased, the new prescription was actually weaker! I called the office hoping to get some clarification or have the doctor review it. Instead, the receptionist was dismissive and argumentative. I was told the prescription was based on my responses during the exam and essentially that there was nothing wrong with it. She did not even offer to speak with the doctor. It had only been a little over a week since the appointment. At one point, I was even told that glasses don't necessarily need to be "crisp and clear" and that being slightly off is okay for some people. Seriously? I understand that prescriptions are based on patient responses during an exam, and I wasn't asking the office to reimburse me for glasses purchased elsewhere. I simply wanted someone to take seriously the fact that I was told my prescription had been increased when the written prescription actually decreased--and that I could not see properly with it. The lack of concern and customer service was extremely disappointing. I don't think wanting to see clearly and crisply through a new prescription is an unreasonable expectation.
